I recently bought a SUPER cute paper pad for cardmaking/scrapbooking (thank you to the Diversity thread for the head's up!) Michael's carrying capital chic designs capitolchicdesigns.com/ and www.michaels.com/capitol-chic-designs-paper-pad-6in-x-6in/10622410.htmlThe paper is lovely and I already have some great cards and pages planned for it. There is one page in the pad though that has me scratching my head. It is a full page, with room for a pic or writing in the middle, and on top there is a banner that says, "Planner Friends Forever." I am just really curious, as I am not a person who has a planner: Do people use planners together? Do you scrapbook about your planner? Are there planner groups, the way that there are scrapbooking groups, as in getting together to fill out your planner, like someone would get a papercrafting group together? I just found all this super interesting, as the last time I actually laid hand on a planner I think the cover said "Franklin Covey" or something like that. Shows my age! Anyway, this is a great stack and I highly recommend picking it up-it's not on sale so you can use a 50% off coupon on it, so it is 2.99 at M's right now.

There are definitely planner meet-ups, or at least there were in the Before Times. I used to see planner people (online) getting together IRL at a coffee shop and they'd all take photos of their chunky TNs stacked together on the table. And there are tons of people whose Instagram circles are just planner people, so I'm guessing a lot of people have Planner Friends. It's a whole artistic scene. It's pretty fun to check out all the beautiful artwork people put in their bujos and notebooks and planners. I can't be bothered, and I don't get the endless changing around - some people change which planner they use week by week which just makes no sense to my brain! but I enjoy observing it

Yes there are planner friends. I personally don’t know anyone irl that does a crafty planner but I’d love a friend.

I struggle with updating my google calendar so I don't think a planner is in my future, but I love how papercrafting has evolved and how people have taken it in different directions!

I must get to a Michael’s I NEED her blue green sticker book Well, I don't know what M's is doing differently from JA, but I tell you, they could not make it easier. I ordered online, 2 hrs later got a notice my order was ready to be picked up, got there, called from my car, they ran it out and threw it in my hatch. Easy peasy!

Back when I was into my planner (like 5 years ago), I went to a meetup event that even had a “celebrity” stop by — it was just a popular planner Instagrammer that most people knew.
There were activities, vendors, door prizes... but it was mostly people sitting around at tables looking at each other’s decorated planners. Many people also liked checking out your setup for ideas or if they were unsure if they wanted to buy the same type of planner.
