We just discovered there are two AirBnB houses in our neighborhood because the renters at one had about 200 people over last night according to a neighbor. He was surprised we didn't notice the cars or hear the police clearing them out. Snoopy me wanted to know how much they charge and stumbled on the second listing, which is behind our across the street neighbors. About a month ago DH & I both commented about how much they were using the pool this year and now we know why. Do you have AirBnBs in your neighborhood?

Only one that I know of. The family used to live in the house, then bought the house next to it (a family home) and kept the smaller original house. She uses it as a pre-school during the school year, so it's only available on the weekends and during school breaks. They do pretty well with it considering it has limited availability and is in the middle of corn fields.
We thought about turning our rental house into an AirBnB, but someone Dh knew desperately needed a place to live, so we ended up renting to her.

Yep. We own two of them and live in this neighborhood.

If there are they would have to be way under the radar since our HOA doesn't allow them.

My town has them. However there was a movement to make them illegal after someone rented a “mansion” to throw a party and there was a mass shooting. It was very sad.

No, but if I were traveling I wouldn't want to stay here. Not close to visitor sites, few restaurants and no stores you would make a special trip to see. We like the neighborhood. It's just not one appealing to visitors.

Lots. I helped a pea find a place to stay a couple of years ago and found that there are dozens in my hood. I’m very urban though so it wasn’t totally unexpected.

It's just not one appealing to visitors. I think that's why I was surprised. I love our neighborhood, but would pick something within walking distance to restaurants and the beach if looking for a vacation rental.
