Is anyone else counting down until the OA Santa Sacks will be available? I purchased one last year and I've used it quite a bit... I love everything I got!

Since I've already bought EVERYTHING (& then some, plus doubles & occasionally triples of my favorites) on my wish list from OA's first collections through its latest release, Public Library, I do not plan to buy any Santa Sacks this year. I'm still waiting for NEW product!

Although not the OP, IIRC a new Santa Sack is offered for sale on the company website on Mondays for five consecutive weeks at $50/each, including shipping. A unique mix of paper & embellishments are included in the Sack each week, which allows you to sample a variety of OA products. The company strives not to duplicate product, so you can order all five Sacks without risk of receiving multiples of the same product. Last year's Santa Sacks contained paper &/or embellishments from 5 & Dime, 9 to 5, Boarding Pass, Cakewalk, Campfire, Daily Flash (a new release at the time), Farm Girl, Farmhouse, Fly A Kite, Holiday Style, Make It Merry, Midway, Report Card, Rocket Age, Sasparilla, Sidewalks, Silent Night, Sticky Keys, Thrift Shop, Travel Girl, Witch Hazel, & Woodland Park. I did not get any last year so I might this year. OA is my favourite company since the demise of Sassafras. I believe they usually start sometime in November (mid November maybe? And last 5 weeks or so). And last year they also had a stamp sack which looked like an AMAZING deal if you stamp. You can check You Tube people usually put up haul videos of the boxes.

The Sacks are limited to OA product, & each Sack contains a unique mix of products that varies week-to-week & year-to-year. Since the company has released only two new collections - Daily Flash (includes six mini lines) & Public Library - during the last two years, it's inevitable older lines dominate the selection. Daily Flash was released last year just a few weeks before the Santa Sacks went on sale. Week 4 was the only Sack to contain a sample of the Daily Flash line: Milk Money Math, Apple Cider Bake Sale, Apple Cider Harvest, Eggnog Fruit Cake, & Eggnog Gingerbread. I expect Daily Flash to make an appearance in more than one Sack, while at least one week will include a sample of the latest release, Public Library, this year. IIRC Santa Sacks go on sale around Veterans Day & continue for five consecutive weeks. Last year OA added an extra week & offered a Stamp Sack. Uncertain whether it will be available again this year &/or another specialty sack added. HTH |

Sorry it took me so long to reply... it's been a busy week. I purchased week 4, and I was pleased with the selection I received. Lots of paper from various collections, an 8x8 travel girl paper pad, chipboard, letter stickers, buttons, and die cut shapes. If you want to know exactly what I received, I can pull out my box from last year and take a picture.  |

There are a few youtube videos of what people received last year. I'll probably pass this year. I have so much as it is and if there's no new Christmas line, there's no point in getting them for me, anyway.

I've bought since first year, guess I'm clueless- I don't remember them starting this early!
But I also feel it should be August and school starting, My "feelings" about time aren't reliable right now. Life is a whirlwind!

Just went to look, last year, the first week was the week of November 11th. They had 4 weeks of paper products and the fifth week was Stamps.... So yeah, they are behind and I'm really try to be patient.

Per last year's flyer, Santa Sacks went on sale around Veterans Day, a new one was listed every Monday for five consecutive weeks, & an extra/sixth week was added for the debut of the Stamp Sack. Without communication from OA, the reason Santa Sacks did not start selling this week, like in prior years, is speculation - fewer sacks? decided to cancel? no extra week for stamps? Unfortunately, customers continue to wait on Santa Sacks as well as the releases of Treasure Map & the mysterious Daily Flash-Summertime - UGH! |

On their FB page people have asked about Santa Sacks this year and they replied they will be doing them. Granted this was last month (October) and they did say they will be around the same time as last year. I am guessing they will be starting next Monday and they will not be doing stamp sacks maybe?
