Good morning and welcome to a brand new week. We begin the week w/a celebration. Wishing jeremysgirl, a very Happy Birthday! You are a kind, supportive, wonderful mother and advocate. We can count on you every day to be authentic and wonderful. Happy Birthday! Today will be a quiet day here, except for some vacuuming. I will work on my puzzle and dinner will be grilled chicken sandwiches and tater tots. What's on your menu? Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and enjoyable week. Please take time each day to do one thing that makes you happy.

All the birthday wishes today are overwhelming and man they make me feel loved. Thank you guys.
My mom's boyfriend thought he was pretty funny giving me $45 for 45 years so I went to Joann's this morning and bought some goodies with my money.
I'm in the mood for fish. Jeremy says take out is my choice today so I'm figuring out what I will have. Followed by another slice of cake of course.

Happy Birthday jeremysgirl !!!! 🎂🎉🍸😊💗 I’d post a birthday meme but the board is at its limit. ☹️ I have a carpenter coming today to build/install shelves in my laundry nook. I’ve had those white wire shelves up for years. Last week at about 1am one night they decided to come crashing down spewing crap all over the dining room and kitchen floor. Scared the shit out of me! But I’m so excited to have real wood shelves! I’ve bought new matching containers so I can get everything organized as I put it all back in place. He is also going to build me a cedar mantle for the living room fireplace. It’s a massive stone fireplace, almost 6ft wide and it’s never had a mantle. Always makes me a little sad when I can’t hang stockings on it at Christmas. But this year I will!! So since I’m not sure how late he will be here working I’m planning on delivery tonight.

Happy Happy Birthday jeremysgirl!!! Tonight will be pizza and game night! I don't have to cook or pay. It's a great Monday! We had a great day for daughter's birthday party. Weather was perfect so everyone was outside the whole time, only inside to get their food. She was very happy. I bounced in the bounce house before any guests arrived, just daughter, her cousin and I. It was a bunch of fun! And I didn't hurt my old self!

Happy Birthday jeremysgirlDH was out early this morning and is now all set for surgery Wednesday. They will call him tomorrow sometime to let him know when he has to be at the hospital - at this particular place, they ask for you to arrive 2 hours before your scheduled surgery time, and pretty much take you straight to pre-op. He did remember to ask about visitors - I can visit for 30 minutes a day, between 3-6pm. He had to give them my name as his 'approved visitor', and I am the only visitor he can have. He is only meant to be in until the weekend, so it's not too bad. Dinner here tonight is lamb curry with rice. It smells really good in our kitchen right now!

Happy Birthday jeremysgirl ! Hope you are totally spoiled today.
Going to mom's today to do a few tasks for her. Bought her some pants that hopefully will fit her. She's very difficult to buy for, so crossing fingers. Then we have a grocery pickup.
Dinner tonight will be sauteed sausage, onions, peppers and red potatoes. Easy and quick and yummy.
Wishing everyone a delightful week ahead.

This morning I spent almost 2 hours at school because I'm on the Return-to-School committee. Our district is moving the first day of school from August 6th to the 13th. I will still go back to work August 3rd. In today's meeting we went over all the changes and day-to-day logistics. It will be very different, but it will also be OK. Although our county is offering an online option, so far only 31 of our 475 students are enrolled in the online option. Parents are ready for school to be back! Knowing all the precautions we've put into place, I feel comfortable going back. I'm working out how I'll be serving the students and teachers. Life goes on...
Must vacuum and spot clean the house this afternoon before my 3:00 hair cut.
Dinner for DH will be leftover meatloaf (always better the second day) and corn on the cob.
Warmest birthday wishes to jeremysgirl . I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say the dinner table wouldn't be the same without you!

Busy Monday here. Making calls, setting up appointments, cleaned out the fridge. Next up is reviewing the tax return (TurboTax) and then submitting it, along with too much money for my liking. I also need to work on the baby quilt and shorten DD's MOH dress for her. Went over to her apartment to measure it yesterday, and got to play with the new foster kittens. The rescue names are Alaska and El Capitan, but the previous fosters called them Leo (Black) & Gemini (Tabby). Photo below! I've been working hard at getting more things done on my to-do list and spending less time on social media and news. My daily usage was down 70% on the Mac! My stress levels are down as well. Dinner will be shrimp for me and some tenderloin tips for DH. Will make some couscous and corn on the cob as sides. I’d post a birthday meme but the board is at its limit. I'm using postimages.org for my postings. Using Tapatalk app is another option. Followed by another slice of cake of course. Of course! Did you have it for breakfast as well? Happy Birthday!!! Side note, I choked on a grape this morning and ds had to perform the Heimlich Maneuver on me. Thank God he was home. ❤ That must have been very scary for you! Thank goodness your DS was able to help. He did remember to ask about visitors - I can visit for 30 minutes a day, between 3-6pm. I'm sure that's a relief to both of you. Will be thinking of him this week as he goes through the procedure.

I am meeting my stepmother and her boyfriend for a patio dinner at a restaurant we all like ... but you know what, I’m ready to have some alone time at this point. Also driving my niece to the airport beforehand. *sigh* Maybe tomorrow. Pasta salad for breakfast. Also lunch. Very happy birthday wishes to jeremysgirl. Happy to still have you among us, littlemama. 😊

Arrows launched for our one and only, fabulous and magnificent, jeremysgirl . The entire tribe adores you and respects you and wants your cake WHOOPS and is honored to know you and is just waiting for every tidbit of your life that you want to share and just sayin' that the cake COULD be shared if you bought a frozen thingie to put into the box with a slice of cake for each of us. I mean, look at how wonderful everyone says you are and if you don't share a measly little piece for each of us. That's not too much trouble now, is it? One arrow is permanently sent to littlemama to keep in a closet so that if that grape thing happens again (like it ever will), you will have a sharp broadhead to poke it out of your throat. Be careful not to scrape or puncture or stab or injure the inside of your mouth with the durn thing. And what in the Sam Hill...but I digress. We are not having pasta salad although I noticed on yesterday's thread that lucyg tagged me about that particular meal item, for cryin' out loud. It will be a freezing cold day in the desert of Arizona when we'll eat so many, as scrappintoee indicated, CARBS. Actually, we ate a lot of carbs that day we had all manner of frozen sweet delicious food items. Love those chocolate chocolate ice cream sandwiches. We are having ham, cheese, and avocado sandwiches on carbohydrate bread. Y'all have a nice day. Thanks for the thread. I am going to do something special for today, like scrapmaven advised. It will be to shut up.

Happy Birthday, Jeremysgirl! We are birthday sisters!
Tonight we decided to try something different, I had to get my labs drawn for an upcoming doctor appointment and we did curbside pickup from HEB and got a couple of the fresh "take and bake" meals instead of getting restaurant takeout tonight.
DH wanted shrimp Alfredo with pasta and parmesan crusted green beans. I picked Mediterranean seasoned salmon with mixed vegetables in feta dill butter, and baby potatoes in lemon feta butter. And of course a pretty little strawberry birthday cake.
Between the lab and grocery pickup we stopped by the Lowe's garden center as it had just opened and there were no other customers. I needed some potting soil and bought a few plants while I was there.
So I got plants and cake. I'm happy.

Side note, I choked on a grape this morning and ds had to perform the Heimlich Maneuver on me. So glad he was home. It is hot enough for the AC to kick in before 10, so I plan to hide inside for most of the day. The air quality is bad anyway as there was an explosion on a naval ship yesterday and the smoke has spread through the whole county. There are plenty of bits and pieces in the fridge to call a fend for yourself night. I'll probably put together another seared tuna poke bowl. Happy Birthday, jeremysgirl and tracyarts!

Happy birthday tracyarts! May your cake be as good as mine. I did not eat cake for breakfast. Ha! But I did do something I shouldn't have done. I bought yarn without a plan. Just because it was pretty. I vowed two years ago not to do that anymore but I did it anyway. Lol! Here's what I bought at Joann's this morning.

Hi Everyone! jeremysgirl and tracyarts! littlemama How absolutely frightening! I am so glad that your son was home! PolarGreen12 I hope that your laundry room turns out exactly like you want it. **GypsyGirl** Those kittens are so cute. Is the tabby double pawed? Last night we had a huge thunderstorm and we had 3 inches of rain fall in 2 1/2 hours. Right during dinner time; so no picking vegetables from the garden. So tonight I plan on getting tomatoes, Swiss chard and lettuce. We have some dinner left over from last night. Other than the garden vegetables, I haven’t figured out what the rest of dinner will be yet.

**GypsyGirl** Those kittens are so cute. Is the tabby double pawed? No, it just sort of looks that way in the photo. She is a real snuggler. The closer she can get to your face, the happier she is.
