I despise wearing a mask and I have found that they are making my migraines worse. But, I wear one anyway.
I am tired of being called a "sheep", being told I need to "Wake Up", being told if I get a vaccine when it is available that they will insert a microchip in me so that they can spy on me (whoever "they" are), etc.
If everyone would just wear a mask this would be over so much faster!!

It isn't very nice of me, but I seriously want these people that refuse to wear the mask to get a really bad case of Covid. Not die, but really bad.
Last night an acquaintance from my time living in another state posted on Facebook approx 80 pics of a get together last weekend. A huge group of people when to a river to float and spend the weekend. There had to be 60-75 people there. I'm guessing 10-12 families with their kids. In one picture, I counted 25 kids. The kids range from elementary to college age. No masks, no social distancing. Huge buffet of food to feed everyone every night.
She also posts religious stuff and videos from "doctors" that says it is all fake.
I feel really bad for thinking this way, but I think someone has to get sick for them to stop this behavior. This is about the 4th trip they have taken this summer, but this is by far the biggest group.

I do the same thing... sit on my hands... I don't even bother to post about politics or Covid... Everytime I reach to respond, I pull back. It's not worth it. I can't tell you the stupidity on my feed. I can tolerate a lot but the name calling and belittling is a bit much for me, on both sides.

I thought God created masks on the 8th day. Oh, well. He sent Jesus with masks to save us, then. Either works.
Mask it or casket.

It is an old, trite saying but none the less true, you can't fix stupid no matter how hard you try. The Rona is sorting everyone out according to IQ. While the stupid people may not perish, we now know without a doubt who they all are.

I live in northern MN. it's pretty much conservative blue collar in the area. Our state just recently went in to a mandatory mask enforcement. You would not believe the meme's, and posts, and complaining on facebook about it. I'm just can't take it. It causes CO2 retention, it lowers your immunity, it infringes on our rights. I won't live in fear, god will take care of me. it goes on and on. Esp on the local chit chat boards. I have posted a few times to some wild claims, but often I just have to sit on my hands. How have you guys dealt with stuff like this?! I'm from northern Iowa in a relative rural area, possibly much like where you live. Around her most people do not know anyone who has had the virus, much less died from it. They feel it isn't a problem they have to worry about. We are still in the graduation party season. I understand that these kids want the party they have been anticipating for years but they are pretty scary now. My husband & I are older. The kids graduating are our friends' grandchildren and neighbors and many are close to us. We were invited to 5 parties that were held during the last month. Three of them had over 300 people attending with just a handful wearing masks and no social distancing. We have no state mandate for that kind of thing due to a Republican cowardly governor. We are not going because I refuse to do it. If left up to my husband, we'd probably be there sucking up all the droplets. I have decided to take care of myself. I know it's kind of selfish but this has made me selfish because it's obvious that most others don't care. One thing I have done is to join a Facebook group that reports what businesses are & are not taking precautions. It's nice to know where to go & where to avoid.

The Walmart in my city had a fire last week. It was arson. The person who did it was masked. It's the mask's fault naturally. Hmmmmmm. Odd. Considering it’s never the guns fault when it’s used to shoot someone.

Republicans. no mask, hoax, not a big deal. democrats mask, more of a big deal, etc.

I'm inclined to believe it has more to do with intelligence. Do you seriously think that someone who refuses to wear a mask and that Covid-19 is a hoax, is a smart person? We will have to agree to disagree.

Well, I personally don't think so, but some of these people have high functioning jobs, and lives. So they have to be fairly smart. Grad'd college. Have their masters, etc. IDK. Ya just can't explain it.

Ya just can't explain it. I can explain it fairly easily, and that’s that there is a big difference between being “book smart” and having common sense. I know plenty of book smart people (and am related to several) who have so little common sense it’s a miracle they have lived as long as they have without a major incident. They’re so busy being the smartest person in the room that they miss what everybody else with an ounce of sense can plainly see and understand.
