Attached to this tweet is a video of a woman’s view on wearing masks.
Being technically challenged I’m hoping some kind pea will bring it over. If not, I wrote down what she said.
The tweet from Holly Figueroa O’Reilly..
”These people are fucking dangerous.
She's not mad because someone asked her to wear a mask. No, she's mad because someone ELSE is wearing a mask and that is contributing to a "false narrative". She even managed to shoehorn "deep state" in for some reason.”
What the woman in the video said...
Question: Why are you angry if I wear a mask?
Woman’s answer..
”Because you are wearing a mask out of stupidity and you’re further pushing the agenda. And the agenda is the deep state. Which wants to control all of us and have us living in fear and thinking that you are contaminated. It is a false narrative and when you wear a mask, which you can certainly do, you are further pushing the agenda that is condemning all of us. And keep us living in a state of fear”
On another thread I said that when you read what a person writes on a board like this you lose a lot in the translation if you don’t see/hear that person. While this woman isn’t posting on this board, well she kind of is through me, by not watching her while she talks you only get part of the overall impact of her words.
You know the big guy that got in the face of the small woman because she wasn’t wearing a mask on the other thread? It might be somewhat interesting for that guy and this woman to have a conversation about masks.

I agree with lucyg - we are doomed. I am quickly losing faith in humanity and I worry all the time now that one of them will ultimately infect me as a result their carelessness.

No I do not follow her but on Twitter somebody showed how Judge Jeanine Pirro posted two pictures of herself wearing a mask on Instagram and was attacked with people saying it was bullshit propoganda and they are not going to follow her, etc.
I don't feel sorry for her because she lies so much on tv but it just goes to show that people are offended if you wear a mask because it became political thanks to Trump and FOX News.
Here is the Tweet about it

May I just say that with all the new terms and cliches we are learning in this time of carnage, as I’m SMH or thinking of my own response, here comes lucyg with her succinct perfect phrase. Sometimes it even makes me smile.
”We are doomed.”

We are doomed because people are taught that "my opinion is as valid as your evidence". People are taught that the news is dangerous rather than the 4th pillar of a democracy. People are taught that science is dangerous and/or evil.
Ignorance is dangerous - especially in a society where it spreads - like a virus.
Ignorant people do dangerous things - to themselves AND OTHERS.

I just don't understand how ignorant people can be. In Portugal, I have not seen or heard a single person complain about wearing a mask. Everyone wears them, zero problems.

Has anyone seen this one yet? So far I've seen it posted by three people I know.
THERE I SAID IT; "It's just a MASK, you guys. Don't be a jerk. It's for the greater good!” "It's just a VACCINE, you guys. Don't be a jerk. It's for the greater good!” In 4 months, the U.S. transformed into an obedient socialist country. Government dictated what events are acceptable to attend. Violent protests that instill fear are OK but church services, family funerals and patriotic celebrations are dangerous. And you bought it without a fight. Standing in a graduation line is a "safety hazard". Small businesses were forced to close but crowds to support the corporate money machine at WalMart, Lowes and Home Depot are OK. Come on. It's "just a mask" & "safety precautions". How about a little hush money. Here's $2,400 that we stole out of your pay check in the first place. Enjoy. Buy something with it. From a big corporation. Cash is dirty. We can't give change. There's a coin shortage. Use your card. In 4 months, they convinced you to use a traceable card for everything. In less than 4 months, government closed public schools then "restructured" education under the guise of "public safety". In less than 4 months, our government demonstrated how easily people assimilate to "guidelines" that have NO scientific premise whatsoever when you are fearful. In less than 4 months, our government successfully instilled fear in a majority of the population in America that allows them to control every aspect of your life. Including what you eat, where you go, who you see and your toilet paper. And the most dangerous and terrifying part? People are not afraid of the government who removed their freedom. They're afraid of their neighbors, family and friends. And they hate those who won't comply. It's absolutely terrifying to me that so many people don't question "authority". They are willing to surrender their critical thinking skills and independence. They just... gave up without thinking. Without a fight. Do you know what's coming next? "It's just a vaccine. Come on. It's for the greater good". Wait until you're told that you can't enter any store or business without proof of the Covid-19 vaccine. Wait until you can't go to public events or get on a plane without proof of receiving the vaccine. To everyone that doesn't believe this is possible - DO YOU UNDERSTAND that government successfully dictated to people WHEN they were allowed to be outside, where they were allowed to go, and how their children would be educated in less than 4 months? And that a majority of the population followed blindly because they were told to do so. You're kidding yourself if you think this behavior won't be repeated with a vaccine. Or whatever the next step is. "I don't follow politics." "Who cares about that stuff?" "I don't like to think about it." 6 million Jews were exterminated in Germany because 97% of the population cowered to populist control. Nobody wanted to think about it. It's easier to just ignore it. But that couldn't happen here, right? They got you. Without a thought. Without a fight. Just like France. Just like Russia. Just like China. Welcome, comrade. I copied an pasted this. Something to think about.
On the one post, someone actually responded "Wait a minute...are you equating wearing a mask, social distancing, and closing down non-essential businesses, during a global pandemic, to the Holocaust? Really." Waiting for a response to the comment...

The moronic set is 40% of the country - at MOST. It's just that they vote consistently. That's what the rest of us have to do - IN EVERY ELECTION. VOTE! DONATE! CALL! VOLUNTEER! Stop letting the uninformed rule the ballot box.

They're optional in the UK at the moment (except for on public transport) but mandatory is shops from Monday. I haven't seen or heard of any issues with people refusing to wear them on trains etc and I don't expect that to be any different in shops next week. The better the compliance, the better we can keep on top of the bloody virus - it's not rocket science!

Masks became mandatory in shops in Scotland last Friday. I ventured out a couple of days ago, and was amazed to see that in my apathetic, poverty- stricken town, absolutely everyone had a mask on. I was so proud!

Hi-jack - lesley - how have Nicola Sturgeon's leadership and decisions been received over the last few months? She seems to be to have been very cautious and steadfast and it seems to have paid off judging by your recent numbers. Has it gone down well overall?

I was actually speaking to a friend yesterday who refers to Sturgeon as 'Wee Jimmy Crankie' (don’t know if you know of The Krankies?) Jane isn’t a fan of her at all, but she did grudgingly admit that she had been very cautious, and that she didn’t just talk the talk, but walked the walk as well. Unlike many other politicians. There is a concern that by talk of closing the border, she is out of line and way too political. I don’t think she was the one who raised that option, and AFAIK, while she didn’t rule it out, I believe it would be a very last resort, and very much based on public health advice. JMHO.

I am flummoxed but hopeful. This could be the answer to overpopulation My husband who is the nicest guy in the world just said ‘I hope they all die’. And again, I say, people who refuse to wear a mask should face any future surgeries by doctors not wearing masks.
