I know what I'm asking for for Christmas!
I hate ipads and iphone for typing - I suck at those tiny built-in keyboards. And the external keyboards I've tried aren't much better.
But this looks awesome! And so fun to have the mechanical touch and sound.
Thought I'd post in case anyone has an old curmudgeon like me on their gift list that this might work for.

I’ve had my eye on that for a while but I think I saw the price early on and relegated it to that space in my mind where cool things that I could never possibly own live. (I couldn’t even ball-park what I think they’re charging for it, I just remember being like, oh well, never mind). It’s such an awesome design though.

I just looked at the price after reading the rest of this thread....sadly I just can't justify, but that is okay. Something to ogle and think about for after the kiddos graduate from college lol.

My bf is in the tech world and has a fancy mechanical typewriter for his computer that he loves. $259 is less than what he paid for his. I'm pretty sure that means I should get one of these too. Sending him the link.  |

The website dropped the price to $259.00 now. This is a cool gadget as I grew up using a typewriter. I got my first one when I was 12.

It's also a folding case so most people think it's a laptop. Even our IT guy at work thought it was a laptop at first. I love my little iPad setup. I know that keyboard would be fun but I think I will stick with mine by Zagg.  |

For transport this is not your keyboard. Oh yes, I knew that. I had "your" keyboard on my wish list last Christmas but took it off because I knew it couldn't go with me. I LOVE that keyboard but it's not practical for me. It truly is awesome though. Enjoy if you get it, and update us on how you like it. |
