Haha...we need a dinner thread team! Lol! You, me, desertgirl, lucyg, aussiemeg, kelleem. Would be so fun! Don't forget the team members set the challenges for the month. So if you are a card maker and will be creating Christmas cards, be sure to plunk in a couple of challenges about card making and Christmas. And if you take alot of photos of FOOD, then add a challenge to scrap what we eat or something like that! ...but if you are going to skew the challenges like that, maybe I will need to split you up... hmmm... Haha! grammadee we will play fair for sure. I'm just thrilled so many of my buddies want to play this month. We talked it up on the dinner thread the past few days. |

I can’t decide what to do. I have earned a measly 30 points for August and feel like a lousy team member. I don’t know if September is going to be any better. I do have a crop day scheduled for the end of September though and I plan on a big batch order of photos....What the hay count me in.

I can’t decide what to do. I have earned a measly 30 points for August and feel like a lousy team member. I don’t know if September is going to be any better. I do have a crop day scheduled for the end of September though and I plan on a big batch order of photos....What the hay count me in. Don't beat yourself up about the points, seriously, there are plenty of months I get zero. It's all about encouraging each other to create, and play with our supplies. Life happens, and sometimes you can't create as much as you would like, it's all good! I'm glad you signed up for September! |

Okay, I’m in. I have no idea what I’m doing or where to look, though. Blame jeremysgirl .  I have NO idea either, lucy! Several of our dinner peeps have mentioned this---also looking at AussieMeg and desertgirl , Linda , tuesdaysgone , and anyone else I missed--- so I am very intrigued !  I keep SAYING I'm going to scrapbook more, so maybe now I will. I have SO MUCH PAPER, tons of precious photos, and I know this will keep my mind busy from quarantine !!! This reminds me of years ago when my friends and I scrapped ALL. THE. TIME. Perhaps it's time for "toee" to revisit those fun times! Questions----is a DAILY layout or card required? I read the instructions, but I don't get the whole POINTS thing, and, do I have to come up with challenges? I don't wanna be a lame team member....hee hee! and/or Where can I read more about what SKETCHtember entails? Thanks |

Every day a new sketch will be uploaded. You will have until the end of the month to upload your layout for any sketches you want to use. Actually, I think you might have an extra couple of days if you're going to attempt to do all 30 sketches (yeah, like that's gonna happen!!). We will also have our normal monthly challenges, which will be set in the first few days of the month. You don't have to come up with any, but feel free to if you want. To make it easier, you can take the "easy peasy" point counting route - it's something like 10 or 15 or 20 points for every card or layout, depending on the size. Oh, and nobody cares if you're a lame team member. Nobody cares if you get zero points. To be honest I don't pay any attention to who in my team gets what. Except for Linda, I always notice when she gets eleventy gazillion points, especially if she's not on my team haha! |

Yay! scrappintoee! I'm so glad you are joining us! There will be a thread where we can add challenges for extra points. It's fun, for example, if you like to use buttons, make a challenge using buttons and it'll get you some extra points. And truth, no one really cares about points. It's just about fun. It's not really competitive. |

scrappintoee - there are no lame team members - this is supposed to be fun and encouraging. Daily projects not required (but if you want to you can) points - there are two ways of counting. You can pick and choose which one works best for each project or just pick one and use it for all. Either way you get 1 pt for creating something (a page, a card, ...) and an additional 1pt if you share it in the thread Way 1 (good if you tend to stack lots of challenges on every layout) - you earn a point (more if the challenge states it) for each challenge you meet on a project. Way 2 (good if you don't want to have to figure points or if you tend towards simple projects that don't meet many challenges) - Easy Peasy - there's a set point value based on size of the project. Sketchtember - grammadee will post an explantion on Sept 1st with the points but basically there will be a sketch posted every day - use the sketch, earn a point. There will be a twist with it - can be a supply, a technique, a theme..., use the twist, earn an extra point. Usually there's a bonus for anyone who completes all 30 sketches for the month You don't have to use the sketches/challenges - you can just do your own thing and count points when you're done if you prefer. No stress about points - there's always someone who ends up with zero points or a low point count because life happen, motivation vanishes, etc... AussieMeg - no worries about noticing my point count this month - all I managed were a few organising points and a few cards

I'm in. I had to think long and hard but I'm currently working on my memory planner pages to get them done in time for August points. My adhesive arrived so I really should start getting back in the swing of things next month.

grammadee, wow I can not believe that it is already September. I will play, because DS does want some specific scrapbook pages . . . . Most all of my focus has been managing him since he got home. That and the garden! But my paper is calling me I hope!
