My DD, SIL and 2 grandsons are coming for dinner tonight. I just browned and put a pork roast into the oven. I'll add carrots later and we'll have them along with biscuits and homemade mashed potatoes & gravy. I made cupcakes with a Betty Crocker butter recipe yellow cake mix and frosted them with a homemade fudgy buttercream for dessert. What's for Sunday dinner at your house? ETA: I just talked to my 87 year old mother and she is coming for dinner too

Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy and lima beans. I wanted meatloaf so I could take a meatloaf sandwich for lunch tomorrow. I love cold meatloaf sandwiches.

I so desperately need to go to the grocery store that dinner is going to be a combination of whatever I can find in the pantry. I *think* I have some spaghetti sauce in the freezer, but it isn't much, so I may combine it with some cream/parm cheese (again, need to go to the grocery store so it will the kind in the can) and make a creamy totato sauce to put on pasta.
If I made up the fact that there is spaghetti sauce in the freezer, it will probably be the peanut butter jar and a spoon. LOL

I'm making a pot of Toscano soup and having it with some crusty bread and green salad. Yummy!

We also had lasagna! I tried it with some Italian turkey sausage instead of ground beef like we usually use, and I found it a little too spicy for my taste. I like it when I cook a meal on Sunday that leaves leftovers for Monday. That can be a more tiring day at work, so it is nice to not have to worry about fixing dinner.

One of the standard " I forgot about dinner" meals LOL Spicy roasted potatoes and sausage. It is ridiculously easy and they would happily eat it once a week. I always have the ingredients to make it..so that's it for tonight.

Raviolis and meatballs. I seldom make meatballs and sauce these days as the kids are grown, but my son is here recuperating from surgery, so why not.

We're having fresh roasted chicken and mozzarella ravioli (from Costco) with a red sauce ... I could lie and say that we would also be having a green salad with it but no one eats it because we're full of the delicious ravioli

An oven roasted/fried chicken recipe that was "supposed" to taste just like KFC. It didn't taste anything like it! Damned Pinterest! It was edible but I wanted KFC so it goes on my pinterrible list. If anyone has a good crispy roasted chicken recipe, please share. I don't fry chicken anymore since I burnt my kitchen up last winter doing so. Maybe I should stick with take out!

Everyone else had leftovers from going out to eat last night. I ordered the smallest filet and while I didn't eat it all, there was not much to eat.
So I grabbed a packaged SW salad from WalMart and called it good.

We're headed over to my sister's house (just down the street) in a little while. She has my mom over teaching her how to make beef barley soup. Yes, we are grown-ass women. So we're going there for soup and garlic bread, and then coming back here to watch Masterpiece Theatre. I have an apple pie from Costco and I'm taking that for dessert. Literally? You burned down your kitchen? You poor thing. You deserve take out chicken.

I made a pot of chili for dh, so he had that, ds had leftover pizza and breadsticks from last night, and I had a bowl of frosted flakes. I had planned on grilled ham and cheese for myself, but the store left my ham out of my lunch meat order. Grrrrr.

We just had the ribs lucyg posted last week - and - they were a hit (although, next time I think we'll try finishing them off on the grill), with cornbread, steamed green beans and roast cauliflower.

Twenty thousand dollars later I now have a newly painted house, new flooring, new appliances, and refinished cabinets. Plus they took everything out of every cupboard in my house and either washed it or dry cleaned it. I will never complain about paying insurance again.
