I have an excellent accountant who gets ours done at the end of February. She’s rewarded with a bottle of scotch and a foot massage from DH. 😉

same. LOL. I always swear I'm going to keep up with the books so at the end of the year it's easy. Then in mid december dh wants to know what we made/sold so far so he knows what to prepay. oops. I am glad it's not just me! I always have the best intentions! LOL

I filed mine two weeks ago and I still haven't received my refund. I take that back. I just checked the bank and my refund came this morning. Yay!

I prepare taxes for a living. This has been the summer from hell. I had 16 clients drop off their information yesterday! The funny thing is, most will get refunds. They just want to procrastinate to make my employees lives a nightmare for the next few days.

We had ours done last week. Took a big hit this year as we earned ALOT more than years past, but that for sure won't happen this year.

I finally got my bf to take his in today. He figured he would just extend and thought that would postpone any liability. I had to break the news to him that it doesn't work that way. Luckily, he only possibly owes a small amount but if he can deduct his spousal support that he pays, he may not owe anything (order is from 2018). Mine is from 2019 so it isn't taxable to me. Whew!
I still need to do mine now but I was concerned about his possible liability since it's the first year filing without his house deductions.

We've had ours done since April, but given we pay each year, we will send out checks tomorrow.

DH finished ours this afternoon. We have to pay more than we've ever had to pay. Boo!

I just finished filing! Yay! I'm getting a refund, as usual. I haven't changed my withholding because I usually use the refund to fund something fun every year! I was surprised to learn that I took a hit since my ds turned 17 last year. Since we aren't going on vacation this year, I'm having new flooring put in and the refund will help with that!

I sent our returns electronically towards the end of March. Still haven't received my refund. I owe state and was really needing to use the federal refund to pay for it. I know this was an unusual year but taking this long is ridiculous.

I'm the queen of procrastination when it comes to taxes. I mailed in an extension today.

I put ds' off until the 11th hour. He had a W2 and a 1099 this year. Last year was just 2 W2s and easy peasy on Turbo Tax. I was nervous about the 1099. I tried Turbo Tax but they wanted $$$ to be able to enter mileage and receipts. I tried getting the accountant that did ours to look at them but he was on vacation. So I stressed all day on Wed. I finally found FreeTaxUSA and was able to do it for $15. It was actually fairly easy. But I got it done and submitted at like 10:30pm. Got the email yesterday that his return was accepted.

I did mine last night. For the second year ever, we have to pay. And not a little. DH thinks we need to go back to a tax preparer, but I don’t think it will make much of a difference (we’re just a basic 2 job, one house household). I think we’ll just end up paying a huge prep fee. I love turbo tax, and I think it’s fine. It’s the tax rules that have screwed us. It sounds like you still need to adjust your witholdings to the higher bracketed amount. There is a box for this.

We picked our up on the 15th from the tax prepper and then I did a panic search for our checkbook I use only once a year for writing a tax check. I finally found it and DS ran it up to the post office for us.
We paid in some, not as bad as the past because I adjusted my withdrawals. DH on the other hand, did not adjust his so he underpaid. He is going to adjust his so hopefully next year we are a little closer to breaking even. I don't need a big refund, just don't want to pay in a bunch either. My goal would be to be within $100 either way.
