What are you looking forward to the most today? I want to play with that sketch in Kristina Sorge's handout. Also the page that Victoria Marie has on her handout looks fun. Maybe I will start pulling out some photos & papers now... It’s moving by so fast today! I will need to re-watch and pause to scrap along with some of the ideas!

I was just thinking this before the break. There is no way I could be scrapping today as I have been taking so many notes, looking at the presenters websites and trying to track the comments on the Zoom! In fact I changed rooms so I could be a bit more comfy on my desktop with space to put the handouts as I have my laptop in my craft room and it isn't working for me! Now I am off to have a bite to eat and then to Patreon to figure out RTS Scrapbooking.

I think it has been well worth the price (especially if you got in on early bird price). The prizes are really nice.

I was able to put together a couple of two-pagers based on the classes today. Started selecting papers for the first one before classes began, and used Victoria Marie's page as a jumping off point. The other one I put together over the afternoon, based on Kristine Sorge's page with all the little bits of pp. They are in the 2Peas Gallery, and I shared them on the August Challenges Sharing Thread

So far I have really enjoyed it except the gal from RTS talks to fast for me. I like her content but hard to follow she is fast. I got one layout done and will try and complete another one tonight. Based it of of one of Khristina’s go to pages. It did not photograph well so I will try again in the sunlight tomorrow. Really looking forward to Shimelle and Vicki.

The stuff I've been able to watch, I've enjoyed. Just a question......has anyone else looked at the prices on CTMH story starter stuff from Stacy? Just getting the "book" is $7.95 with $7.95 shipping. Does that seem like a lot to anyone else?

Break time! Call me crazy or whatever, but this is the first time I have actually seen Shimelle do a presentation. I've heard about her, but have not actually looked in depth at what she does. I do like her style now that I've seen it. Tazhi had such personality and I liked her tips, but I am not one who wants to play "where is the photo" on my page. I did like the idea of the positivity passport and may try it. I am afraid that Traci Reed was a miss for me. I have done digital scrapbooking for special albums. But I think this format was not quite the right format for what Traci presented. She talked fast and if you don't have that software this won't mean much IMO. I am looking forward to Vicki and the wind up party. If I don't win a membership, I'll be joining Scrap Happy because I think it will give me the boost I need to get back to more scrapbooking.

I was on the zoom! We learned that the classes are prerecorded and condensed and we are not really meant to be scrapping along with them to complete a project. The instructors will be on to chat and answer questions while their video class plays. So was that you donating that cool prize today? Items in the shop look really cool.

I had a great weekend. I also wasn't a fan of the digital class. I folded my socks during that one. I will probably become a scrap happy member especially since they gave a discount code. If you weren't able to go, Alice said that there would be a chance for people to buy the recorded classes if they want.

I will be joining. I lost my small scrapbook group about 5 years ago as they lost interest so it will be great to be part of a group again. Thank you to cbscrapper and others who posted this thread!

I had a great weekend! I'm a lifetime member of ScrapHappy and while I've deviated away from scrapping for a while, I always come back and find the group to be a supportive group of "friends"

Whooo Hooo, steakgoddess . Hope to see you in LOAD. justjac is my LOAD hero. She always manages to complete all the pages on time. Me? not so much. I usually get a few pages done on prompt, not always on time. I might get 31 pages done in a month, but not one each day.

Just wanted to add my review of the ScrapSmarter Experience hosted by Scraphappy.org. I really enjoyed the weekend, the format was great for right now. I learned some new things, which after 17 years of scrapping is pretty good. I liked all the classes, some better than others, but I think all brought something. I worked on three layouts during the weekend, also did some organizing and sorting while I was listening, as well as took about 5-7 pages of notes. I learned of a new to me scrapper and shop, Khristine from Redefined Kreative - she has acrylic cut pieces, cut files, stencils, wood veneer pieces - mostly small embellishments for sale in her shop. I enjoyed her layout sketches. I didn't think I would be interested in RTS because I don't use a lot of flowers...but darn if I didn't use some on a layout and cut apart the stickers to make more sections of flowers. Good tip! Even tho I don't do a ton of digi scrapping, the tip Traci Reed gave on creating stamps from other journal cards was awesome to me. I went thru some of my digi elements and did that last night, now I have a bunch of usable icons I could print and cut. They were also very generous with the prize giveaways (I did not win tho!) I am also considering signing up as a member, esp this year since we will most likely be stuck inside a lot. I like the idea of the challenges and themes and all that. There was a lot of great info and tips, even in the chat - I wrote down so many things to reference and research.

Anyone signing up for this again in January?
For those who have done this do you think you can scrap while having this on in the background or would it be too distracting?

I’m actually one of the instructors this time and I am stoked! The classes are partially pre-recorded. The actual teaching. Then there’s a Q and A after. I’ve rewatched a few of my favorites since then and they’ve been in the background. It’s less of a scrap along with me and more of a here’s something cool. Go try it now! It sounds like fun but timing isn’t the best since I already signed up for a photography class for the same time period. Maybe another time if they offer it

I signed up for January. Very excited. I’m thinking I’ll become a member as well....hopefully this will aid in getting me to scrap more next year. If you become a Scrap Happy member, you will get free access to LOAD in February and CalvinBall in March. One or both of those should get you scrappin'.
In August, I found I had to watch each class closely to learn all the tricks and techniques they were teaching. The handouts were great for taking notes and some of them had sketches/plans/peeks on them, as well as a supply list, so I could prep beforehand, and I did do some pages that weekend, just not while the classes were going on.
I have thought about signing up for January, but my scrappy spending has been out of control this last little while, along with my Christmas spending, so thinking I will probably sit this one out. I would definitely sign up for another one, just not maybe right on the heels of Christmas.

A friend and I normally do extended weekend crops and haven't been able to since October 2019. We were snowed out in January 2020, Covid nixed our April and October 2020 plans. So, we both decided to sign up for this.

Just bumping this up to see if anyone else is signed up for this weekend's event? My friend signed us up and I'm starting to get excited. I'll be grabbing some supplies and printing a few pictures today so I can get some scrapping done in the morning before things start. Really looking forward to your class steakgoddess!
