I love that Jeremy Strong plays it straight. He is the only one not in on the joke. Alan Ruck is pure genius! It took me a season and a half to figure out he was Cameron in Ferris Bueller. LOL! I knew him immediately. Actually, he could be the grown up version of Cameron!

To a post not even a day old. You didn’t do the thing you thought you were doing… And here you are responding as well. So?

And speaking of liberals (or in this case 1 liberal) bullying: You’re desperate aren’t you. Just another “old time republican” trying too hard to make crap stick that just isn’t so…accurate. Republicans have bullying 101 down pat…just look at Congress.

Damn! I had no idea this was an old thread. I saw it pop up and read it not looking at the dates. I was a pea way back when. It was heavily conservative. I was one of the first liberals who dared come out of the closet. I got band-wagoned on a regular basis. Then a few more liberals joined in being more vocal. It was around the Iraq War time. The conservatives messaged each other to come to the board if someone started going against their opinions. They didn't scare me, and I didn't back down. As a result I made friends on the board. Women I have met in person and still consider friends today. That is the huge positive of social networks. I have definitely mellowed as I have gotten older. I will argue and debate. I try and refrain from personal attacks. They really don't help. Yup. The board leaned so conservative that many of us "hid" our true selves until people like you and others paved the way for us. I've been here for a long long time and back then I sure felt that I was the only Jewish, bleeding heart liberal pea on the board. Exactly. I was called names on the old board by conservatives and directions to my house posted (it wasn’t my house though…some other person with the same name in another state)

You should never have regrets about that! Since I binge watched 3 seasons of Succession in 2 weeks, I may end up saying "fuck off" because it is ingrained in my brain right now. Oh, that is the most bingeable show ever. I devoured the first two seasons and then had to painfully wait for season 3 week by week. what's it about?

Basically a super wealthy family that owns a media conglomerate and the battle to decide who will run it after the patriarch dies. But there’s a whole really messed up family dynamic going on. They’re all terrible people, but you also get glimpses into why the kids are so terrible because of who raised them. And then the writing and acting are superb, as are the direction and everything else involved. And then parts of it are also hilarious in a low-key way.

Think of it as if Shakespeare wrote about the Murdochs.
The dialogue is incredible; the acting is incredible. Worth the price of HBO.

You don't have to agree for it to be so. I watched it happen. Your gaslighting isn't going to change truth. Nor will your insistence that people have been driven out of Refupeas. It just didn't happen. If people chose to leave, it's on them, no matter how much you wish it were otherwise. Yes, it absolutely did happen. And still does. We've actually seen the posts from several former peas saying why they were leaving a few years back. That's not counting the ones that just quietly left. We've seen the thread S full of posts saying why they don't want to participate anymore. Saying "it just didn't happen" is a flat out lie. Yes, THEY made the choice, but those choices were based on being called a troll, a crazy, telling people don't respond to that person, smear campaigns, hateful dehumanizing, dismissal of sources no matter what, purposefully derailing threads with jello molds and tv shows, all because they have facts that go against Pea narrative, dare correct misinformation that certain Peas don't want corrected, come to different conclusions, have the "wrong point of view" or agree with someone else that has done any of that. OR they have watched that all happen to others.

One pea in particular....Aeroforce...was so vicious. I didn't let them push me out and neither have I ever changed my pea name. I mostly just scroll on by at the nastiness. I don't have time for that shit!

Can we just get back to the discussion about Succession now? I had someone else recommend it to me today. Unfortunately I don’t have HBO:(

Funny. Such hypocrisy from conservatives…
Liberal peas have been called names, made fun of, and have been horribly raked over the coals and bullied by conservative peas because they won’t jump on board with the lies and tales they tell.
Conservative peas have lied, posted tons on false information, attacked liberal peas for their point of view. It’s like they have selective amnesia in remembering that.
We’re still here.
So who are really the snowflakes crying those “so called liberal tears”?
It’s hilarious to watch certain conservative peas try to pretend that it’s all the fault of liberal peas that they CHOSE to leave. On their own. Their own decision. Their own free will.
Their leaving because THEY could not get liberals to bend to their will, their falsehoods, their lies, or the mounds of misinformation that was rampant and continues to this day. Liberals challenged their lies and alternative facts and refused to accept them and it appears that having no leg to stand on wasn’t fun for them any longer.
