anyone watching this? I watched season 1, which was pretty short (British series and they seem to have short seasons). It was so good. Season 2 is just as good so far. So many twists and turns in this show! I know it's an older show but I think this is the first time I've heard of it so maybe it only aired overseas before.

We watched the first 2 episodes and really liked it. We're waiting for DS to come back to SIP with us before we continue.

It’s one of the best UK police series ever, and it doesn’t lose quality as the series go on. The interview scenes are always incredibly well acted and so gripping.

We've loved this too. Have watched seasons 1-4 and have 5 ready to watch. It is gripping and really fantastic tv.

Hands down one of the best shows ever. I’ve watched each series multiple times. Episode 1 starts each series with heart pounding, and then it’s a roller coaster. I have a crush on Ted “like the battle” Hastings. He is the moral compass of the show. I cannot wait for series 6.

I absolutely love it, definitely one of the best UK police series, along with Happy Valley. Actually, one of the best police series full stop, not just UK. We've loved this too. Have watched seasons 1-4 and have 5 ready to watch. It is gripping and really fantastic tv. Oh bewdy, I didn't realise season 5 was already on TV here. What are you watching it on?

AussieMeg I had to buy it from AppleTV. I bought it when we were in Queensland and desperate to watch it as we'd just finished S4 but couldn't' play it on the tv up there. We've been watching Silent Witness on Foxtel and got right into that (although S15 & 16 are missing!) so hadn't gone back to it.

But it looks like they've moved it to a new channel, Fox Sleuth, but they only have Season 4. I have fallen way behind with Silent Witness. The season 20 finale was OMG the BEST!!! Hurry up and get up to that one! ABC is up to the end of Season 22, but iView only keeps two episodes (so really one 2-part episode) at a time.

Line Of Duty is THE BEST police drama! I’ve rewatched each series a number of times and am currently in the middle of one right now. Those of you not in the UK who enjoy it - Martin Compston who plays Steve Arnott is actually Scottish with a fairly strong Scottish accent. It is so weird (but nice!) to hear him speaking normally on chat shows and the like. You might find him on a chat show/magazine show if you search YouTube. The only ones I can think of right now are The One Show or The Graham Norton Show. He’s in a number of drama shows, mainly with an English accent. ETA he lives in Nevada with his wife, actress Tianna Chanel Flynn. ETA 2 here he is on a magazine show m.youtube.com/watch?v=OmgzCxq6c3s I think I’m obsessed!

I'm only on season 2 but the guy that plays Dryden (also a Scot, I believe) was a really likable and weird character on Catastrophe. I haven't looked at anything beyond season 2 because of spoilers...but I'm guessing he's not on past season 2.

He was brilliant in the recent drama, The Nest, and used his own accent. It was well written, used Scottish actors and real Scottish words and expressions, and I loved it.

I finished season 2 and it feels like it didn't get fully resolved at the end. I think I need a "line of duty explained" video. eta: this helped a lot. I think I need to watch each episode more than once.

Some things don’t get fully resolved at the end of each series. It leaves some things open to carry on with in the next series. The writing is quite genius, imho, as each series CAN stand alone but the threads of the stories that are woven through the whole lot really hook you in. I’ve watched each series about 3 times and I usually watch the most recent again almost immediately to pick up on bits I’ve missed.

One of the best Police drama series if not the best IMO. So many twists and turns in it. They're in the process of making series 6 I believe but covid-19 has put everything on hold at the moment so we'll just have to wait a little longer.

We loved it. There's another one called No Offence about female police detectives that was good as well. I think I watched Line of Duty on Acorn and No Offence on Britbox.

We just finished season one last night. It's really interesting how we totally get immersed in the British Crime shows. We will often watch 2 or even 3 episodes in one night. We never used to do that. We're also watching Scott and Bailey which is very good.

I had to look it up because it's been so long since I watched it I couldn't remember what happened at the end of that particular season. How good was it?!?!

It was the season that Dot framed Steve as *The Caddy*. Kate finally figured it out and the last scene was her going to Steve's cell when they told him he could go home.

Just finished season 4 last night. Season 5 isn't on Prime but we will buy it for $12.99 on BBC OnDemand. Like DH said, we're saving a lot of money not going to the movies every Tuesday so this is a drop in the bucket!

Love this show. Season 5 was gripping and I'm still not sure who H is.... Looking forward to the next season.

We finished season 5 last night. Great season ALTHOUGH they were over the top pointing the finger at Hastings being H. At the end it looked like he was going to give a package of money to John's widow. It was also pretty obvious to us that Gill was *bent*. Kate and Steve to the rescue again!!
And I'll be really disappointed if the main story line in season 6 is Steve being addicted to opioids. REALLY disappointed.
