Please share your makes with us
I'm still enjoying my shawl and trying to decide what to spend my birthday Wool Warehouse vouchers on!

Happy August everyone! I promised I wouldn’t start anything new so having finished 3 things this year I started something new last week. I’m half way through it (a waistcoat/vest for me) but I might grit my teeth and finish another WIP before I start the next half. By that time it will be a WIP itself and I can allow myself to work on it. lainey what do you think about this for your vouchers? /?d=n I’m going to wait for a few more details before making a decision but it’s so lovely.

I took a project detour since the little girl I babysit has a birthday coming up. I made her a little tote style diaper bag with matching change pad to go with some doll things we got her. Lol!! Turns out my “design” is very close to the bitty baby one so hopefully I’m on to something that will be functional for play.

I'm waiting for the eighth and final part of the Fruit Garden CAL to be released tomorrow. Amazingly, I'm ready for it, this might be the first CAL I started at the very beginning and have kept pace with, so roll on tomorrow.
The CAL is due to start again in September for those who couldn't get a kit before covid impacted deliveries. There will be a new third colourway option, I'm curious to see it.

wellway I cannot wait to see your finished product! I'm so impressed you've kept up with the CAL. Go you! gillyp that blanket is gorgeous. Are you a member of the Facebook group? Somebody posted a hybrid the other day of her Havana and Indiana in lavender, navy, and white that was so gorgeous I feel like I have to add to make list. The color scheme was wonderful. It's definitely on my to make list at some point. I'm still plugging away at my Beltane Blessings. Yesterday I was nearly all the way around when I caught a mistake. And I don't usually get all twitchy about mistakes but this one was clearly visible to the naked untrained eye so I had to frog. It took me forever to get back to where I was. Ugh. And I've started the Silver Drops poncho too. It's an easy one so a nice distraction from the Beltane Blessings. And it was the perfect use of my birthday yarn I bought without a plan.

jeremysgirl the FB group for this blanket or Stylecraft? I don’t think I’ve found a group for the blanket yet but I am a member of Stylecraft. What you are describing sounds lovely.

gillyp , that blanket is gorgeous- I love the colours of the tequila sunrise queen. Also, tequila. I managed to finish a purse that I had cut out... 7 years ago. My WIP pile is vast and neglected. I have been slowly plugging through. I love the magnolia fabric, and the pop of bees on the inside makes me happy though the purse needs another pressing. Rainy_Day_Woman, that turned out excellent. Did you buy leather to make the straps?

I've just bought this pattern which is available for a few euros from Ravelry or Etsy, or free from the designer's blog but you have to put up with advertisements on the free version. I plan on making it into a waistcoat/vest rather than a wrap. I was thinking I'd start it this year but I've just realised the year is marching on! It still feels like March to me as we were locked down for so long.

I'm thinking of making a few hand sanitizer holders that you can attach to the outside of handbags and backpacks. I came across some videos on YouTube and thought they would be handy especially for school and college kids.
I'm thinking ahead here, a friend is going through a very difficult time and it's not going to be over anytime soon. Christmas will be a hard time for her and I'm looking to make her something like a wrap or a shawl that she can wrap around her, give her some comfort, I hope. Would love some links to really nice crochet patterns that you loved making or would love to receive. Lovely wool recommendations welcome too. TIA.

I loved making the Sunday Shawl, it crocheted up really quickly and makes a big snuggly shawl. I keep meaning to make another.

lainey , I LOVE that. I need to make that one! Is the pattern on Ravelry? Nevermind, I found it there. It was already in my favorite. I bet you shared before, and I forgot. I need to get this in my crochet bag and get going before Fall/Winter is here. Love it!

wellway I didn't think the Bronwyn shawl shown on the pattern looked all that great. But mine came out nice. My mother loves it and wears it constantly. Here are some pics.

I love seeing all your works in progress so I thought I would show you my latest project whilst I wait for glue to dry...yawn, boring. This is a 1 48th miniature base for a log cabin and the first pond I have attempted. It is a real mess at the moment and so is my craft room.
