NASCAR bans the Confederate flag at events

The really disgusting part is that due to restrictions on access by COVID-19 protocols, the only people with access to the Cup garage are Cup team members, NASCAR officials and track and safety workers.  No fans and Drivers aren’t even allowed in the garage.  

Let that sink in.

If Nascar had any balls they’d pack up and leave and never go back.

Ha. On the county highway going to my subdivision, a yokel had so many huge Trump signs and Confederate flags. Last week he totally redid his display and removed all Confederate crap, but out up some new Trump signage. SOrry, not sorry, young white asshole dude, we know you are a racist. You already flew that flag for years.

Truthfully, one reason we bought in a HOA was because they forbid all political signs and flags other than the U.S. Flag. We looked at too many nice houses in nice neighborhoo rd where neighbors had huge Confederate disp!ays. I am not looking at that shi t so close to my house.

Is anyone watching the race right now?

The beginning with all of the drivers standing behind Bubba was amazing.

I never thought I would cry at a sport event.

wow.  I hope they find whoever did it, and prosecute them for a hate crime.   I never thought I'd get emotional watching a Nascar race (besides seeing a baaaad wreck) but that video clip was very moving. 

Drivers are not even allowed in the garage. They are required to go from their motorcoach or personal vehicle directly to their car on the grid, as an additional COVID 19 safety measure. People starting ridiculous rumors like this sicken me. 

What do you mean? It's been mentioned for years.

NASCAR asked fans to stop flying it a few years ago, and offered a flag trade in program, but it wasn't enforced. 
Obviously some people are very passionate about it. 

Bubba was on CNN a couple of weeks ago and said he wished NASCAR would ban it from tracks in order to make all people feel welcome to the track. NASCAR announced the ban 2 days later and has made a very public stance since. 

Why would you even say this?

You are perpetrating a racial bias. It’s sick.

And I said I hoped it's not true. I've liked Bubba for years.
