I don't post a lot here. Even on my "real" id. But let me tell you I have got to vent somewhere. I am surrounded and I mean surrounded!!!!!! by trump supporters. I am in the hot bed of the south, racism is strong no matter what it is tried to believe otherwise and the drinking of the koolaid in the Trump camp is unbelievable. Our governor granted the county mayors the ability to mandate wearing masks. Our state is one of those that cannot get their shit together and our numbers are growing growing growing. So our little scared shit of a mayor said no, he didnt feel like he could tell people to wear mask. Ok, fine, whatever. But its the BULLSHIT that gets posted on FB after his announcement. I'm quoting one little shit here:" If your mask works so well, then you should not be worried about other people's mask. Just wear yours and carry on. Not everyone is a scared little sheep. " This little fucker lives in my neighborhood and he is the prime example of Trump supporter, racist POS that I have to deal with on a daily, and HE WAS IN THE MILITARY and is now National Guard. I am a little miffed that we just give weapons to any fucker that can do the required number of pushups in basic. Anyway.......I am over it. I am over the whole fng thing and I really really want a turnover in the white house this November but I just don't see from where I am standing how that is going to happen. I know people that I thought were quite intelligent that are hard core supporters and the more this Corona shit goes on the more they support him. It's like they truly believe this is a hoax just to get Trump out. I mean how can you be so stupid?  ? I may get flamed here by God only knows who and that is fine. At least here I can walk away and not engage. |

Until one of them gets sick, they will not understand. I keep trying to tell the trump loving, no mask wearing idiots around here that when they are complaining that schools are shutting down again, or hell the entire state, they can thank themselves.

My DH's side of the family is just like this. I literally had to hide my mother in law because I am sick of her spewing such crap and if you abide by the state imposed rules then you are a libtard, sheeple, stupid, ridiculous....etc. I'm just over it. Her and her DH got into it with my DD a few weeks ago on Facebook and are upset with her. They want HER to apologize to THEM. Um...you went on her page and started mess. We raised her to stand up for herself and her beliefs. My MIL called her ridiculous. I think we will be out of town for the holidays this year.  |

I have family members that believe the opposite that I do. I choose to "hide them for 30 days" so I don't have to look at their posts. At the end of the day, family MUST supersede politics. Even though they may believe different than me, I KNOW that in a time of need, they will be there for me. I'd like to think that this time next year, we will hopefully feel different and be in a better place than where we are.
Non-family members...well..that is a whole 'nother ball of was. You are just going to have to choose the hill you are willing to die on. If it is not today, then just keep swimming!

St. Louis mayor has implemented a mask policy for St. Louis County but St. Charles County is right next to St. Louis County and St. Charles county had not implemented a mask policy. I've already heard of people driving to St. Louis to shop so that they know other people there will have to wear masks and I've already heard of people driving from St. Louis to St. Charles because they don't have to wear a mask there! Just what we need....more non-wearing mask people here!

Our Gov. is the same way - scared of trump so won’t do anything to rock the boat, but wants the cities to put out the mask directives. Meanwhile, our numbers are rising.... I am absolutely horrified that a pandemic response has become a political tool that sacrifices thousands of lives.

My neighbor has decided that he has a starring role on Facebook regarding the Black Lives Matter movement. I have decided that I now hate him. He and his son are both in the military and he thinks that he decides what patriotism should look like. My daughter is also in the military. He now has two American flags secured to his pickup truck. I want so badly to say that sometimes patriotism is quiet acts like paying for the college education of a Navy nurse. I could list several things that he's posted that drive me crazy, but I'm just going to sympathize with the OP. I hate my neighbor too. I unfriended him so that I would be tempted to post anything and I don't have to look at his racist crap.

My husband is being a pissy little bitch lately. He has an appointment tomorrow to see about laser eye surgery. He has to wear a mask. He was at his regular eye doctor TWO WEEKS ago and wore my standard mask. He waits until TODAY to tell me he needs a bigger mask because he was claustrophobic in my regulars size one. He needs a plus size.
Well if I had had a little more notice I could have ordered something off Etsy. There’s NOTGING local. So he’s going to bitch and moan about wearing the regular kind I have.

I’m in a generally liberal town in generally liberal California, and I was shocked to learn how many Trump humpers there actually are in my town. Not just Trump voters, but complete crazies. I discovered them on our NextDoor. They too like to talk about how the mask wearers are sheep cowering in fear at home. Boy, do they know how to set me off.  You have my sympathies. Masks? I saw my neighbor out today wearing a face shield with her mask. I had looked at them. I only go to Physical Therapy twice a week om the senior bus, alone BTW. I do have trouble breathing with the mask on... The therapist met me with a face shield to try, still wearing a mask but looser! It was all ok until he had me lay on my side, when the mask and shield went in totally different directions. We did find that the tied mask does seem to work better for me and the shield is there as an added protection for both of us.

i'm in upstate ny and the comments section of fb up here are full of the libtard, sheeple, hoax, socialist blah blah posts... thankfully i've seen very few people out and about without masks on and everyone i know in person is being super cautious. i've unfriended so many of my texas family and friends that i really don't what kind of BS they are posting... my blood pressure just couldn't take it anymore!

Yesterday my uncle said, "I hate to break it to you, but...." and then proceeded to post the "I'm OSHA certified and masks aren't effective" post that is going around. When I asked him what being OSHA certified has to do with epidemiology, and if he looked at the page of the person who posted this originally, he just said, "I know several people of all ages from daycare age to 80's and they all say this is no big deal and shouldn't be ruining people's lives." I had a lot of negative thoughts about him after that.

I’ve only hidden two people who are acquaintances. One is a real whackadoo and posts every bit of conservative nonsense. She thinks she’s the ultimate authority on all things because she’s very wealthy but she’s really not bright. She also owns an arsenal including at least two AR15s. She got one for her birthday and one for insurance in case “libtard” gun laws made it impossible for her to get another one.
I am done with Nextdoor. Too many trolls. 300+ responses, mostly hateful, to a dr. asking everyone to please wear a mask. DH got mad AT ME because I got fed up and said, “I see you’re all still bickering over the same things. You’ll need to wrap it up because it’s almost time for partisan name calling about the election. Meanwhile, stay safe and don’t feed the trolls.” He said it sounded bitchy. OK, if the shoe fits...
