So Kanye was the GOP back-up plan if/when their candidate implodes before November 3rd?

So Kanye was the GOP back-up plan if/when their candidate implodes before November 3rd? No, to take votes from Biden and he can still do it in states where he remains on the ballot, dependent on how they do their delegates! He WILL NOT be the ballot in New Jersey. It seems that superstar rapper Kanye West’s presidential bid in New Jersey was little more than a beautiful dark twisted fantasy. On Monday night, hours ahead of a scheduled hearing to determine his presidential petition’s validity after an elections lawyer questioned more than 700 signatures, West’s campaign withdrew his petition, according to an email sent to an administrative law judge. In the letter to Judge Gail Cookson, the campaign said it would not be challenging the Secretary of State’s decision. ** www.nj.com/politics/2020/08/kanye-west-presidential-bid-in-nj-all-falls-down-campaign-withdraws-petition.html

Who would be so low as to use a mentally ill person to bolster his re-election chances? Oh wait.........

Do you really think Biden voters would be swayed by Kanye? - honest question. I see Trump voters voting by Kanye. He’s too far out to be appealing to people in the center or leaning just a tiny bit left. What am I missing?

I don't know any Biden voters that would give Kanye a thought, much less a serious thought. If the GOP is behind Kanye, there must be an evil genius plan in place or someone is f-ing with Kanye for sport.

That makes no sense at all to me. Kanye's bipolar disorder is totally out of control (makes it easier to understand some of his actions when you know he truly does have a mental illness). He can't hold it together long enough to even GET to November without imploding. And no, I don't see ANY democrat voting for him. Or anyone with half a brain no matter their party affiliation.

Just what we need. Trade one lunatic for another. It is a smoke screen to add more chaos to this mess.

You know electoral college & all.

It’s a ploy to showcase a mentally unstable person over another idiot.
The GOP can say, here’s the republicans choices, trump or Kayne...which is worse?

I think those morons running the Republican party these days are so shallow, they think they can siphon off enough black voters by running Kanye to push the swing states back to Trump.

Because the office of the presidency is nothing more than a popularity contest to those who will go for it. And whose more famous thannKanye right now and running for President?

For what it's worth, my husband is a member of a fb group made up largely of Black men, the general consensus in that group is that Kanye is attempting to "split the black vote" and help DT get reelected.

It is so disgusting that the GOP lacks so must confidence in their candidate that they have to bring in a 3rd party to SIPHON votes from the leading candidate. how pathetic and unethical. they are saying that although it may not make a major difference across the country, it may make enough of a difference in a crucial state like Wisconsin. i knew politics was dirty but this is a new low.

He’s too far out to be appealing to people in the center or leaning just a tiny bit left. What am I missing? It’s the independents that would be the most likely ones to go for this. Republicans are going to vote for Trump. Dems are going to vote for Biden. Independents go every which way. We desperately need them to vote for Biden. If Kanye is on the ballot anywhere he WILL take some of the votes. Like I said in the other thread, the presidency is just a popularity contest to some people. Of the 3, Kanye is WAY more popular/cool.

It's pretty heartless to back someone who is mentally ill and struggling.

I think this is taking the focus away from what really went wrong last election season. Black people pretty much voted as a monolith because we knew it was a life or death vote for us and no we aren’t clairvoyant so it’s pretty comical that someone would be concerned about Kanye West swaying black voters. It’s insulting but on par for society
