Who was the Pea who's husband wanted his foreskin back and was going to confront his mother about it? Wasn't this bostontwinmom or something like that? She was adopting twins, and was on medication so she would start lactation so she could nurse them. Then she posted questions about toys and books, and she had a huge budget for books, I don't remember the amount, but I do remember it was more than my mortgage payment. I remember her Definitely Boston-something. There was some discussion about what else she needed to buy in preparation and I said that actually babies don't need an awful lot of expensive physical equipment as long as they're warm, fed and loved, they could sleep in a drawer for all they cared. Obviously I didn't mean a closed drawer...it was a throw away line meaning that we tend to buy lots of stuff because it's cute etc but she took it way too literally and asked if I'd made my children sleep in a drawer, that it was cruel etc. There was no reasoning with her I seem to remember, from that point.

Do you all remember the post that used to circulate every now and again about the man looking for the perfect woman? He was a total creeper and his specifications were weird. I can't remember them but I remember that that had popped up several times on the board. Was he the guy that wanted several women to come and live with him and have his children? Funny how the strangest things get stuck in our memories. I remember he said he wanted the back of a woman's thigh to be curved. I also remember he posted the strangest pictures of himself including one where he was posed at a weird angle on a bed maybe? Please tell me someone has a link to that. I wouldn't even know where to start with googling that. Yes! Super creepy photo!!

That was where the tear bears were selling I'm still not sure what a tear bear was. Is it the torn bears you are talking about?

Yes, torn mulberry paper. I even had to make a few of my own just to prove it wasn't a difficult skill that should be worth hundreds of dollars. I never sold scrapbook stuff on eBay, just enjoyed the ridiculous prices some layouts commanded and then recreated a few at my leisure for my own books. Because I could. I often wondered who and why about the prices paid and this board have me a few answers! Back then I used to make mulberry paper Sully from Monsters, Inc and once I got $45 for one. I thought that was completely crazy! I made some cash on those!

Just to be clear, if a Pea’s loved one comes online during their time of grief to let us know a Pea has died, your first reaction is going to be to go out of your way to post links to where the deceased Pea has allegedly been mean to you. Is that correct? Wow! I missed that post! You wouldn’t have. I think we all know that. I especially loved JustTricia “peasplain” of the text you’re discussing but didn’t quote in it’s entirety. I usually pea from a mobile device though I believe my signature reads “I said what I said” no? There is never a need to fish for drama (painfully obvious) and end it with “is that correct”🤣. Listen if it feels “correct” to you, you ALWAYS have my permission to run with that assumption. Never a need to triple quote me or have “dialogue”. Hope that clears everything up.

Still gross and very disrespectful to be discussing the deaths of Peas loved ones. I think so too especially with details that aren’t firm so the pea then has to read how their loved one DID NOT die or correct someone with details. As an FYI and so people can say they were warned....when your people come here posting an obit, I’ll offer my condolences and share what you said to me 😜😏 complete with links.

I watched people bid $200 to $980 on her 2 page layouts. No shit!!! People actually spent that on her pages. While it's not my style and I probably wouldn't pay almost $1000 for a page, BUT I do see these as art and no different to someone doing an oil or watercolour painting that I love and would pay several hundred dollars for. If I saw an artist website that had a painting I liked that I wanted for a specific area on my wall, I would definitely pay $500-600. So if someone wanted to put their child's picture in one of these and frame it for their wall, then I don't think the same amount is ridiculous at all. There is a lot of work and detail in those pieces. I remember going onto ebay and looking at the selling history for some of these sellers... the same buyers would buy layout after layout from these particular sellers. So those ladies had scrapbooks FULL of those super-detailed pages for their kids' photos. I was flabbergasted at the amounts of $$ those buyers spent on those layouts. But then again, I hate spending $5 on one sheet of stickers, lol!! eta: and while I agree that cats are assholes sometimes (one of ours just puked on a leather chair-- why don't they hop down to the tile floor, darn it? lol) thankfully, I don't remember the 'banished to the basement' story.

Didn't she once post that she was pissed because no one threw her a baby shower even though she'd only just started the adoption process?

What didn’t get quoted? Here’s a screenshot on what I see on the TapATalk app. I’m not fishing for drama; I asked if I was correct in how I was interpreting your post because I was really hoping I was reading it incorrectly.

I really don't think there is a difference between our two boards and to say there is one is splitting hairs. Two peas shut down, the next day I came here. It is all the same board with the same history. We are a continuation with the same history, not a separate board. I have no idea what happened there and what happened here. I really thought the French teenagers was beadhound. I must have remembered it incorrectly. There was a pea, I think her name was Silverdolphin, or something like that. She had a 14 year old that was pregnant and was proud of it. She had all kinds of weird opinions. I think there's a huge difference between the two boards. 2Peas' messages boards moved lightening fast; step away for an hour or two and there'd be pages of posts! The old boards were way more entertaining than the new. There were posts there there that had me laughing until I was crying. Cherrymoon's drawing was one of the best, as was the dog that stole little Jesus. And the controversy!! The most innocuous post would become a 20 page feeding frenzy. Spreadsheets were brought out, authorities were contacted, other message boards/websites were visited en masse in attempts to right perceived wrongs. The race was on to be the first to 'out' someone when anything seemed amiss. So much over the top behavior. There is/was no justification for much of the rabid behavior/self righteousness. I was often scratching my head at the Peas that were practically granted sainthood and those that were scorned. That said, there was also much good on the former boards. So many Pea meet-ups and real friendships that developed. Lots of good knowledge, a wide variety of people and people helping virtual strangers. And so much talent. And so very, very many posters...
