I remember these guys from the original board, too. I don't think we've seen them here. Scrapwench was a pharmacist I remember and CarainTX did those Snoopy cutouts for her yard. And, Keriwest's house. Good golly. Keriwest posted on this board briefly within the last few years on one of those "where are they now" type of threads.

Okay, I joined the original 2peas in early 2001? but never posted. But boy, do I remember all these stories! Scrapper Jess (?) who homeschooled and also had a foster child she "nicknamed" Latte due to the colour of his skin? And one day she posted asking for recommendations on backpacks that were bulletproof because she was being forced to send the foster children to a "public" school. And the other foster parent - maybe Sass/Sassafrass? who fostered several children with behaviour issues? I always thought someone rang her husband for some reason and he told them she was dead?? I can remember such random bits and pieces - maybe someone will remember the bits I have forgotten. I remember the Hall of Fame dramas - who was the young male scrapper who caused controversy because his photo was of him on his horse and apparently you had to take the photo yourself? Like the women canoeing who allegedly used a camera in a tree to take her photo?? Corinne Oh lordy, Scrapper Jess. She had a blog link in her signature and I found her blog several years ago. She and her husband had adopted a bunch of kids. They maybe had ten (with their bio kids included?) She was so righteous and her views on homeschooling were the only way. I remember she was super peeved because she had to send foster kids to public school, which to her, was equivalent to sending kids to the gates of hell. Sass was the other one I was trying to remember. She had some questionable parenting issues and did pretend to be dead. But then she was back! What about the pea whose dog died and she put it in the Kirby? Rainbow something? I remember her very well. She did not take any criticism about homeschooling and didn't like that I was homeschooled and was vocal about the issues I had with homeschooling. Like cutting your kids off from the world and only socializing with the few people who wholeheartedly share your religious beliefs wasn't healthy. I also thought it wasn't ok that she called her mixed race child Latte. She told me that it was ok since other people would call the kid that. She got really upset when I pointed out that other people would use offensive slurs, but calling her child those slurs wouldn't be ok either. BuT tHaT's DiFfErEnT

I think remember a really weird story. A Pea talking about being so low on money that she was having trouble with expenses and barely eating, like having to make do with crusts of bread, and having serious medical issues because of it, maybe mini strokes? But her husband was a contractor of some sort and was working on a project at a house and found a big scrapbook tote full of products and tools at the house and brought it home to her. Like it was just randomly there at this empty house he was working on? Am I having a brain glitch or did this actually get posted on the old board? Was it all one Pea? Or am I combining the two stories? Wasn't it that she was having money problems and talked the peas into donating money for food for her kids? Then a pea finds that she was posting on the scrapbooking board about her new layouts, supplies, and the case. So that's when she came up with the story about her husband magically finding a brand new scrapbooking case chock full of scrapbooking supplies. So instead of selling the supplies to make sure she had enough money for food later on, etc. she kept everything and bragged about it where people who gave her money could see it.

I remember FeederLynn aka StingerLynn. I don't remember clearly but someone did some googling and found him on a chubby chaser site. Is that right? Laura Solomon was the one with a bunch of kids but didn't understand what was happening when she was having a prolapse. She didn't know the names of female anatomy such as uterus even after having so many children. He was into paying seriously obese women to gorge themselves on tons of food. It was incredibly vile and abusive while he hung out on 2peas whining about not being able to find a girlfriend. I'm not into kink shaming, but he was encouraging women to get so fat that they'd die really early. It was sick. One of our genius women nicknamed him FeederLynn, and he slunk off. Probably to one or more of the incel/red pill communities

Do you remember the "board war" with Weight Watchers members "Peppermint Fatty" and "Moolissa"? Those names are stuck in my head, but for the life of me, I can't remember the reason for the fuss. I was also thinking about the Pea who made and sold paper piecings that her customers never received. After some sleuthing, it turned out that someone at the post office was stealing them when she mailed them! I think it was over pit bulls. There was a thread about how someone was killed by pit bulls, and Peppermint Fatty threw a fit about the peas being anti pitt bull. She brigaded 2peas with her friends, including the incredibly outspoken Moolissa. A wise pea figured out where they were hanging out at Weight Watchers, so some peas went over there and let people who how PF and Moolissa and her herd were acting.

She was young and righteous. And if I remember correctly, all of her school aged kids were enrolled in public school. Huh. Go figure.

There's TWO table stories. The one you linked, and the 2peasfaithful one. She posted asking for advice about what to do, aka alleviate her conscience for wanting to keep the table. She found her dream table through the classifieds or a yard sale or something. I think the person who sold it to her helped deliver it to her house. The person who asked for it back had her contact info or showed up at her house. Somehow one of close relatives of the owner of the table contacted 2PF and begged for her to give the table back. Their relative, I think a parent or grandparent had died, and another relative sold the table out of spite. The person was heartbroken about losing the table. So 2PF thinks we'll side with her or something. The vast majority of peas were telling her that she should give the table back. The relative was going to pay her back or give her even more money for it. But 2PF really, really, really loved the table. The next day she came back and told everyone that she'd prayed about it, and Jesus wanted her to keep it. Ya know, because that's what Jesus would have done. She got upset that the peas called her out on it. She was very outspoken about her faith, and then she totally did a 180 about a table that meant the world to someone else. I think her thread might have started a S/O about family heirlooms that were lost. That might be how we learned about some of the other furniture stories. I think the reupholstered chair started off on the spin off, but then the pea posted later asking for advice when her MIL threw a fit and wanted the chair back.

Remember peas de resistance? I'm lucky I remember the name but that's as far as I get. I think I remember her hair filp but not why. Anyone remember her? I do. She got busted for PB&J alter. But I don't think she hairflipped after that. She had some really cute kids and had a really cool house if I recall correctly. Side comment: I your hair! It suits you and you are so beautiful! I do remember her house, it was beautiful. And thank you, Sasha, you’re too sweet. 🥰

how about the girl who posed as a military wife and her honey was deployed,,, and then she got cancer and got turned out she was all fake and used a picture of a hooker or something to show people who she was..she was trying to get money out of the peas. She was laying the groundwork for her ruse for quite a while.... and she was totally fake and we all busted her... those were the good ol days lol. Peas have always been great detectives And the woman posing as her ended up being a scrapbook store owner! Somebody went to the owner's store and noticed all these cards displayed as examples of different techniques. The person recognized one of the examples was the cover of a card she'd sent to the girl. The girl said her husband was in Afghanistan or Iraq, and she was going through ovarian cancer. There was a lot of cards used as technique examples throughout the store. The shop owner had been begging for the peas to send cards to this girl who didn't exist so the owner could tear the card fronts off and display them as inspiration and possibly her own work. I think the owner was even using them to get people to come to classes to learn the techniques. There was a confrontation and everything came out. I think the pea who found her card in the shop contacted some other scrappers who'd mailed cards, and a few were local. So they went to investigate and saw even more cards that they knew had been mailed to the imaginary girl. The peas had posted photos of the cards, so it was easy to recognize them. I think the store owner tried to deny it for a while, until someone did an image search and found the photos of the girl had been taken from a soft porn site. Then everything unravelled. I think the store closed a little while later.

It was Merge's parents who were killed by the drunk boat driver, which was just horrible. Prior to Merge, she was MergeLeft. Was she LeftTurnOnly before that? No, but if I remember LeftTurnOnly correctly, her husband tragically died in a car accident when his trailer jackknifed. No that was scrappinspidey. Leftturnonly’s husband did die suddenly but I believe it was a medical issue but I don’t remember what.

A pea from long ago alleged to be suicidal.... the peas got admin of the old board to do a welfare check... she was not happy!!! Im pretty sure thats where the altoona police come from.. A pea passed away who had questionable posting styles... her son came in on her screenname to let us know she had passed and we as a board was her happy place.... and thanks for giving his mom friendship.... *we* were not nice to him... said it was really her and faking her death... Not our finest moment.. Yep, the last comment was me. We had a lot of "alters" at that point that would get busted. I thought for sure Therapea's son was her. I was very wrong. It was terrible. I was also wrong and still feel terrible. Therapea was odd, and I think she'd attacked the pea who was on the waiting list for a liver and was told she couldn't get a transplant. She'd questioned whether she was legitimate or not. I can't remember exactly what. There'd been a bit of drama with her and lots of oddness. Not that it makes it ok in any way. She wasn't a drama free pea who'd been attacked for no reason. There were things that caused a lot of peas to raise an eyebrow or two. One of the first things she posted was about her mother thirsting to death and how she was going to sue the rest home for negligence. A lot of peas tried to explain that her mother had been actively dying, and giving her fluids would have extended her suffering. It was a mess, and Therapea was convinced the rest home had killed her mom and just had these long rants about it. Then her son comes on to announce her death, and we didn't believe him. He was in his early 20s and said he was a coroner. It was a true story that sounded really fake. I really regret my part of it. I now see that Therapea was just dealing with a lot without mental health care, and 2peas was an outlet for her to release some of her frustrations. There had been a lot of peas who'd really been scamming us and got called out, and we unfortunately called out someone who was telling the truth. I can't remember the name of the pea who died because she didn't get the transplant. I still think of her, her husband, and daughter. I was on 2peas the night she got the letter notifying her that she wasn't a candidate for a transplant. She thought her doctor would tell her, and she was alone opening mail and found out. I do remember that she lived near the beach (San Diego?) and spent a lot of time hanging out on the beach with her family. Which isn't a bad way to spend your last days. Her daughter was still really young.

Do you all remember the post that used to circulate every now and again about the man looking for the perfect woman? He was a total creeper and his specifications were weird. I can't remember them but I remember that that had popped up several times on the board. Was he the guy that wanted several women to come and live with him and have his children? Funny how the strangest things get stuck in our memories. I remember he said he wanted the back of a woman's thigh to be curved. I also remember he posted the strangest pictures of himself including one where he was posed at a weird angle on a bed maybe? Please tell me someone has a link to that. I wouldn't even know where to start with googling that.

Maybe the husband was putting the garbage in that empty house and had been for a while, then miraculously discovered the rolling case of supplies in house he'd been going through all the time for months. As soon as someone called her out, she had to ridiculous story about how her husband found everything in an empty trash filled house.
I do remember that the girl who got two transplants and went to Disney also showed off photos of her husband's expensive new(er) car. I think it was a red Mini Cooper convertible.

This all followed people that were pretty much scamming, including the LSS owner that pretended to have ovarian cancer (good recall on how it was sleuthed, M!). I shouldn't have questioned it, and let it go, but I didn't. I think it was Compwalla that either found the obit or rightfully went off on me about it once it was discovered not to be faked death. Anyway, I don't mean this to be an excuse for my jumping on it, but it wasn't out of left field either.

On the old board, I remember the emotion and confusion of 9/11 and how a pea posted that her military pilot husband had been ordered to shoot down civilian aircraft if circumstances dictated. It was very surreal.
Later in the day, I thought, did she say he had received the orders or did he actually have to carry them out? When I went back to check the thread, the post was gone. I was afraid to mention it ever again in case men in black showed up at my door.

Can anyone refresh my memory on the woman that threatened to sew everyone and called the peas ransorish? Was that the same woman that posted pictures of her big house and maybe an expensive watch? I remember some grown out acrylic nails pointing to the date on a newspaper maybe? Was that the torn bears saga?

I remember some guy named Joe, and all of the peas fawning over him. He posted a man's POV for quite some time. SlowJoe and then SlowerJoe? He's still around. He's married and has 2 beautiful daughters. Sweet family. He's still writing when he can & he's still hilarious!
And, yes, I remember that SO many Peas fawned all over him back then......... It was pretty rare to have guys on the original board.

So am I the only one that remembers some weird guy whose fetish was feeding obese women? "FeederLynn" I think was his name? Or am I confusing it with some other website? Wasn't his name just "Lynn" and then when we uncovered his fetish, we referred to him as FeederLynn? Fuzzy memories, but his story was gross (and a new one for me!!!!!).
The BJ-swallowing-for-items sounds more like a hooker. I don't remember that......... but I DO remember the threads on "The Rules" (was that what it was called???). I participated and got hundreds of msgs asking for my details. It was all about how women easily climax. Fun times........

I was afraid to mention it ever again in case men in black showed up at my door. My dad was still in the general aviation industry after 9/11, and I don't remember anyone having to be shot down. Everyone was grounded, some for a few days, but there were orders that if someone ignored the orders to land that they would be shot down. I think a few small planes were escorted to the nearest small airports. If the private pilots flew out of a small field without a tower and within airspace that doesn't require you to talk to Air Traffic Control, the private pilots wouldn't have known about 9/11 immediately. We didn't all have cell phones that gave us immediate news and such back then. So jets were scrambled and told to escort them home. I think there were cases where the jets had to do that, but nobody got shot down. That would have been a huge freaking deal in the aviation community. It would have been incredibly stressful to told that you had shoot a civilian though. Small planes have been flown into buildings before, so there was precedent that it was possible to use as small plane like a missile.

Yes, he was given the nickname FeederLynn because he was in a fetish community where people were paying morbidly obese women to gorge themselves. They were encouraging women to die early for money.

This is exactly right. Her son came on and had the same exact cadence that she did, and frankly, it was pretty odd. Yeah, I'm not trying to make excuses for my behavior either, but some peas made it sound like we all piled on a sweet pea for absolutely no reason.

And I still appreciate your willingness to help mentor those of us who were in need at the time. It set my DH and me up for the beginning of better communication in the bedroom. 😁

Those were the days!

I joined in 2003 as a 22 year old newlywed. We just celebrated 17 years of marriage and I turn 40 this year!
What happened to the woman. I think her name was Ruth? She was wheelchair bound (either full time or partially-I can’t recall). I think she lived in a Florida. She found herself unexpectedly pregnant in her 40s? I think around the same time Yvonne was pregnant. She later lost the baby. I don’t remember what happened to her after that. Does anyone remember her?
