A few years ago I bought a ton of scrapbook/stamping stuff at a garage sale for $20. Got a lot of decent stuff. I didn't know exactly what I was getting but ended up getting mostly stamps. I have only dabbled in stamping. Just not my thing. I get frustrated and so yeah, I never stamp much. Then I was going to sell them. I organized them, bagged them up in lots, inventoried everything.
But yeah, didn't do much with that. Then I thought I am really going to spend the time and figure out all the different inks and how this all works. That lasted an hour.
My friend is a HUGE card maker.. She LOVES stamping. I am giving all the stamps to her (except a few I can use easily).. an entire plastic storage box full. The box is so heavy I had to bag them up in different bags to carry to the car. After work she is stopping by and picking it all up. I am so happy to get rid of them knowing she is thrilled with it.
I hope I don't regret it later down the road (I am 99% sure I won't)

This is just the nicest story. So often we give things to Goodwill or throw stuff in the trash, and we’d really want nothing more than to feel we didn’t waste money...you will know that your stamps are in grateful hands and they will get lots of use!
There is a beautiful lightness that comes in decluttering. Giving a gift makes it all the better. Congratulations!

Kudos to you! And congrats to your friend who's about to have the time of her stamping life... I'd say those $20 were anything but wasted. She's going to be so happy and get so much use out of them. This was the best outcome. You get your space and freedom of mind back. She gets everything she could wish for and then some. I hope she doesn't forget to make you a thank you card with her new pretties.

I hope I don't regret it later down the road (I am 99% sure I won't) The best thing about giving them to a friend is if you suddenly NEED to use one of them, I bet you could borrow it from her!

I get frustrated and so yeah, I never stamp much. Then I was going to sell them. I organized them, bagged them up in lots, inventoried everything. I tried selling stamps and it is not worth the time! At least where I live. I had them marked down to $3-$5 a set and zero interest. Much easier to donate or give to a good home.

Few years ago I donated to a womens shelter a car full of papers and other crafty goods. They were very excited because they have kids at these shelters and they were able to provide activities for them.
