This happened in Tenn. I’m in TX. In most of the South, almost everything is open. Water parks, mini golf, arcades, laser tag, paintball, restaurants, gyms. Kids’ sports, cheer gyms, gymnastics gyms. It’s a real weird juxtaposition of everything is open, but leaders are saying we should stay home, while at the same time saying but we aren’t going to shut anything down again. myshelly what city are you in? I'm in Ft Worth and there are several entertainment business that are closed. Among them are trampoline parks, movie theaters, water parks, etc. Our restaurants are open with 50% dine-in capacity. Oh and roller skating is open, ice skating, the paint your own pottery class, iCode, Crayola Experience, the aquariums, the zoos, the Ft. Worth museums, escape rooms...

Altitude (trampoline park), Obstacle Warrior Kids, Free Run, Hawaiian Falls, Main Event, Dave and Busters, Alley Cats, Chuck E Cheese, Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor, Summit Rock Climbing, Strong (kids gym), etc. are all open. The drive in is open and some movie theaters have opened to show old movies. There aren’t any new movies to show, so a lot of theaters aren’t open yet. We don’t go to movies, though, so I don’t really care about that. There was a race at TMS last weekend with 20,000+ fans in attendance. I didn't realize that we live so close together. Hawaiian Falls is closed, Flight Deck trampoline park is closed. Drive ins are open and I have been to Coyote drive in. I only left my car to use the restroom. Thankfully, I don't have teenagers anymore. I can't imagine keeping them safe and occupied through all of this.

I was at the Roanoke location today and it’s definitely open as is The Colony location.

I totally agree- I weep for my FATHER, who had to DIE IN AN ICU UNIT ALONE, without any of his family there. My mother (they were married for 63 years) had to say good-bye to him when the ambulance picked him up, not knowing if she would ever get to see him again, but figuring that she probably would NOT. Forgive my bluntness, but I don't give a shit about people who don't get to go to Disneyland or a Nascar race. I feel horrible for MY MOTHER, who lost her life partner and now has to decide whether she has any reason to go on with her own life. I am so sorry crimsoncat05 . I wish people would realize how this will affect them if their loved ones have a medical crisis. Hospitals don't give a shit if you are part of a digital army, believe it's all a hoax, and Bill Gates is behind it all.
I waiver between having sympathy for people who's plans have changed or saying welcome to my hell you privileged assholes. Vacations? Kids playing sports? Kids playing with friends? Hell, even swimming at the local pool. That is normal for most people and I wish to God they realize how fortunate they are to do the simplest things.
Maybe when their child has a medical emergency and only one parent is allowed to be in the same room as their child they'll realize staying home is an amazing thing. If they are able to do those things on a regular basis they usually have a backyard, a nearby park, a place to go hiking, the ability to go on bike rides, crafts, camping in the backyard, movies they can rent, games they can play... It seems like such an easy life for me, BUT that's not what they are used to and it's okay to be sad too. I don't know.

People who were kept from being with their loved ones sufferIng from COVID19 alone and DYING alone because of an incompetent and amoral administration. Not whiny babies who claim psychological damage from not being able to visit Disney World. Lately I’ve been wondering what happened to the descendants of those who came to this country to make better lives for themselves. What about those who suffered the losses from WWII. WTF happened to that gene pool? Forgive my rant. I hate everything today. I totally agree- I weep for my FATHER, who had to DIE IN AN ICU UNIT ALONE, without any of his family there. People like your mother are exactly the people that get my sympathy. And deserve it. Entitled Americans for sure. I am embarrassed to be American right now.

I’m sorry RedSquirrelUK that sounds so disspiriting and mentally draining. I’m sorry ((hugs)) Thank you sweet pea. I'm feeling more like myself this morning. Yesterday just overwhelmed me. But today is another day and for that I'm thankful. I hope those kids woke up feeling proper remorse for their behaviour.

The things we do normally still aren’t available. I think that a lot of the things you say here are just for attention, but on the chance that you in fact are thinking about suicide, I really implore you to find a counselor to talk with about this. Yes, this situation is adversely affecting the mental health of many (or even most) people, but those who were mentally healthy at the beginning of March are NOT considering suicide right now. Lack of entertainment opportunities outside the home does NOT push healthy people toward suicide.
I work in the mental health field. The people I see really struggling and suffering right now all had things going on that needed to be addressed before this all began. The pandemic is exacerbating their mental health struggles, but it didn't cause them.
You seem unwilling to consider opinions other than your own, but please consider that what you're feeling is not at all a "normal" reaction. Even if you think you're holding it together for your kids and that they're doing fine...they're not. They know that something is not right with you right now. You're harming them, even if you think you're not.

Why would a company return the money to those people who have created a mess in their business? Who is going to pay to clean up the mess? Usually tickets to such entertainment places have a no refund policy, unless rain/weather issues. It was stated that they decided to close because someone through a firecracker into the crowd. If I was not in on the firecracker, then I should have my money refunded because that was not my doings or my fault. To close and not return money because of that reason, to me is very wrong and I would be furious as well, but I sure in heck would not act like that. I would pursue the refund in a more professional manner like contacting management via phone or email and request a refund. The employees should not have to wade through that $#itshow to determine who is playing nicely so they can get their money back. They were probably just trying not to get severely injured. I wouldn't stick around to get my $10 back with all that going on.

Just take emails or phone numbers and then sort it out later. FFS. This isn't rocket science. The kids were ridiculously and dangerously stupid. But the grown-ups didn't exactly act grown-up.

This is ridiculous. But I think it’s happening all over the country because we can’t live like this. People feel like caged animals. It’s causing some severe psychological issues that we will be dealing with for years to come. I’m an adult and I can’t handle it. I’m on the verge of rage and suicide constantly because I’m so incapable of handling the outlook on the current situation. It feels like the whole country is in jail and we’re on the verge of a prison riot. You know who’s going to have severe psychological issues for years to come?People who were kept from being with their loved ones sufferIng from COVID19 alone and DYING alone because of an incompetent and amoral administration. Not whiny babies who claim psychological damage from not being able to visit Disney World. WTF happened to that gene pool? Forgive my rant. I hate everything today. I hear you. I wonder what both of my depression and world war 2 era bubble and squeak cooking grandmothers would have made of all this. I’m glad they’re not around to see it, tbh.

FFS rocket science is most likely easier than herding rioting teens😂

They might want to think about how to handle this next time. Because there is nothing preventing a next time except them learning from their mistakes.

OK, I just want to say that I am erring on the side of myshelly being honest and not being dramatic. As someone who's life has been touched by suicidal thoughts and an actual attempt, I just want to say that it would be very shitty of someone to suggest such a thing and not be in that place mentally.

According to their website, all locations are open daily: hfalls.com/OOPS! My mistake. There is a water park in White Settlement that was originally a Hawaiian Falls, but is now run by the city of White Settlement.
