So...I stole dh’s switch while he was at work. Then I flew to his island and dressed him in the bone suit I bought from the tailor today! I can’t wait for him to get home! Lol!

To be fair...I softened the blow by also leaving him enough bells to pay off his first loan and giving him the blue painted wall and a couple of tools!

I got home from work yesterday to find that dh (who is still working from home) had dressed my character up to look like Slash from Guns & Roses

Heads up! Celeste is on my island although the meteor shower has not started yet. I will post a dodo code to this thread as soon as I see the first star! Since I will be posting the code to just all of you, I will not restrict to friends only since I am not friends with all of you yet. Just please do not share the code with anybody outside our group.
The usual disclaimer: please do not trample my flowers or take anything other than the DIY recipes at my three green striped stalls along the main center walk way. I some things dropped on the beach that I am not sure yet what I am doing with them. Unless you want to catalog any of those by picking them up and dropping them again.
Thank you!

I had a great experience selling turnips today! I joined the turnip exchange earner this week. I bought 2500 turnips on Sunday at 95 bells and then someone in my FB ACNH group posted a link to her turnip exchange queue. I clicked on it immediately and joined the queue. I was the ninth person to join the cue and then I could follow along to see where I was in the queue. It took about 40 minutes for me to get my space in line and then I sold all of my turnips for 548 bells! That was quite the profit! I paid off my house loan only to take out another one so I can get the basement!

Hi, catching up on thread as I've been off line for the past week. This thread just makes me smile, I love how much fun we all are having! I went away for the weekend with family and I tried playing on my little Switch unit and it's just not the same as on my couch on my big ass tv lol. I've been working on my island and slowly starting to learn how to build paths, eating my native fruit to move trees etc. Gosh its such a planner/strategizing mind work out, I LOVE it. Does anyone get satisfaction from doing that? Lining things up just right. I swear I spent IDK how long spinning around a little flower on top of an iron table so it would display *just right*. Ah, but when you get it right and you step back and survey everything..oh the joy! I'm also noticing landscaping as I venture out and think "I should try that". I stupidly time travelled BACK this week and spoiled $100k worth of turnips! I just went back two hours to grab a pair of purple Leopard print pumps from Able Sisters and blam! lesson learned. I was thinking if I time travel back again to Sunday, buy turnips again will that work if I then come back to today's date? IDK if I missed any good turnips sells offs, I have to check the turnip thread. I can Google for the answer but I thought I'd ask here. Oh and I don't remember who recommended the "Travel Guide" app but THANK YOU. Wow, I love how much detail it goes into, even in detail profiles on the Villagers such as what gifts to buy them? Great app, I can't play without my phone right next to me to tick off all my tasks. I left the developer a tip too.

The sheer satisfaction of being the first to receive a "Photo of XXXX" is so worth all the gift giving to the residents. The easiest thing is a non-native fruit in wrapping paper, but every now and then I find something and it's "perfect for such and such". I haven't tried playing on the Switch away from the tv, but I bet the adjustment sucks... I could see trying to do it on a road trip though. We have not time traveled, so I can't help there. I have those same purple pumps though!

I play the Switch all the time with just the handheld console. Mostly because either my husband is watching or playing something else on our TV and I don’t want to hook it up to our other TV or because I’m playing quietly in bed or while my daughter is nursing.
You get used to it! I actually enjoy having the screen in between the controllers sometimes. I wish the joycons had the same feel as the pro controller.

Yes, you can time travel back to Sunday morning and forward to today. You just can't go backwards with turnips and you can't travel forward further than Saturday because if you cross the next Sunday, they spoil too.

I picked an island that had tons of water because I thought "that way I'll never have to worry about crops dying due to drought." I had no idea. So my stupid island is all chopped up with a billion lakes and rivers. I also planted flowers and trees all over the place with no rhyme or reason. I told my friend I just wanted a lawn mower to mow down all the flowers and start over because replanting is so tedious. The next morning, she had mailed me a lawnmower LOL

What is the exact name of the App? There are so many ACNH apps it is crazy! Thank you! paperamy told us about the app ACNH.Guide - it's free, unless you upgrade to get rid of the ads. It's handy! I also use nookplaza.net/tools for villager gifts. Although, I don't find them all to be accurate. I like the Outfit Generator, too. I picked an island that had tons of water because I thought "that way I'll never have to worry about crops dying due to drought." I had no idea. Yeah, one of my villagers made a comment on my first day that they got a cold from being out in the rain without a hat. I immediately purchased a hat and then it didn't rain for a few days. LOL!! I told my friend I just wanted a lawn mower to mow down all the flowers and start over because replanting is so tedious. The next morning, she had mailed me a lawnmower LOL OMG, that'd be hilarious if it worked!

Thank you! oh well I only saw one, I assume that's the one that was recommended. Its called "ACNH Travel Guide" and it's worth more than the $3 they charge **ed because now I see this isn't the one that was recommended. But I'm super happy with it. The home board has all the daily tasks you need to do to tick off which is handy (did I get all the fossils?) you check it and it's a little ring that gets progressively highlighted as you find all 4 or is it 5? You do this for the rocks to bang, the money tree to plant, basically all your tasks. Then it has the entire database of furniture and DIY recipes with pics so you know what you already have. Lists all the Villagers and you designate yours so they show up on your home page so you can remember to talk to everyone. I used to talk to the same Villagers over and over and forget who I missed. It also gives you profiles on your Villagers like personality, fave color/style. Perfect gifts to send. I didn't even know that was a thing!? Really cool app.

If you have a great turnip price and time travel away from it, it won’t still be there when you come back.

And then I spent a fortune on camelia bushes and azalea bushes to ring perimeters of my gardens and what!? Now they are all out of bloom and I have to buy hydrangeas now? Ah well, the price to pay for a pretty little town. So I get to fishin!

I also planted flowers and trees all over the place with no rhyme or reason We are in the same situation - I picked the layout that looked most interesting and then spent most of my time pole vaulting across rivers and climbing ladders! We are now gathering our fruit trees into a couple of orchards - 8 of each. Once we have that, we are chopping down any other fruit trees and then making sure we have a reasonable amount of regular trees and cypress. If anyone has an idea of what the right number of each of those is, I'd love to hear it! I think someone said around 17 non-fruit trees was a good number?

littlemama that's where I'm at too. Too many dang trees! I need to save my native fruit trees for eating power but the others for shaking and making money. I think it's the cedar trees that get pretty for Christmas but what about Cherry blossoms? I didn't have AC during CB season. I'm trying to plan strategically not only for bell generating but aesthetics too.
