Another vote for a New England clambake. We just did this the other night for DH's BD. We drove down to the coast a pick up a pot containing 3 lobsters, clams, mussels, sausage, potatoes and corn on the cob. Threw a little water in it and stuck it in the grill and let it steam for a bit. Good stuff. Otherwise a pizza or 5 from Frank Pepe's Apizza with their sublime crust. Their white clam! Heaven.

Well, if you come to Memphis, you would have to have BBQ. This area is know for its abundance of BBQ joints and churches.
BBQ pork (pulled) and ribs, BBQ bologna, smoked sausage with dry rub.
However, if I was cooking for you, we would have a right proper southern Sunday dinner: fried chicken, mashed potatoes, homemade macaroni and cheese, fried okra, corn on the cob, homemade buttermilk biscuits, gravy, and sliced tomatoes.
At this point you need to take a pause to let this settle. Naps are not unheard of.
Dessert would be your choice of Coca-Cola cake (sometimes referred to as Mississippi Mud cake) or banana pudding.
We would be drinking sweet tea, of course.
We usually eat Sunday dinner between 2 and 3 o'clock. Plenty of time to relax and enjoy the day. And if you get peckish before bedtime a second dessert is not frowned on.

In my part of Oregon I would serve a charcuterie board with a variety of our famous cheeses and deli meats from a local sausage company. It would also contain hazelnuts from the many growers in the area. A salad of locally grown tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, peppers and any other fresh veg available at the time. The main would be lovely grass fed beef or chicken with a side of fresh green beans. Dessert would something with blueberries. Probably a blueberry crisp or perhaps a berry salad; strawberries, marionberries, blueberries and raspberries with honey lime dressing. Local valley wines and locally roasted coffee beans for coffee.

I honestly can't think of any regional food where I am. So my menu will be oh yvonne Done to Death Apple Bread, as she is local to me, and a mighty fine selection of craft beers! I have glicked at least 10 times reading these menus. Please don't be offended when I start PMing you guys for an invite. 😁 UK peas, a while back we had a conversation about chip butties. I was mad keen to try one. When we were in England last year, one of the places we stayed was fun by a Scottish woman. I brought up chip butties, and she made me one the next day. It was all kinds of awesome. She made a couple for us when we were leaving to have on the road. ETA: Oh wait, strawberries! I can offer strawberries. Come in late February as the first ones are coming out. They are the best ones.

In my neck of the woods, you're getting beer-battered cheese curds for an appetizer; some local bratwurst (cooked in beer and finished on the grill) for the main, unless you're here on a Friday, in which case it's a fish fry-- I recommend perch; and Racine Danish Kringle plus some Culver's frozen custard for dessert. I second all this!

Schnapps is all over southern Germany and Austria, and pears grow well in these areas.

We stood in a horrendous line at Absolute Bagels last time I was out. They were very good, but not a "45 minute wait in the cold good." And have you had a Montreal bagel? Here in Seattle it would be all about the local seafood. Fresh local oysters to start Local dungeness crab either on a salad or as an entree or a seafood stew or some amazing and barely a day old salmon or if you want to really go local, try Geoduck en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeoduckDessert is a toss up. This time of year a berry something or a stone fruit something would be on trend. Oh, and wine. So many wonderful WA state wines to choose from!

(I am a connoisseur) This may be true if you're talking NYC, but Montréal is also known for its bagels. We have two competing shops (doors from each other) that stay open 24 hours and on Friday and Saturday nights the crowds line up for hot bagels. We're also famous for our delis that serve smoked meat sandwiches (I am not a fan) and, of course, there's always poutine, which I've never tried in my life and don't want to. In winter tourtière and anything maple syrup is always popular.

Here in New Mexico it would be anything with green chile. I would most likely recommend green chile chicken enchiladas, but red chile beef are just as good.
Starter: Salsa, queso or guacamole with chips
Entree: Green chile chicken enchiladas
Dessert: sopapillas with honey

In Washington we are known for our cherries and apples so would probably serve something made with those depending on the season. We also have huckleberries. Those have made their way into just about every kind of food along with wines, craft beers and ciders. I live on the East side of the state so not a lot of fresh fish unless we go fishing in one of our many lakes.

We'd have a Dungeness crab, clams, and mussels feast, gathered, cooked and consumed (on the beach, where it all tastes the absolute best). Raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. Given the right time and location, the berries could be gathered fresh too. Ice cream would be the only thing that would come from the store! I knew exactly where you were from with your perfect area menu!

Burgers and brats on the grill and a nod to DH be having curry sauce to dip them in before the bun. Sauerkraut and all the fixings. Fresh tomato slices and pickles. Cut up red and white radishes and green onions on the side, fresh MN sweet corn, pea and cheese salad, local potato chips. Rhubarb crisp or pie for dessert. And local craft brewery beers and sodas from the largest candy store in MN.

I'm in Norway and we don't get a lot of overseas visitors. The few times we have though (Australian visitors) we have made sure they try whale, elk and desserts with handpicekd cloudberries. I was wondering if your elk were like ours in Canada/North America. After some Googling Norwegian Elg or European Elk are called moose in North America. That's interesting and confusing 😃 We have moose here. We have elk, the wapiti variety. Also 2 kinds of deer, mule and white tail. Lots of driving hazards, especially in the dark winters.

Toasted ravioli and gooey butter cake. It cracks me up that people think Toasted Ravioli is a starter/appetizer. No, a plate of them is dinner! I thought I would love gooey butter cake. I don’t like chocolate, love undercooked or raw batter. But gooey butter cake is just yuck to me. Though I do tell people to try it, because it is unique to St Louis and so many like it. We always do BBQ when people come to visit. St Louis has some really great bbq, and I always enjoy the tweaks each area of the U.S has on BBQ.
