And tired of being attacked. This used to be a fun place to hang out, but these past few months not so much. So my country has different rules than yours? Why attack me for following them? (And btw, our Numbers are a whole lot better than yours, so obviously we are doing something right).
I might return if and when this whole covid thing is over...or maybe not. Have fun attacking each other. And to my friends on the dinner thread: I will miss you.

I have no idea what you’re referring to because these days I try to stick to the Animal Crossing threads or the scrapbooking board for this very reason. Too many people either don’t read or read too much into things these days.

Many people are very touchy lately. I get wanting to take a break. I think you yourself haven't been innocent in the exchanges here so maybe a little break would help you feel better about it. Come back when you start to miss us 🤪

I’m sorry The feel and tone of the board has changed for many peas and it’s like losing a good friend I’m saddened by the anger and ugliness that too many are showing to others. Sending you because you really will be missed

Oh, for dear's sake, please don't leave. I get what you are saying. It IS ugly here now. Tensions are high, people are scared, people just want their lives back and it is making many of them short-tempered.
But I love reading posts from people in other countries and getting a picture of how things are being done there. Just square your shoulders, determine to rise above the fray and stay if for nothing more than the fluff threads.
Hugs to you.

The world is collectively going through a crisis of mass death and economic collapse. In the states, add a president who’s nuts and politicized racial tensions and you have chaos.
All around me I see bills piling up, marriages falling apart, hunger, depression, businesses closing down permanently, cabin fever, and run-of-the-mill illnesses are killing people from lack of care.
I understand that people are struggling to cope and lashing out. It’s crazy right now. So I definitely understand why you’d want to leave. All that said, I hope you stay and just take a break. You would be missed.
(If you leave with intentions of returning though, consider returning after November 3rd. This election will make even the stable-minded go bananas.)

I'm really sorry. I always love to hear about your country and your culture etc etc and I'll miss you because, like the Brits, you're one of the minority here and it's good to have variety and balance. You're a loss to this board ((hugs)) and I do hope you come back.

I don’t read or participate in all the threads and it really saddens me that something has happened to upset you like this. I DO hope you post here again and join in with things when you feel able. I’m sorry to see you go and you will be missed. I hear what you are saying about feeling attacked, but maybe your way of responding in those threads was a bit harsh too?

I get it. I’ve done it. Many years ago and then for the past year. The good news, for you, is when you return, some of the transgressors will be gone. People who don’t leave a hole. The bad news, for us, is you WILL leave a hole. A gaping one.

I don’t disagree that sometimes people can be very harsh. It’s easy to hide behind a anonymous profile. However, I don’t know who wrote to you “bless you,” which was not nice, but your response was extremely harsh. I don’t believe that English is your first language, and while you’re extremely fluent, you may not understand how some words come across. I know that much of my Swiss family uses vulgarities when they speak and they don’t realize how harsh they sound. Saying “fuck you” directly to anyone is pretty bad.
That said, tone is everything and when you can’t hear it, you (or anyone) can misinterpret words. One thing I like the most is when people say I am saying this gently. So, I am saying this to you, without any anger or criticism intended. Just maybe to give you a little more understanding.
Also, I visited Norway in February and it was magnificent. I was lucky to get in and out just prior to Covid hitting. One of my happiest memories😊

One of my happiest memories😊 OP was absent for a while fairly recently (can't remember if she actually deleted or just laid low) so I imagine this just feels like a continuation (or a re-starting) of what she felt was happening back then which made her take a break. I don't recall that being her general MO in the past.
