I managed to grab the Warm & Cozy kit from Kelly Purkey's clearance sale earlier this summer and I like it so much I'm considering "growing" the kit with some stuff from my stash to make it work for a Yuletide mini. Obviously, those are my best summer intentions. Let's see what happens once the new kits flood the market and something catches my fancy!

Best laid plans, sleepingbooty , best laid plans. I, too, purchased clearance and hope to go without any purchases for DD. This will be my 11th December Daily and I've yet to be able to follow through on those plans. lol...

Me, noticing Christmas sneeks are happening and coming back to the Peas after six months like... (why yes, I do compare myself to Wonder Woman ) I like the orangey/red on the FYC kit! It warms my cold dark heart. I don't know what I'm going to do kit wise for this year. I'm toying with the idea of a 3x8 or 4x6 as we're not going to be doing half as much as we normally would - we will need to "embrace the cosiness of home" (now if that won't be a card in Ali's kit I don't know what will) so much more, which, actually, I'm pretty cool about. But. I *loved* getting the Felicity Jane kit last year and yes, it cost a small fortune, and yes, the postage cost the same almost, and yes, it arrived towards the end of November, but by jolly it felt so special and it managed to make last year's album the craftiest and my most favourite of all my DDs to date. Also, I already have managed to put away the money for a DD kit which I am a) surprised about, and b) feeling quite smug about, actually. Also getting a kit and supplies is as much a part of December Daily as the actual documenting, as is this thread!

Here's some cut apart papers, that have numbers. Quick, cheap, and easy way to number each page.
or maybe something like this, and you add sticker or number stamps
Number Stamps

I’m back to debating if I even need to buy anything this year.
Silver is going to be my metal because I have some great silver thickers to use as the numbers and some silver rub ons and a lot of Christmas stash.

Last year, I used the FYC kit, KP Kit, and my stash. I plan to buy more this year, since I used a decent amount of my stash. Definitely looking at those FYC kits. I’m interested to see what AE has.

With this thread I've been thinking more & more about what I want my pages to be this year.
I'm thinking of killing what's left of my Christmas stash so that the next year I can buy all new. Paper-wise, I have less than half of a 12x12 pad, & half of a 6x6 pad. and the only dedicated Christmas embellishments I have I bought this year, so not too much & not boring.
I'm envisioning lots of layers. Big clusters. Flags & banners.
Since everything will be closed due to pandemic, I need to plan at home "events."
Decorating cookies is a given.
Christmas pajama photoshoot for the younger two (the ones willing to participate)
Gingerbread house.
Decorating the tree.
Christmas movie marathons.

I'm waiting to see what Ali comes up with before I do anything. I will probably end up riding that train, but I want to be sure before I commit. Yeah, I know it's gonna be expensive, but this is one project where I let myself go a little cuckoo.
I do have some really old stuff I need to purge, esp stamps, but I don't have the heart to part with them. It's mostly odds and ends, not enough to do much with, but my little hoarding heart doesn't want to let them go.

I have absolutely no clue what I am going to be doing, but I know I WILL NOT be doing a 4x6 album. While that size was what I needed last year, I found it way more hard to actually *do* the pages at that size. This year, one son will not be home (military) so I need to be pro-active and figure out things I can do to stay busy. I've been loving the 3x8 size, so maybe I will do that. Who knows at this point. LOL
I really also want to just stay with one manufacture this year, instead of piecing it all together myself. I find that when I do that, I over spend. If I had guess, it will come down to what FJ and AE offers. Those are the two I usually go to the most.
Also? That red + white plaid card from KP is what my December dreams looks like. I love it so much! I missed out on that kit though, but in my mind, that simple plaid is everything.

I failed to start last year's album after several of my plans fell through.
With most likely more canceled plans this year I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. I'll be keeping my buying minimal as I have so much from last year.
Might go with a CT 4in album and do a Holiday Favorites album. Things I love about the holidays, but not specifically this year.

I am holding out for Ali's kit. I do like the sneaks from FYC so I am sure I will probably snag up something from Elise too. What I really miss is the Calendar that Marie Lottermoser always offered. I miss her doing an album too, they were always stunning.

I haven't seen anything I love so far, so I'm interested in seeing what Ali comes out with. However, I didn't really like what Ali produced the last few years so I'm not holding my breath. I'm also considering doing something much more simple this year so I won't really need much. Let's see, I might be pleasantly surprised!

Since everything will be closed due to pandemic, I need to plan at home "events." I'm already working on the 31 daily December prompts for this thread and adapting them to these pandemic times for safe, at-home activities and photos. As long as we're all healthy and well, it'll be a nice Yule season even if it's restricted to home life and home things. I'm thinking about hot cocoa tasting event, DIY décor, adopt-a-tradition (even if it's only as a one-off for 2020), modified shopping for presents and groceries, Christmas music dance party, video call Friendmas, airing of 2020 grievances on Festivus, summer in December soirée (to mirror Christmas in July), prepping care parcels for loved ones we won't be seeing, etc.

I usually chose between FJ and AEs kits but the last couple of years AEs kits have been disappointing and I've loved the FJ kits! The only thing is the album component, it adds quite the bit of extra cost and postage to the FJ so I tend to outsource that. I'm thinking that the scrapbook.com 6x8 albums could be a good alternative.

I’m not sure which thread to put this in but due to the gnome content I chose here to put it. Ok so my order from GinaMarie design came early. I got my slim line dies and this adorable guy. The gnome die worked well & fits thru my sidekick. I had no issue assembling him. I’m sure he will grace my planner pages soon & maybe make an appearance in Dec PL The only ‘problem’ I had was figuring out which mitten went on which hand and in my confusion I cut 2 of one and had to re run it thru to cut the other. But that’s also because I was being frugal and using teeny tiny scraps to do the mittens. http://instagram.com/p/CDb7qZGHoqO

I’m thinking I need to do something like my positivity passport. Same format every day. Just add a photo and journaling. I’m going to look through my digital stuff and see what I have.
Did anyone watch krystal indunate’s beer vacation album that she out on YouTube this week?. It was so simple and came out really cute. I’m thinking I should do the same and maybe finish a December daily before November of the following year.

You guys are a bad influence! I haven’t gotten around to buying the winter collection that I liked from last year because I’m not sure what kind of album to make and I’m trying not to shop... but after reading this thread I found myself on my scrapbook.com wishlist... I didn’t put anything in my cart though. I just don’t think I can be bothered making anything.
