I tried to do a July 4th photo shoot of DGD but she is just on the move and not posing right now. This photo doesn't even look like her but it was one of the best of what I got. I grabbed a candid shot of DGD with her dad and I think it's a keeper!

Sharing some of my DD. Because they can't dance in the studio, all classes have been online. and since they aren't getting their normal competition photos to use on social media, the studio owner asked for the dancers to take photos and send them in. These are some that I took with my "real" camera and the studio ate them up I fiddled with background saturation on the last one to let her tutu stand out. I've done 2 more "shoots" since then, but with another dancer included. dance shots katie bent jete by kirstendrew, on Flickr Dance Shots Katie Backbend Jump by kirstendrew, on Flickr dance shots katie jete by kirstendrew, on Flickr Dance Shots Katie Trick Square by kirstendrew, on Flickr dance shots katie handstand by kirstendrew, on Flickr Dance Shots Katie Arabesque Tutu by kirstendrew, on Flickr Dance Shots Katie Backbend Tutu sat change by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Summer is homemade berry lemonade time. I don’t have enough of my own raspberries yet but FIL gave us a big bag of young berries: July by jo.blackford, on Flickr My summer food garden, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, lettuce, and tomatoes. July by jo.blackford, on Flickr Front garden crocosmia and NZ flax, both hummingbird and bee food, and I think a hummingbird photobombed in the top right! 4th of July tie dye shirts. All of the smaller kid’s on our court made them. Made these 3 for our neighbor’s sweet grand babies. 😊 Cannas in our backyard. 4th of July virgin strawberry Daiquiris for the teens.

grammadee Date day was fun! It was our second one. Our first was last weekend. The rules are: we have to pick a direction to go...NSEW, the drive no less than 30 min. from our home with no set plans of where we will eat, although we can have an idea. Last week, we drove about 40 min. S. About 35 min. out, we decided we wanted BBQ, and looked up the options. There were 3 to choose from. This week, we headed 30 min. S we knew we wanted tacos, There are at least 4 places in that area to choose from, so when we got there, we picked the place by how big the outdoor patio was. LOL The second set of pics was right outside the popsicle place in an apartment area courtyard. (Those really nice apartment areas that are above the shops).

MalleyCat. Yep tried a trap. Not only is she wild, she's smart The smart ones are the worst!😬 A drop trap might work? Or try opening both doors on trap and put wet food in a bowl, in the middle of trap. Do this for a week and she might decide to go in, when you set the trap. I’m sure your already withholding food for a day or two? 😉

Do you know any place that will help rehome the kittens? I'm getting attached. 2 of the 3 are tamed to the point that if I go out the door and call "Baby Cats" they come running. Still working on the 3rd one.

Oh my@gramma, I’m glad we don’t live close to you! We already have 4 but kittens are so irresistible . I’m glad they have you to help find them homes. On their own, I’m sure their survival rate is dismal!

MalleyCat - I can't tell you how much I love those tie-died shirts. I keep revisiting the picture. They're all so even, and the colours are perfect. Forgive me more dance photo spamming here. I am SO PROUD of these because when you take photos of 1 dancer it's hard to get the timing right, but when you take pictures of 2 dancers you have to get the timing right on TWO, plus each one has their opinion on OMG so many factors...hair hands feet knees elbows how high we jumped how far we leaned forward you were smiling I was not my skirt swished wrong ... I was going crazy! But they tell me now that I did well This is my favourite - Crosswalk jete katie megan jete across road by kirstendrew, on Flickr Love the lighting in this one - katie megan viva sweep by tree by kirstendrew, on Flickr Love my DD's ability - katie high jump square by kirstendrew, on Flickr And the rest! katie megan viva hands together pointe by kirstendrew, on Flickr katie in tree by kirstendrew, on Flickr katie megan viva arabesque at tree by kirstendrew, on Flickr katie megan sumac swan pose by kirstendrew, on Flickr katie megan viva sumac by kirstendrew, on Flickr katie megan viva troll hole by kirstendrew, on Flickr katie megan viva front kick square by kirstendrew, on Flickr katie megan viva arabesques normal crop by kirstendrew, on Flickr katie megan viva fondue arabesque by kirstendrew, on Flickr katie megan signage by trail square by kirstendrew, on Flickr katie megan facing on bench square by kirstendrew, on Flickr katie megan black suits fourth by kirstendrew, on Flickr katie megan arch develpe by kirstendrew, on Flickr katie megan splits hair flip by kirstendrew, on Flickr katie megan blueberry by kirstendrew, on Flickr katie megan pose facing by kirstendrew, on Flickr MEGAN KATIE FRONT KICK 2 by kirstendrew, on Flickr KATIE MEGAN GRAND JETE by kirstendrew, on Flickr

gramma, those kittens are darling. I miss having a batch or two of kittens every spring. It all started when we moved out to the farm. Our kids saw a stray cat near the barn and started feeding her. Soon she had started a whole dynasty in the loft. Every spring the kids would go up there and tame all the babies. We gave away what we could and took the rest to the SPCA for rehoming. The last litter, I actually took into the college and my adult students claimed them all! But we managed to spay a couple of the mamas to keep, and gave away more than one with her family to people who wanted to deal with mouse problems on acrages. Haven't had a mama on the place now for at least 5 years. Now our two neutered males have to provide all the cat love we need.

For ScrapHappy miniLOAD the prompts are running through the rainbow. Yesterday was the colour red. could have met it with my July page with my little baseball guys. Today’s prompt deals with the colour orange. I could totally do that using the tiger lily pic’s Dh has been sending me from the edge of our pasture. When I was a child these flowers were EVERYWHERE in July. But cultivation and herbicides have taken their toll. And now they are very rare. Glad dh thought of me when he saw them and snapped a pic on his phone to send to me. I want to use this on my Summer 2020 album.

Yes - neither of them will take the kittens as we are out of their area. Good news is that one has found a home. Bad news, the mama has gone missing. She has been looking very thin and scruffy. Thank you for being willing to help.
