Two Tulsa police officers were shot in the head in Tulsa on Monday during a routine traffic stop. On Tuesday, one of the officers died of his injuries. Today, as the funeral procession was driving down a turnpike in Oklahoma City, there was some sort of accident involving three highway patrol officers on motorcycles who were part of the funeral procession and an SUV who wasn't part of the procession. Three highway patrol officers were seriously injured and taken to the hospital by ambulance. It has been a very rough week in Oklahoma. Three highway patrolman seriously injured

Yes it has. I'm hearing that all three will be OK - praying that it is true.

Yes it has. I'm hearing that all three will be OK - praying that it is true. I sure hope so. I haven’t seen any recent updates, but my cousin, who is married to a trooper shared a post on FB by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol which said all three have “serious injuries.” I guess that could mean almost anything.

Absolutely horrific. I am heartbroken for these families. Traffic stops and domestic calls have always been one of the most dangerous calls for our LEOs. I was just asking my LEO daughter on the phone right now if she heard about this. She had, and she said there were officers shot in Kansas City last night too. Always, always praying for our LEOs.

That's horrible. I'm grateful that 2 of them have already been able to be released, but it's still awful.

That’s terrible. One of my best friends husband is an officer in Georgia. She’s worried sick about him with everything going on.

We’re we’re stopped at a street light for over 45 minutes today as Officer Johnson’s funeral procession went by. I was amazed at how community outpouring of support. So many people lining the streets from the service at Victory church to the cemetery over 10 miles away. /?d=n http://instagram.com/p/CCcKzXcjWzV

Thank you PolarGreen12 for posting that photo. How awesome! I still ache for his family! I am thankful for the increased support we are seeing at least locally and in my daughter's town. I pray it continues that way. Officers need our support. Prayers continue for his family and all of the LEO families that have lost a loved LEO lately.
