I was going to do an apple pear tart but I bought a big apple pie instead. Usually I like to do white cake and decorate it with blue berries and strawberries like a flag. But I don't feel like heating up the oven.
Of course also got a nice watermelon!

DH was going to make homemade ice cream, but when I was at Aldis I bought their red, white, and blue cheesecake. It is plain slices and others topped with raspberries or blueberries.

My oldest dd is making a lemon icebox pie. My other dd make sugar cookies with red, white and blue icing. They are now fighting over having two desserts... teenagers  |

I went grocery shopping yesterday and really wanted a holiday theme dessert, but all the baked goods were covered with red and blue frosting and I just can't stand to eat that. I was hoping for white frosting with sprinkles or something like that. Oh well. I bought a pan of take and bake cinnamon rolls instead.

Probably root beer floats since we picked up a gallon of freshly made A&W from an old-fashioned A&W restaurant. ..so good!

We're having some sort of a cake. My granddaughter's birthday is Sunday and she requested a mint chocolate trifle for Sunday. So, not sure what cake will be tomorrow!!

We got a watermelon to have watermelon margaritas this week, so we have a lot of watermelon left. Best watermelon I’ve had on a long time.

My husband brought home a watermelon, a papaya and a mango.
I am not a fan of papaya and mango.
I'll be having watermelon.
And maybe pie.

S’mores trifle. We can’t get together yet so 3 of us are making 3 pans of whatever we make today and exchanging them. I need to go make the trifle (and pasta salad and smoked burgers) so I can deliver at noon.

I made a blueberry pie, mostly because I recently saw how many blueberries I still have in my freezer from last summer. Blueberry season will be here again in just a few weeks.
For the "anti-fruit as dessert" people, I also made brownies with a peanut butter layer in the middle.

I have raspberries and blueberries in the fridge, so I guess those will be dessert, unless I take something else out of the freezer.
