Made my bi-monthly visit to my TM. Just another sad, messy, empty aisle There were a couple Becky Higgins kits marked 8/20, a Bo Bunny butterfly stamp and a WRMK envelope notch tool and that was all. As I headed to the clearance section I was able to peek into the back area and there was nothing back there, totally empty so whatever stock they had was out. I asked the manager on the way out and he said they have been told the shipments should be getting bigger this month. Fingers crossed that true.

Our truck is now coming on Wednesday. Manager said 113 boxes. He called it a light shipment. Said he was told that buyers have orders in, but the warehouses are still waiting. He also said that managers aren't always privy as to what is going on.

People, I hit it right at the right time. They had just unloaded the craft carts at one store and they had 25 packs of Jillibean papers. They probably had five different lines. I got the 2 Cool for School, You Make MISO Happy, and Rainbow Roux. There were a few more, but they weren't speaking to me and I needed to leave some for other people. They had two carts full at the second store, but it was a lot of craft mats and more WRMK tools. They have to be running out of those! They also had yarn and items for other crafts. It was nice to see two full carts though.

950nancy do you know which warehouse your store receives shipments from?

950nancy do you know which warehouse your store receives shipments from? I believe there is only one warehouse now. They closed the one that we used to get our shipments from and now all 470 (or about) stores get their stock from the same warehouse. My guess is any store that gets a decent amount of crafts will get these papers.

I stopped by today and there were quite a few Jane Davenport media items--pens, pastels, palettes of pastels and such. I'm not very well acquainted with her supplies.
Strangely, there were also KI stamps and Basic Grey Sizzlets. Blasts from the past!
Other than that, a few Jillibean and Echo park collection packs, some Halloween DCWV pads and a few Jillibean stamps. The craft section is still spare.
It's the one non-essential place I have shopped as the store is spacious and has one-way aisles. It's easy to avoid other people.

Um, the notices on the door clearly state that Tuesday Morning IS an essential store due to the fact they sell food and pet supplies. Now what you are purchasing might not be.

Yes, I saw a ton of Jane Davenport items today when I stopped by my local TM! That really seemed to be the only new stuff I saw.

Another stop, was hoping to see some Jillibean, but definitely nothing new in the paper area. They must be getting some old new product because I did find a couple things that weren’t there the last visit. I finally found a ticket punch which has been on my list. Picked up a K&Company album, and a jar of Vicki Boutin gesso.

I know one in the Little Rock AR metro is closing. I believe mine is staying open. I think I was last there in early March. Not sure when I will go back. Trying to use up my stash.

My craft aisle had very little new except for paper pads and packs. They had EP Happy Camper, Summer Dreams, Country Kitchen, Soak Up the Sun, Transatlantic Travel, Summer Fun, Beach Days, and Fashionista. They also had the DCWV Happy Halloween, Curiositites, and Ghost Stories. Both of my stores had at least three of each pad and 6+ of the EP parks. I think the buyers are still buying the same amount with fewer stores.

Um, the notices on the door clearly state that Tuesday Morning IS an essential store due to the fact they sell food and pet supplies. Now what you are purchasing might not be. I honestly did not know this! I was hunkered down March-July until my workplace opened, and since I now occasionally have to go into the office, I will drop by once in awhile on my way home. However, when things were starting to look dicey in March, I DID go there to buy some emergency-type food items such as dry soup, jarred sauces, etc. while the grocery stores were going crazy. The food aisle was spare and desolate today. I hope this store survives. It's the last one standing within a fairly short driving distance to me.

Their buyers are back to purchasing, but I guess it takes a few months to get everything back on track. They've also had problems getting people to drive the trucks. Today my store had some shelves half full when they were empty for a few months. If you google list of closing TM stores, you can see if yours is on the chopping block. One of mine closed, but I wasn't surprised. The other two are supposed to be fine.

I stopped by TM for the first time since the pandemic started. It was BARE. The scrapbook aisle was reduced to one smallish display. They had a fair amount of Echo Park, but that was really it.

Trucks arrived at both of my stores today. They both got stamps sets with maybe days of the week, and one got 3 packs of navy Thickers. That was it for both stores. Really sad this week.
ETA: the Thickers were for the Indigo and Ivy paper collection.

I think the stores are all getting asked if they are closing.

I went on Monday this week. Still slim pickings but I can tell things are slowly starting to come in. 3 big shot machines were being put out, some new stamp sets and other misc things. The cashier said the deliveries are much smaller than before and it will take time. I did buy a book binding template machine and some gardening gloves. Want to help support the store and keep it open.

I think the managers are more worried that traffic will take a while to come back, and when your business has filed for Chapter 11, you could be next. One manager said it is very disheartening to see people walk in, barely take a few steps in the door and walk back out. I think the regulars will wait for the business to get back on its feet, but who knows how many new customers they lose every day. This is just one company I really hope makes it through the pandemic.

That is a great price for the machine. If you research it, it is also called the Big Kick (name changes for different stores). A pretty reasonable price for the machine in many stores is $75-$90 on sale. The price increases when you see how many dies and other items come with it (those do add up if you actually use them). So that $50 for a machine (pretty basic with add ons), is a good price.

I stopped by the store closest to me on Saturday only because I was near it. The woman checking out in front of me point-blank asked if the store was closing because the shelves are almost bare. The checkout clerk said they have been told that "they are not closing as of now". Kind of cryptic. I totally think they must be "on the bubble" for closing. I asked when the trucks arrive and she told me on Wednesday with all items on the shelves by Thursday afternoon. She also said that they are mostly just getting items from the weekly ad. Even then, if an item has 3 colors or patterns, they are only getting one. She also said they only get one of each item in the ad and very little new stock of any type. The 3 front display tables were full - one was Fall, one was Halloween the other a mixture of random items. The dates indicated they were new arrivals, but just one of any given item.
I picked up a Carpe Diem Recipe Journal, 3 rolls of unbranded craft vinyl in Christmas colors to play with and a set of Tim Holtz Mini Mason jars - they were just too cute (plus they were pretty inexpensive) to resist. Absolutely nothing new in the craft aisle.

I stopped by this afternoon for the first time in awhile. The craft aisle had been moved and was even more sparse than the last time, even though there were different items. It was disappointing.

I popped in to my TM tonight to get a gift bag and ear buds. Did a quick run thru of rhe scrappy aisle, didn't check the dates on items but it seemed they had some EP collection packs that I didn't see last time.
The most interesting thing though was a big sign on the door that said they weren't closing, and their buyers were busy getting items to send new goodies to the stores (not that exact wording, but that was the gist of it).
I adore TM, when I need items to stage a house it's the first place I search!!

I went there today, I found a couple new things that had the date of 8/20 on them - Brea Reese resist paper pad and Simple Stories say cheese embellishment kit. I also found an item with 9/20 on it - EK success cat pens.

I have only been to the new Beaverton one once, I used to frequent the one on Apple Way, near Jesuit. Did they finally close that one? Before the End Times started I shopped at the super sketchy one by Mall 205. Since I don’t have to commute anymore I haven’t been by there to see if it is open or not. I might check the Beaverton one this weekend when I go to visit my mom, I forget that it exists, I was just by the mall this weekend. That Dollar Tree over by there is HUGE.
