Watching it tonight! I’m excited. I’m a bit of a Hamilton virgin. I know the players and some of the music, but I’ve never seen it all the way through. As I said to someone else the other day, I'm so jealous of the "virgins". It's such a wonderful, exciting production and to see it for the first time is just incredibly special. Enjoy! Come back and tell us what you think!!!

I’m going to watch it nonstop. I saw what you did there 😜. I wonder if anyone would notice if it’s playing on my work computer .

I’m saving it for tonight. Older ds woke up at 3 am to watch it, so it has been viewed in the house already even though I’m waiting. It is what I need to carry me through while waiting for the Kennedy Center to reschedule our canceled show.

We are! My dh and I usually have pizza on Saturday night, and since dd has been home she has it also. So dh got it in his head that we were going to grill tonight and then have pizza and popcorn (movie food, lol) tomorrow with "Hamilton". Well dd said "MOM! WE CAN'T WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW!!!" Lololol. So we swapped nights for the pizza.

In March when our tickets for an April show of Jesus Christ Superstar were cancelled, I used the credit to help cover the cost of Hamilton tickets. I purchased tickets for the 3rd week of September, hoping that it was far enough in the future that it might actually happen. Now I doubt that the Kennedy Center will reopen this year. You are right - Hamilton and the 4th of July IS magical! Disney was smart in choosing the release date.

We watched it at midnigt and are watching again. I’m guessing we’ll have it in the background non-stop for a while. My kids are obsessed (and so are we).

I cannot freakin wait. If anyone in my house interrupts me or makes a peep, I'm locking them outside until I'm finished.

Watching right now. I wish I could see it in the theatre, but it is great. The talent level is unreal!

I'm trying but it's not my cup of tea, exactly as I expected. I really hate plays and musicals. I hate the stagey mannerisms and the dancing and over the top everything. There's just leaping and twirling and I can't. Party pooper, I know, sorry! I am SO with you on everything you said—but if I can tune in sitting in comfy clothes on my own couch without having to pay $600+ for a ticket, crammed into tiny Broadway theater seats, and I can get up to pee when I want and not stand in some crazy-ass long ladies room line, AND turn it off if I want, I may check it out just to see what all the fuss is about. I thought "all these people can't be wrong" but it turns out they are. Lol. I quit watching about the time Hamilton gets married and there are some sisters and then...stuff... Blah blah blah. I mildly enjoyed King George's song but I really don't anticipate the need to ever watch the rest. I truly don't get the hype.

DH took half the day off, we picked up an order of crap for lunch/snacks/dinner from the grocery store last night (huge treat for us), and our living room is decked out with blankets and pillows and ready to go. We even moved the kitchen table directly behind the couch and have a cooler with our drinks ready so we don’t have to get up to grab something to eat or drink. In other words, we will be watching it multiple times today while singing out loud!. I thought I was excited...then 2 nights ago when I went to bed I noticed DH had his Hamilton shirt laid out on the bathroom counter in preparation for today I love this!!

I'm ignoring the haters @zee LOL...
I posted on FB at intermission I stood outside my bathroom door for 15 minutes and then charged myself $30 for a Hamiltini!!!
I thought it was incredibly well done. I'm sorry for everyone who had tickets that were cancelled. I can see myself watching this over and over.. until I cancel Disney + August 2nd! LOL

I watched it this morning. One of my jobs for the day was to paint my nails and I felt like I could manage to not screw them up if I knew I'd be sitting in front of the tv for 2 hours and 40 minutes.
Oh my God. I've listened to the cast recording so many times. I saw it in Mpls. This was so incredibly wonderful to see the actors from the original and so close up. I'm watching it again tonight with my daughter. I loved everything about it. I went in knowing I'd like it. I did not know that I'd feel so emotional watching it. What a gift they gave us at a time when it's hard not to feel down about our country. When I saw it in the theater I left feeling uplifted and optimistic about our country. I had the same feeling today. Rise up!

Apparently, that was his work shirt instead of his scrub top. You know, for Hamilton Day. He changed into a different Hamilton shirt when he got home. He is such a dork. He’s my dork

We’ve been in the room where it happens with the original Chicago cast and I may or may not have cried. Miguel is AMAZING and I hope he gets to go to broadway as was planned before the shutdown.
I may or may not cry tonight with the OBC. I may or may not have cried when it was announced!

I watched it before I started to work this morning. I absolutely loved it. I saw the stage version in Fort Myers in January and it was good but the sound wasn't clear as it could have been and we were not close enough to see facial expressions. This was so.much.better. It was everything I had hoped it would be. I downloaded it to my tablet so I can keep it and play it as long as that works. So worth the wait!

I found having the subtitles on helped me understand a lot more of the movie. Loved it so very much and I admit to crying during the last part of the movie. The emotions of Alexander and Eliza were so intense and hit me hard. Lin-Manuel is just so brilliant and multi-talented!

I tried so hard to get tickets when it was in town last year and struck out for the 2 weeks of performances. We just saw it and it was fantastic! It makes me want to see it live now more than ever!
