Congratulations to all who are trying for their goals and are feeling better physically and mentally.

I guess I have missed these threads but would love to participate—I had a FB fitness group, but I have cut way back on FB.
My weekly goals are (1) barre six days and (2) 10,000 steps every day. I’ve done barre and hit my step goal every day this week so far.
ETA: my actual changes I am trying to stay motivated about are (1) drinking less and (2) getting back to a low-carb diet. I fell into the pandemic pattern of baking a lot and drinking a lot of wine, which was fine when I was in my 20s and 30s, but seems to have caught up with me quickly now that I am in my late 40s—I had to get back into work clothes this week, and they are definitely snug. Booooooo.

I’ve been struggling a bit this week. I’ve done at least 30 min of exercise daily so I didn’t lose my streak of closing my rings, but it was hard. I have had a headache all week and Aleve and ibuorofen aren’t helping. Early in the week I was a little nauseous as well but that seems better. Just the headache that lingers. It is common for me to get them but they usually aren’t this persistent. My neck and shoulders are also very tight and sore so I think that is contributing. I woke up today with the headache worse than last night so I am hoping that the ibuorofen I just took will help a little so I can exercise. Was planning 30 min on the elliptical and an upper body strength workout.

I've only been walking and using my pilates machine for my knee. I've gone about 3 miles a day this past week. Only 2 on a couple of them. It has been so stinkin hot I can't get out much. This morning it is the first morning I feel a tinge of coolness, and I didn't feel well enough to walk very far!! I ate some greasy food yesterday so I think I'm paying for it today. We've been doing a lot of cleaning out stuff getting ready for a wedding at the house on the 5th of September. Yesterday we spent in the garage! What a mess, but as of yesterday we can now put the three cars IN the garage. It's been full of MY stuff and my granddauther's stuff (she's getting married) so we got her stuff all taken over to her her house, and my stuff got taken to the barn, so the cars can now fit in the garage! Yeah us! Today we're delivering the extra furniture that I don't have room for, and that my granddaughter doesn't want, to my grandson. He takes anything!! haha!

WEDNESDAY- Only walked but did have a fun walk in a local beach area. I’d die to walk at the beach right now. I’m so sick of my neighborhood park but it’s extremely convenient.

Just finished ride 4 for the week. Usually I do an off day on Friday because it’s my one day to sleep a little later since DS doesn’t have football, but I was super sore yesterday and ended up skipping so I got out there and rode tonight. I tried to wait long enough for the garage to cool off, but with a fan and the door open it was still over 90 out there. Oh well! Done now!

FRIDAY: I had a good exercise day! I did my yoga this morning and walked this evening. We did it y'all! Some if us had bumps in the road but we got through. Congrats and I am proud of us. I will post a new thread for Monday. Have a great weekend!

I slacked today, had a late night last night and had to leave early today to watch the kids I watch and then was dealing with phone calls when I got home. . I planned on pedaling tonight, but was too stressed and sad to do it. I know it helps with anxiety and stress so I am fully committed to getting my morning ride in tomorrow!
I have had a really off schedule since March and I know I need to get myself back in some routine. WhenI am working I leave for work at 615 am, now I am leaving my house around 10, so I stay up late some nights, go to bed earlier others. I don’t have any set bedtime and I think it is messing with me. This is the week I should have been going back to school and back on routine and I think my body knew it somehow, so I have been really off this week. Sunday night is back to a set bedtime and lights out by 11! We will see if that helps next week.
Ok, reading all of you powering through inspires me, so I am going to read this thread tomorrow morning before I do my ride!
I hope everyone has a great weekend.

I have walked my 1.5 miles every morning. One of my Achilles is super inflamed and it hurts so bad. I’ve been icing it but it doesn’t seem to help.

Thursday: 7,650 steps - I did not meet my goal. My daughter and I got about half a block when we heard thunder. We are in a "moderate drought" and the rain from the storm was so welcome. I'll trade meeting my goal for rain in a drought any day.
Friday: 10,307
So 4/5 this week. See y'all Monday!

I was training for a 5K using the Couch to 5K app. However, I seem to have aggravated my heels so that's out.
I bought an exercise bike (normal style, not spin) at the beginning of SIP but only used it once. I want to try the Peleton app to get me motivated. I need something like the Couch to 5K app to keep me on track with small steps of improvement. Just biking alone even with music was hella boring.
I live on the 3rd (top) floor of an apartment so can't (shouldn't) get a treadmill although I prefer that over biking.
My bf and I take long walks on the weekend and are active at work but other than that, I don't do any other formal exercise.
I definitely need to lose weight too.

Barre for the sixth time this week today. I have managed to get through the entire first week back to teaching without coming home and unwinding with a glass or two of wine, so yay me (I also have not baked anything). I think eventually it will be fine for me to do both, but it’s good for me to reset and get back into better habits for now.
I really hate paying attention to my weight, but I would also hate having to buy new clothes, so here we are.

Just did my pedaling and I feel better already. Just got up, put on my riding clothes and did it before even thinking. I plan on doing the same tomorrow and getting into a routine. I really do enjoy when I am pedaling and the feeling afterwards.
For those of you with the peloton app are there any routines or classes you really like? I haven’t branched off from Christine after the one guy because I just like her so much, but am not adverse to trying someone similar.
