Good morning my wonderful tribe. Today the plan is to spend a decadent amount of time working on my puzzle. There will be some cleanup of that room at mil's, but for me it'll mostly be puzzle time. I am realizing that I can't do what most people do all day and it's time to let go of guilt. So there. Dinner w/be rechauffe Chinese for dh. The boys will be having rechauffe pizza and the cats will enjoy a nice bowl of kitty kibble.
What's on your menu?
How are you feeling cadoodlebug? I hope that your back is better today.
KelleeM, thinking of you today. ((((HUGS)))).
May everyone's day bring smiles, contentment and happy thoughts.

DH is out again tonight with a work crew. They were planning on a biergarten meetup, but our regular afternoon thunderstorms have put paid to that idea. As I am alone once more, and have leftover pasta from Tuesday, I am going to heat that up for dinner.
I am spitting mad right now. I ordered some wool on the weekend, and got delivery tracking for today. Pretty much right on the predicted time, our doorbell rang and DH answered it. He buzzed in the driver, and half an hour later, I got a 'your package has been delivered' email. Unfortunately, that is not the case. The driver didn't come to our apartment, and it is not in our mailbox. The delivery notification says our surname, so it is not like it has been left with a neighbor. I have put in a service request, so I hope to get an answer (and my wool) soon.

I thought my back was getting better but I am going to try to get an appointment tomorrow. I can tell I'm leaning to the left when I walk. Hopefully he's open tomorrow.
Tonight we'll have the chicken divan I was going to make last night. Today will be spent taking it easy.

Hello ladies! scrapmaven don't feel a lick of guilt. When you need to rest, you rest. Now repeat back to me because I'm having a hard time with this today. Lol! No but seriously, I meant to go running this morning but apparently it was PMS day today and I've got some serious cramps going on. So Jeremy was like just run tomorrow if you don't feel well. And I keep thinking that maybe as this day goes on I'll feel better and I can get out there later. But damn if I don't want to hide in my pillow today. cadoodlebug I'm sorry your back is still out of whack today. sueg that would disappoint me too! Good vibes you get your hands on your yarn soon. Tonight I'm thinking that sausage pepper risotto recipe. And once 4:00 hits I'll be on a 4 day weekend. I have decided against going to Ohio this weekend. I am staying home. DD is off and I've asked her to come over. We had a good phone call this morning. I'm optimistic. Jeremy will go after work tomorrow. So I'll be on my own this weekend. I'm planning to relax.

scrapmaven enjoy that puzzle! sueg that would frustrate me to no end. Hope you’re able to track it down. Is there a management office he might have left it at? cadoodlebug sorry there’s still discomfort. I didn’t go to bed till close to 4am. And tree trimmers from the electric company knocked on my door at 10am. Hoping this 2nd cup of coffee gets me through the day. Tonight is pan fried panko’d Eggplant caprese stacks with fresh buffalo mozzarella, basil from my garden and Roma tomatoes. I finish it off with a balsamic glaze drizzle. 😋

sueg that would frustrate me to no end. Hope you’re able to track it down. Is there a management office he might have left it at? No management office, and if there was, he shouldn't have said it was delivered to me. Same if he left it with a neighbor, which is what usually happens when someone is not at home. It annoys me most as I actually answered the doorbell over the intercom, so he knew we were in. I did get a prompt response to my service ticket, saying they would look into it, but it might take a couple of days. Hopefully, I will get some response tomorrow - either the packet being brought to me, or a notification that it is at a pick-up depot.

Lots of rechauffe here. DS will have leftover steak mushrooms and wedge fries. DH and I will have sausages with leftover pasta salad and garden salad and leftover strawberry shortcake for all. I am off today so I did groceries and then went to Best Buy and picked up a new iPad and tv for the bedroom. I knew exactly what I wanted and spent longer in line than in the store. Now I'm setting up the iPad and when DH wakes up Im moving the 32 inch tv into my craft room to replace the 19inch one I have had for 15 years scrapmaven. No guilt allowed. cadoodlebug hope your back feels better soon KelleeM hope you are doing ok jeremysgirl a whole weekend to yourself ENJOY

Good morning Tribe! Tonight I will be dining alone as father will be at Men’s Night with the guys. My dinner could be anything. There is leftover steak in the fridge so I could have that. Maybe noodles and vegetables. I also will have the car so I could get a burrito.
I haven’t been sleeping at all lately. I quit taking this one drug because the psych asked me to and no sleep. I am frustrated. Maybe it takes a while to get off it? GP and psych will both be pleased though.

After sleeping most of yesterday, I felt almost human today. Still didn’t make dinner, though, since the coating on the microcement still felt a bit sticky. So, dinner out it was. We invited DS, but he woke up with a cold, so he had to stay home. DD is still at camp, but we will pick her and the horses up tomorrow, so that probably means I’m off dinner duty tomorrow as well.

I have no idea about dinner and I honestly don't care what they eat. scrapmaven, I know what you mean about the guilt. It's difficult when the reality of life and circumstances get in our way of doing what we want or feel we must do. Enjoy working on your puzzle and push any guilt out of your mind.

Had a busy day yesterday with grocery pick up for mom. We still wipe everything off for her before putting away and did several chores for her while there. I've been hit with a wave of tax return requests so started working on those. Deadline is July 15th, so still have a bit of time. We stopped for a salad at Carl Jrs on the way home from mom's. It is nice to be able to get a fresh salad then having to try and make one from the fresh veggies in the fridge that we bought about 2 weeks ago, which is what we have been trying to keep as our shopping schedule. Sine I'm still working on taxes, I won't feel like making anything fancy, so probably quick and easy; pulled pork tacos made from the pre-made pulled pork you can get at Costco and I'm sure other places now as it has become pretty popular. Heat in microwave and its done. I have only gotten one glob of fat in any of them that I have used over the past year or more, so quality is great.
Hugs and prayers for all.

Just got home from taking my friend to the grocery store ... she doesn't have a car and needed quite a few things because her fridge died while she was away visiting family and she lost a lot of food ... thankfully I was able to store all of her frozen food at my house until she came back to a new fridge (the landlords replaced it while she was gone) ... Ex is coming over in a couple of hours to mow the lawn ... yay. I really do appreciate that he does it but I'm not crazy about seeing him so often I'm not sure what dinner will be tonight ... possibly grilled steak and shrimp with some sort of veggie I hope you feel better soon cadoodlebug! No guilt for you scrapmaven!

Hi Everyone! scrapmaven Don’t you dare feel guilty. You do quite a lot. sueg I would also be upset. KelleeM Hugs. I hope that you feel better today. cadoodlebug I hope that your back feels better soon. Between yesterday and today, I am extremely frustrated. I went grocery shopping yesterday and people were not wearing masks. It just ticks me off. Because I have been reading about people getting Covid-19 by being around people who aren’t wearing masks. Our numbers are going up since we turned green. But I finally found three packets of yeast which made me so excited! I thought finally! My YDS wanted to make homemade bread today. He started reading a European recipe on his phone. Everything was measured in grams. We don’t measure in grams here. Every time I would ask him to show me the recipe or to try to figure out the conversion of grams to teaspoons, cups or ounces; he refused and yelled. Then he started mixing ingredients without reading the full recipe and now we have goop. He used one packet of yeast, flour, salt, and water. I don’t know how much, because he just kept adding ingredients without measuring, to try to fix it. So he made it worse. So it is runny, sloppy, goop. So I just walked away. He got mad and went to his room. We apologized to each other. But I have no idea what dinner is for tonight. I hope that all of you are having a great day!

I have a headache that wants to just tag along all day today. Boo! I am hoping for take out of some sort tonight for din din. Daughter's golden birthday is this month. The 15th, she will be 15. I am trying to come up with fun ideas to make it special as we can't really do anything special! I decided that she will get 15 presents (not all of them will be fantastic, but I think it will be fun to have 15 gifts!). I think I am good with actual presents and the rest will be money and gift cards. I was thinking the money gifts and gift cards will be in increments of $15. She wants a bouncy house for her party LOL. I should get a nice princess one as she is so far from being princess-y it would be funny. Anyone have any ideas for 15? KelleeM - lots of hugs and love to you.

Thanks! My chiro's office is open MWF but I left a message to call me in the morning so I could go in. Thank goodness I left the message because he's heading out early in the morning and is in today! So in about 30 minutes I'll head over to his office.

Delta Dawn, enjoy your evening to yourself. Hope the sleeping situation improves. I don't sleep well and shift work definitely doesn't help but eventually it evens out. sueg, I hate that you have to wait for your wool. What a hassle! leannec, we are having the same meal. Grilled veggies, shrimp, and steak. Dh is home tonight so I'm putting him to work. 😂 hopefully I have leftovers for work this weekend. We'll see. cadoodlebug, a good chiropractor is worth their weight in gold. Hope you feel better soon. Mine keeps me in tip top shape for the job I do. scrapmaven, I totally understand the guilt. It is hard when people battle physical restrictions. Just remember, you are there with your capabilities and do the best you can do. We all have our strengths and I'm certain, you are using yours, to enhance everyone's lives around you. You do it here, just in type, so I know you are a blessing to your loved ones as well. Help comes in all forms, not just physical.

scrappert, the heat and humidity hurts my head. I hope you can find some relief. The 15 little gifts is a fun idea. My dd's golden birthday is on the 17th. I might have to figure something out like that to make it special. Thanks for the idea! Before covid-19, she would've been in Europe with a ambassadors band trip, so I didn't have to worry about it.

Thanks for your thoughts and posts. I’m doing okay...or as okay as anyone else is during this fiasco we’re calling life these days.
My daughter had a golden birthday (I didn’t know there was a term for it) this week. She turned 30 on the 30th! I don’t know when I got old enough to have a 30 year old! We had a small outdoor party on Sunday.
Dinner...some kind of take out since no one is cooking!

jeremysgirl enjoy your weekend and hoping for a good talk with dd PolarGreen12 that’s my dream meal! destined2bmom sounds like a teenager. I probably would have yelled. scrapmaven no guilt you do so much I’m solo for dinner so who knows. I was up til 2:30 cleaning paint from my 1800s door hinges. They are so pretty. It’s a shame they’ll be folded on themselves. Now I’m dragging. It’s so hot here too. I’d like a salad made by someone else.

Every birthday of a sister in our sisterhood is a golden birthday. Just sayin'... You are all worth your weight in gold, for cryin' out loud. And what in the Sam Hill is golden about a birthday? Now if the mighty dd of scrappert is getting 15 gold bars, then I could see why it's named that for Pete's sake! We are having hamburgers, green salad, and fruit salad. Thanks for the thread. I have sent to you arrows that love to whomp each other. Their mission is to smack you upside the head, scrapmaven , just for thinking that business about guilt. Enjoy the attention. Wait, oh Grandest Poobahlooty. They have no appendages to whomp you. My bad.

Yesterday I ended up having to meet DD to get her new tires so came home with a Costco chicken & a bagged salad for dinner. I was pulling out everything I needed to make chicken salad with the leftovers for lunch when DH popped in on his way back from Los Angeles to the office. After he left, I'm looking everywhere for the egg I knew I'd put on the counter. Couldn't find it and thought maybe DH put it in the fridge for some reason. I get busy chopping chicken, celery, green onions, apples, pickles . . . wait, PICKLES?! Somehow my brain short circuited and thought I was making on a tuna salad. Anyhoo, I don't recommend pickles in your chicken salad. The missing egg? DH confessed he assumed it was hard boiled, smashed it on the island and cleaned it up without saying anything before grabbing a hard boiled egg from the fridge. We are really hoping to get some good sleep this weekend. Costco also had wild Alaska salmon, so I'll grill that for dinner along with a second bagged salad. scrapmaven, I've fallen in love with Bgrammiens puzzles during these COVID times. Our current challenge is Skyscraper Sea. sueg, I hope your package gets dropped at your door by a neighbor.

KelleeM , no matter what is going on we are here for you, always. Happy Birthday to your dd. My nephew is also turning 30 this year and my sister and I have no idea how that happened, since we're still so young. HAHA! destined2bmom , You're a great mom. Don't let yourself go into a dark place. Ods has some issues and he's doing so well now, but it took a lot of support and hard work to get there. Dh is cleaning out the room I discussed and I'm learning so much about his family history. His parents were both interned during WWII and would never discuss it, as is the norm in Japanese culture. Her kimono is breathtakingly beautiful. I'm enjoying seeing so much rich history. Then we found oodles of baby photos of our kids and now we can bring her some fun stuff to look at while she's stuck in granny prison. It's hard to imagine that my babies are in their twenties. KelleeM , I hear ya.
bc2ca , I've seen that puzzle before and have contemplated buying it. I think it's evil and therefore must be done. Let me know how it goes. Pickles go w/everything, imho, but probably not chicken salad.
sueg , any news about your wool? smcast , thank you. I know that nurses see this all the time. It's a common theme. Thanks everyone for the encouragement today.

cadoodlebug, a good chiropractor is worth their weight in gold. Hope you feel better soon. Mine keeps me in tip top shape for the job I do. Boy, don't I know it. I go every 3 weeks and he charges me $45 a visit. This is the first time in over 3 years that I've needed an emergency visit. He worked on me for a good 20-25 minutes, gave me exercises to do and gave me some good tips. And just charged me the regular $45! It feels much better ~ just have to be careful.
