Still doing smaller portions. Not buying snacks. Struggling on the water intake. Some days water is just so boring. I think lack of chicken in a biscuit crackers and shoestring potato sticks(both salty snacks, both my favorite) isn't making me as thirsty for water. Making myself drink it anyways. Hydration is important, so is no snacking . Some days are harder than others.

I met my goal of riding 500 miles on the Peloton this month. 30 more than July so I’m having a rest day tomorrow. I’ll do some stretching or yoga as well as walking the dogs. I signed up for a running challenge but haven’t got round to it yet as my treadmill has a bunch of junk piled on it. I’m still snacking way too much and drinking far too little. I’m going to snack on fruit and veggies this week instead of chips and crackers.

It looks like my gym days will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week.
Yesterday and today were both rest days. Even though I relaxed with TV and scrapbooked today I got over 7000 steps. Yesterday was a huge step surprise, I did a scrappy garage sale with friends. It felt like I just sat all day long, but I ended up getting 9000+ steps. The sale was at a friends house that lives and hour away.
I used to struggle getting even 3000 steps, so I’m happy with my weekend totals.

I'm setting my usual goal of 10,000 steps a day on my fitness tracker. I'll set a goal of arm exercises too. I also want to see if I can make our ancient Wii Fit step board work.

I'm starting my second week of a power zone challenge on Peloton. I also have a strength class today. I've got some major lower back/butt pain, so I have an appointment with a really good sports massage therapist this week. I hope he can provide some relief. It doesn't help that the problem is exacerbated but lots of sitting which I do for most of the day. I need to look into a standing desk.

Just got done with my first walk of the week! The goal is every morning around the lake, which is about 1.5 miles.
Good luck to everyone this week!

I think I saw you posted about it elsewhere and it is intriguing to me. I love my standing scrap table and that we have a standing desk at school ( I am only on the computer at school for very minimal times though). It makes such a difference to me. I do have a bar stool I can sit on if I need to, but I rarely use it and it usually has a cat on it anyway! I know our secretary at school has a standing table top that goes over her regular desk. She can adjust it to however she wants. I hope you feel better soon!

My goal is to get in 45 minutes of movement five days this week. I added a 10x 20-second run / 60-second walk on my 3.5 miles along the rail trail this morning.
Feeling good!

My goal is to get back to my daily aerobics in the AM and walks in the PM. It is a lot cooler here so I hope to enjoy the milder temps.
Good to see everyone one!

You can either follow along on your own, or do it with a team. You can pick either 3, 4, or 5 classes per week, but you have opportunities to get extra credit. This is my first challenge, so I'm not sure what happens with the points your team earns, but I just like the idea of having a schedule to stick to.

I went out with my daughter this morning on our mountain bikes. We did a 5 km loop through the forest which doesn't sound like a lot but it was hilly and the ground was dusty/slippery. My legs were burning at the end.
Great start to the week.

Monday: 10,290 steps and arm exercises. Also, I made the Wii Fit step board work. It said it had been 3960 days since the last time I used it. That's probably pretty accurate and I was laughing that it has been 10 years. I always planned on joining the Y or Planet Fitness when I stopped working and now I'll need to make alternate plans for the cold part of the year.
Also, I am really, really terrible at the Wii Fit step board. Hopefully a little practice will help.

HI everyone!
I took the first step in my exercise journey a bit ago. I feel much better overall. It hasn't shown on the scale yet but I need to learn to watch what I eat as well. The quarantine hasn't been kind to me, but I'm hopefully taking the right steps now.
Anyway, my goals for the week is to exercise at least 3 more times minimum.
Thanks for having me.

Still on the barre/step goal track — barre six days, 10,000 steps/day. I did it yesterday, even though it meant taking a walk after dinner when I realized I was 1500 steps short.
Still laying off the baked goods and wine. The terrible news I have is that, having gone about 2.5 weeks without any alcohol or muffins/bagels/bread, my work clothes are already fitting better. Dang it—turns out behavior really does connect to weight.

I’m spinning every other day and am adding 1 of their sculpt workouts after. The other days running & walking. Walking each night after dinner.
Yesterday I noticed an August challenge on my Apple Watch. It was to burn 21,500 calories. Last night before my walk I was at 21,000. By the end of the day I had 26,000 steps. You don’t burn calories that quick walking.

Ok peas. I hang out on the SBR side 90% of the time but I'm always lurking over here.
A couple of weekends ago, I rearranged my tiny third bedroom to make room for my elliptical (that's been in the garage since I moved here two years ago).
I've been on it a big whoppin' once since then. 🙄 Maybe this is the push I need!
Thanks for the inspo!

Did my morning pedaling, had a good ride. Was able to match cadence and didn’t feel like dying. I got a little fan that attaches to my bike and that helped immensely. We have a/c, but I still get super sweaty and hot when riding, I am kind of shocked what a difference it made.
I am going to be more mindful about my eating this week as well, being home all day makes it too easy to just grab a small snack. When I feel snacky I will drink some water instead.

Hello everyone! I am still on my ring closing streak (I think 107 days now) and was the leader in both of my rings challenges again in August. But, I feel like my commitment to my workouts has been lacking a little bit. This month my goal is to also focus on nutrition. Since going back to work in June I have been eating horribly. We also were really busy with a shortened baseball season. Things are a little slower now. I have started to use the Lose It app and my goal is to plan and track my meals. I also need to get back to 5:2. I've only had breakfast so far but as of now I am on track today. We will be going out of town this weekend and I need to check if the hotel gym is open.

I haven't been able to do much walking since it's been so darn hot here, but I'm trying! Will get back to it probably more next week as I'll be visiting my daughter and we'll be walking on the beach!! Yeah for cooler weather. Oh, I HAVE been drinking more water the past month or so--so that is good--I also cut down on snacks! I don't need to lose any weight--but do need to work on the flab that is leftover! Tightened flab looks much better than loose flab!

After being on vacation for 10 days, where my main exercise was walking to the pool deck, and occasionally going in the water, I decided this past weekend that I need to get back on track. Though I didn't gain weight on vacation, I didn't lose after my eating returned to 'normal' on our return, so it is obvious that I need my exercise there.
I am hoping to walk every day this week, though I will be happy with 5 days. Each day, it will be about 2.5km. So far, I have walked Monday, Tuesday and today, so I am well on my way back to routine.
