There have not been any 'rules' here about bagging one way or the other. I've continued to take my reusable bags to ALDI with no issue. I generally let Publix bag into the disposable plastic bags as I'm generally just picking up a few items there that ALDI did not have. I like to keep a few of those disposable bags on hand to reuse for various messy projects so that keeps me supplied. There's one cashier at the neighborhood Walmart market who refuses to bag if you bring in your own bags. There's no rule- it's just her. She's almost dressed in a hazmat suit and keeps her nasty gloves on. Before she told me about not bagging, she jumped on me for trying to put my items on the belt before the last customer completely walked away. I was complying with the rules- in fact I was a few feet back from the 6 ft marker and she only had a couple of his items left to scan. And she wasn't waiting to clean the belt, either. I know the virus is serious, but some people have decided to be the virus police. I'm sure she needs her job, but her attitude needs an adjustment. Asking nicely goes a long way. It's not that I mind bagging my own, but it's not a store policy. I avoid her line now, even if I have to wait. Sorry for the hijack.
