I'm making my weekly grocery pick-up order and both toilet paper and dish soap are limited quantities and "may be unavailable." Ugh!

Most things are in stock here. Meat, groceries, produce. Toilet paper is plentiful, though my beloved Charmin is more hit & miss. Hand sanitizer— no problem. Most are off-brands. Hand soap, again, most are off-brands with weird scents such as ‘grapefruit-peppermint’. I’ve noticed that there are no Clorox products available, including the two different shower cleaning sprays that I routinely use.

Ugh. I didn't pick up more toilet paper the last time I was at Costco because I figured it would not be out of stock again since so many people seemed to have stockpiled a year's worth of it. They had plenty when I was there, but my cart was getting full and I didn't want to overdo it. Maybe I need to make a run just for dry goods like TP and paper towels. And I guess I could always use more disinfecting wipes.

I hit the jackpot at Costco last time with hand sanitizer and clorox wipes. No hand soap though - but I found a 52 oz refill at Amazon, so that's good.
I have plenty of TP. I had started defensive hoarding I realized, so stopped buying TP.
I feel like on cleaning and disinfectant supplies I'm OK for another round of "we gotta buy it all".

I noticed that this weekend also! Both target and our local grocery. I thought it might just be because of the holiday weekend. ?

I have a Covid closet in one of our guest rooms. I just buy an extra of something when I see it. My husband keeps trying to use the stuff in there. Men. I tell him we'll break out the TP when there is a vaccine.

If the world comes to an end, I will have clean bathroom sinks, tubs and sparkly clean kitchen sink...

Our out of stock paper goods are different every week. This week TP is stocked but no paper towels or napkins. Last week it was the opposite. It’s almost like companies are rotating production.
Clorox wipes and disengaging sprays/cleaners are hit or miss. I went to Target last week one day and they had it all. Wipes, spray, bleach etc. I went back the next day to get some for my aunt, who said she hasn’t been able to find it, and the shelves were already empty. 🤷🏻♀️

Mind blown that there even is such a thing. I agree. That is a big bag. I just use it for cooking and keeping my fridge smelling April fresh. I only have about a 4-8 week supply of extra stuff.

The only thing I haven't seen are disinfecting products. But I doubt they have caught up to demand yet. And, I think people will be hoarding those items for a long time still. So, if I ever see it in a store (twice now since March) I buy whatever I can. There is always a limit.
I ran out of flour last week so I was picking some up. There was a sign posted saying only 2 bags per customer, even though they had full shelves of it, I think they are anticipating another run on flour, because the sign hadn't always been there.

When we were at Costco last week, there were very subtle signs that people were starting to stock up again. Not in that panicky way but in that "I should probably pick some up before things get scarce" kind of way.

We have yet to have hand sanitizer, cleaning wipes or sprays. The cleaning aisles are empty. Even going first thing, they just aren’t getting any stock.

Our Costco had hand sanitizer in gallon sized jugs, and I thought to myself, “That would be enough for a lifetime in our house!”

Yep, the second wave of COVID has hit my state, and the things that were in short supply last time are again - toilet paper, hand soap, sugar, flour, pasta. Somebody told me last night that a couple of supermarkets near us have had to close (major chain supermarkets) due to being unable to get restocked. And then I heard this morning on the radio that a lot of supermarkets are running out of fruit and veg. Meat will be next.

I have seen hand sanitizer everywhere, but cannot find Clorox spray cleaner anywhere. Haven't checked TP but maybe I should. The weirdest thing is pasta. We've never not had a shortage of pasta.

Someone mentioned this on a thread last week - canned pumpkin. I went to the grocery store the next day and they only had the smaller cans available (it was completely empty where the large cans should be) but I bought enough small cans to make several batches of pumpkin bread this Fall. I’ve checked again twice while stopping at the store and even the small cans are gone now. If you like to do Fall baking, grab it if you see it. It’s got a long shelf life.

I don’t think Sam’s club snd Costco have ever really gotten to the point of having TP back in stock. It is hit or miss and mostly miss here from the sound of it. I would really like to be able to grab a few packs from Sam’s and just know we have it. Paper towels are also out of stock and disinfecting wipes are a major unicorn.
The way people were stocking up you would think people would no longer being buying this stuff since most have to have a years stockpile. I don’t get it.
Still haven’t seen bread flour except if you buy from a local bakery but I don’t want 25 pounds or more.
I am stocked up on regular flour, rice, pasta and even have yeast.

I still haven't found Lysol wipes or spray, but my daughter in law, best human on the planet, found some at the Costco near her and hooked me up.

I bought it and the 2 pack of white vinegar and my kids are having a blast making water bottle rockets with them. Toilet paper seems to be in stock here. Rubbing alcohol is still next to impossible to find and I haven't seen cleaning wipes in stores, but my Amazon subscribe and save ones are back. But my baby wipes (1 child left in diapers) is out again, thankfully I have enough to last at least another month..

I’ve been stocking up on both household items and non-perishable food stuff this summer, but I’m going to head out again tomorrow and do a big shop. Our Costco was out of TP last time I was there, and they’ve always been low on cleaning items.
Our numbers here in WA had been doing pretty well up until this last week, but we hit over 1000 new cases today so I can see some panic buying start up again in the near future 😐.

I'm starting to notice the alleged pork shortage, in that my preferred brand of deli ham hasn't been in stock for weeks. (Although SO tells me that the producers apparently have no difficulty meeting the demand for exports...) TP is in stock, but the only paper towels I can find are those damn select a size sheets. Hate them. No lysol wipes or spray, but hand sanitizer has reappeared. And I should never doubt elaine; this was the first week that I couldn't get caffeine free diet coke.

I confess I bought an extra pack of TP at Costco because we have a lot of elderly neighbors. Turns out they were way ahead of me and didn't need it. Now I'm the @$$hole hoarding TP. One lady, sweetest lady ever, said she has 10 bathrooms so had lots of extra but she has a bidet so she doesn't even need it. Wait, what? 10 bathrooms?

I’ve been able to find Lysol wipes and spray, but still no yeast or good hand sanitizer. Target has been out of stock of the hand soap I like so I’ll probably need to switch brands.

TP, paper towels and hand sanitizers are easy to find here, even my SO’s beloved Charmin. Hand wipes are slowly coming back, got a tub of Clorox Wipes at Target the other day. Still limited to one per person. And I don’t see people in the stores running to put these items into their carts.
I haven’t found any food items to be out of stock, except tomato products seem hard to find (sauce, paste).
People here are not technically SIP anymore. You can go out, just certain businesses are closed. So I don’t think people feel like they need to stock up for months again.
