I tend to buy most of the papers in a collection when there is a collection I like. I also make sure that I have a few embellishments that match.
I always buy either the die cuts or the stickers. Sometimes both if I'm really in love. This is a must. I often buy enamel dots, even though I don't keep them with my collections. I have tons of enamel dots- I like having the color choices. Enamel dots are expensive but I'm addicted to them. I seldom buy washi, because the ones that match collections are $10 or so. I like washi, though, so occasionally I'll splurge. Vicki Boutin and Simple Stories Vintage get me sometimes. I almost never buy the puffy shapes because they are usually so tiny. I don't buy brads- I still have a ton from when they were all the rage so I try to use those up. I never buy frames- I have a ton from kit clubs and I hardly ever use them. I do like charms (often Paige Evans), but again, expensive. I tend to buy bulk charms on Amazon. I love alphabet Thickers and word Thickers. I definitely buy those unless the words are things I'll never use like: dream, shine, inspire... ick.
What embellishments do you buy with your collections?

Maybe my list would be better if I type out what I don't buy. I pretty much buy everything except for super bulky items like some wood veneer, some puffy stickers. I don't buy charms unless I'm making something to hang off an album. I also still have all the brads and eyelets from 20 years ago but I rarely use them. Part of me wants to get rid of the charms and eyelets but it seems like when I get rid of something, it comes back in style. I've stopped buying enamel dots because I'm pretty sure I have every single version out there and I forget to use them.

For a collection I love, I often end up with the papers, the diecuts, the stickers--both the full 12x12 sheets and the smaller cb or puffy sets--and sometimes the enamel dots &/or brads. Lately I have also been collecting the stamps and dies and stencils that go with the kits. Gee, thanks, ep and PhotoPlay and Simple Stories for making these all part of the opportunity to buy, buy, BUY!

I have never bought a collection. I buy bits and pieces. Almost always there are some papers or embellishments that I don't like or would never use.
I tend to buy:
-washi -chipboard -epherma packs -puffy stickers -stickers -letter stickers -enamel dots
And of course the papers I like.

I have learned how to use my dies, stamps, and inks with shrinky dinks. I have a small box with a piece of craft mat in the bottom, and some metal tools to control the curling. I also have a Dremal tool set and and other small hand tools to make and/or alter things. My favorite store is "yard sale". I find so many things to use. I especially like cheap earrings, I don't buy 1 pair for 25¢, I buy the whole box for $2 and get 15 to 20 sets and usually a few added things in the same box. What I don't use I can make a little display card and sell in my garage sale for $1.

I continue to add to my scrapbooking stash. I don't know why, as I have TONNES of scrapbooking supplies, probably enough to open a franchise at this point, but sometimes just can't help myself I rarely buy full collections... as full collections are impossible to come by in Canada. However, I do enjoy 12x12 collection packs (with the 12x12 sticker sheet), 6x6 or 6x8 pads, word stickers, paper embellishments / ephemera, letter stickers, and thickers. I also have a bit of an obsession with buttons, wood veneers, and flair pieces etc... At one point, I was obsessed with washi (please don't ask me how many rolls I own... I'm guessing 300+ rolls, help!) and brads. I also like enamel dots, but with them being super expensive, I have melted perler beads and now have an unlimited supply And of course, it is hard to pass up a good sale. Send help. I need it when it comes to my scrappy supplies

I'm always drawn to stickers, chipboard stickers, and die cut packs. After that I would look at wood veneer and brads. I'm not interested in puffy stickers, washi, charms, or Thickers.

What embellishments I buy? Or use?
Buy? Too many.
Use? I’m still having some difficulty using stickers but apparently I’ve bought plenty of them. I hardly even use lawyer stickers or thickers because I always seem to want a different color so I diecut my own all the time. I stopped buying stickers except what comes in my kit but that will stop this fall.
I’m also having some trouble using premade diecuts/ephemera but I’m getting much better at using them, I’m now being picky when buying these. I want to see a picture of all of them in the pack and I won’t buy unless I’ll use 1/2 the pack or more. I won’t buy if I can’t see a picture of all of them.
I do use ( and buy ) enamel dots so I’ll always pick up enamel dots unless they are weirdly high priced. So I buy enamel dots readily.
Puffy stickers I’ll use if they are generic enough ( hearts butterflies florals ) but I struggle to use them if they are too specific or have phrases on them. I’m being cautious with buying puffy stickers.
Wood veneer or laminate I don’t use and don’t buy. I have a couple from warehouse boxes but that’s it. They are in my donate box right now. Caveat - if I somehow picked up a wooden souvenir that will go in a pocket by itself. I just haven’t warmed up to the wood veneers. I don’t know why. It’s not the acid free thing I really can’t explain a reason why.
Matching card stock is my most used embellishment lol

It's typically a sheet of stickers that are included in a collection pack. I have a really hard time spending a lot on embellishments. I'm more of a flat scrapper anyway. In more recent years, I'm constantly on the look out for word stamps that are versatile. I also love tiny stamps because they work great on journal cards and in a planner. I've been liking printed diecuts but I'm picky. I prefer images over words because they are usually something I would not use on a page.

I love creating in the Shabby Chic style (among other styles). I love prima flowers, ribbons, buttons, ephemera and bling anything!
I also love clean and simple for my masculine pages. There I like to use chipboard, enamel dots, brads and my own dies.
One thing I didn't get into collecting is washi tape. I only have a few rolls that I wanted to try out.

I tend to buy die cut ephemera, chipboard, puffy stickers (especially hearts), word/phrase stickers, charms, and Thickers if the alphas are small or they have a couple of elements I can immediately think of uses for. I also buy cardstock stickers though I rarely use them. I no longer buy enamel dots, acetate ephemera, washi, brads, wood pieces, large alphas, chunky 3D stuff like clips /clothespins, or those gimmicky large plastic pieces that Amy Tan lines seem to include. I never buy the stamps sold with a line - now I pretty much only get stamps with subscriptions. I've finally gotten to the point where I can control my FOMO a bit and differentiate between "that coordinates" and "I could see myself using that".

I do love Thickers though and will usually grab them when I see them for a good price at Tuesday Morning.

I typically get stickers, chipboard, die cuts and tags. I'm about 50/50 on buying any "speciality" type things like epoxy words, leather pieces, etc. I don't usually get brads, sequins, overly bulky charms, paper clips, journaling books, wood or cork.
ETA: No coordinating stamps or dies either!

I usually either just buy paper by the sheet or I'll buy the collection kit which comes with paper, stickers, and sometimes cut-aparts.
I do pick up enamel dots but usually not for a specific collection. Diecuts - only if they seem versatile for my pages.

The only embellishments I've bought a lot of over the past couple of years are Nuvo drops.
Other than that, I've bought stickers to go with a couple of Shimelle collections. And a few packs of floral chipboard from Pink Paislee and Pinkfresh.
The rest of the embellishments I've collected lately are miscellaneous bits and pieces from scrappy tag sales.
ETA, I just remembered that I also bought a few embellishment packs from Doodlebug. I can't seem to resist those.

Stickers (including the Jolee style puffed or 3d type stickers) Frames Thickers Die cuts Pocket type cards(not sure if this is the correct term).....but I don't use them in a pocket. Usually a 12 x 12 sheet that has to be cut or one that are sold individually or as a set, and they are sometimes assorted sizes of cut outs.. Washi tape

In summary: whatever Tuesday Morning has that I like 😊
I usually just buy Thickers and enamel dots without regard to official collection.
The only time I ever buy a collection is at TM when it comes in a pack; otherwise I buy by the sheet at my LSS.
I will buy ephemera and sticker sheets without white outlines if they aren't cutesy or "people-y" (I don't like renderings of people on my pages) and have more interesting words than "dream", "believe" or "bloom".
No brads, stamps, sequins, paper clips, sticker books, wood veneers, washi tape, clothespins or rub ons (I've been burned too many times by those!)

I love a good puffy sticker, especially a puffy heart sticker. I typically will pick up the stickers and chipboard for any papers I buy. Rarely do I buy a full collection. Since I'm hybrid, I do a lot more digital papers but rarely digital embellishments. That's what I add in real life to my pages. I do small thickers but rarely the larger ones. I love tiny word stickers and phrases. I love a good enamel dot but have recently started using the perfect pearls with Ranger Ink Wendy Vecchi's Perfect Stylus Set because it helps me make perfect tiny dots and it's way, way cheaper than enamel dots. I'll grab cute washi if it's on sale at Tuesday Morning but otherwise typically pass.
I've got to stop buying die-cuts. They've gotten huge and because of that, I hardly reach for them but they sure seem to jump in my cart.

If it’s a collection I love, I have to hold myself back from buying everything. I usually get the die cuts and/or stickers at the very least.

I've stopped buying embellishments as I have SO MANY! Back in the day, I would buy complete lines. The most I buy now are sequins, but that's rare.

I usually buy the diecuts (if I think I’ll use more than 1/2 a pack.) and either the chipboard stickers, or cardstock stickers (again, if I would use at least 1/2 the sheet.)
As for enamel dots, I just go by colors, not collections, so I will only biy those at a discount.

I mostly make cards so in addition to papers/a paper pad I usually buy die cuts, but I prefer the packs that are pictures rather than words, since most collections have too many scrapbooker sentiments and not enough card maker sentiments to make them worth my while. I will sometimes buy stickers but usually die cuts are much easier for me to use on cards. Stickers tend to end up in my bullet journal.
I avoid anything bulky, and most small things. I have trouble using itty bitty stickers, puffy things, and I don’t buy/use flair, buttons or brads or wood veneer any more.
When I do scrap it tends to be very simple/unembellished so die cuts and stickers are about all I need.

Not really any. Sometimes I get embelishments in my thrift hauls, but generally I make whatever I need. Unless it's ribbon or a fastener or something, which gets raided from the office supplies cabinet or sewing supplies stash. To me they're just too expensive for what you get. I'd rather spend money on tools or reusable supplies or things that will go further, like paper.

I rarely buy collections or more than a couple of papers from a collection so the embellishments I buy need to be things that work well with the rest of my stash, both in terms of colour and the types of pages I make.
* I tend to buy die cuts more than stickers although I'll buy both if I love them and there are not too many repeated icons/designs from the die cut pack. * I love pre-made word thickers and die floral packs. * I'll sometimes buy the enamel dots but usually it's because it has colours that I'm low/out of, and sometimes the enamel dots might be the only thing I buy from a collection.
I've learnt frames are not really my thing so although I'll find a way to make them work if they come in a die cut pack I wouldn't purposely buy a pack of frames. Same for things like wood buttons and brads. I have to really love the designs on flair to buy them.

All of it, except puffy stickers, washi, and wood veneer. I hate puffy stickers and have more than enough washi and wood veneer.

Full collections with most embellishments. Almost always cardstock stickers, chipboard and ephemera. Sometimes enamel dots. Rarely washi. Never anything resin.
Honestly if I see a pretty paper but no embellishments then I skip it.

It often depends on the collection, but I often get the die-cuts, sticker sheet if I'm not buying the whole collection (since the collections usually have the sticker sheet), chipboard, and puffy stickers if they're not the tiny ones. (Tiny puffy stickers make me think of the old sticker sneeze pages, just not my thing.) If wood veneer, cork, or rub-ons are available, I may pick them up if they have versatile images.
If the enamel dots are colors I don't have, then I'll toss them in, too. Otherwise, I have lots of enamel dots. I don't buy much washi anymore since I have so much and find it hard to use on patterned paper.
Then I supplant my pages with my standard basics: doilies, twine, rhinestones/pearls, and the like.
