I love that she wore a blush colored gown. It shows her own personal style and taste. She really made a beautiful bride!

She was a beautiful bride for sure,
I do hope they have a plan on how to support themselves, though. She married a 19 year old boy who quit college to move closer to her and who has no job other than doing odd jobs for her father.

Loved her dress, very pretty bride, but yes...I'll be interested to see how this works out, especially since I won't be surprised if she's pregnant by Christmas.

What amazes me is Jim Bob made such a big deal about asking Derrick how he was going go support Jill but yet nothing about Ben. He is a college dropout with nothing lined up and so so young. Seems like a disaster waiting to happen. And yes I watch the dugger's with morbid curiosity. lol.

Yeah, I can't imagine what my reaction would be if my 19 yr old son came home and told me was dropping out of college to move to Arkansas and marry one of the Duggar girls, but I don't think it'd be good.

I have read reports that she did NOT have her first ever kiss in front of the 1,000 plus guests. I thought that was just the coolest thing!!!! Why does her family, friends, and all of us watching on TV have the right to witness that special moment. All the weddings on the show... her brother's, sister's, and even her brother's in-law's, and family friend's weddings have made a HUGE awkward deal of the first kiss. Her dad even went up in front of the church and announced it being their first and then gave permission for it (at his other two children's weddings). So, I hope the reports are true and Jessa and Ben took that first kiss to a back room in the church. Awesome! I read that too. And then I read that in lieu of seeing Jessa and Ben exchange their first kiss, her parents exchanged a kiss. Like REALLY? Her parents? Way to make it all about them. Again. The parents are just so .... icky.

Good for them for deciding to make their first kiss private! I think she looked beautiful and love that she chose a blush gown instead of the typical white-it worked perfectly for her!
I can't stand the parents-they make me just feel so icky inside, especially the father. I'm not surprised they decided to steal the moment and kiss in front of all of those guests. I used to have nothing against Michelle until I watched the episode where she was hugging and kissing Jim Bob in front of her teen daughters and then turning to them in a teasing voice saying, "You can't do this, you can't do this" because they aren't married yet, but were courting. It was so demeaning and unnecessary. Especially since from what I've read neither she nor Jim Bob followed those rules before they got married but came up with them afterwards when they found this "religion".
There are some parts I can't find fault with-they are self supporting and all, but I do find fault with Michelle popping out baby after baby (her choice) and then leaving the raising of those babies to her daughters rather than doing it herself. That part bothers me. I'm the eldest of 4 children. I did my share of "watch the little ones" and know what's involved, didn't mind helping out and know that it did me good and taught me valuable lessons growing up. This goes way, way beyond that in my humble opinion.

I like how she is open to both natural children and adoption! Good for her I don't know where I read that she is hoping for as many children as her Mom and Dad have. And yes, she wants to give birth and adopt. She seems, like most of the other Duggars, to have a good head on her shoulders. She looked beautiful. And I have always thought she was the prettiest Duggar by far. I also thought she was going to break free, and go wild. I missed that by a mile

I'm very interested to see what life after wedding looks like for them. Is Jim Bob going to hand them a house to live in like he did for Jill and Derrick? Will they get pregnant right away? Seems like a very unwise decision considering his age and how unestablished he is being that it's not like Jessa will work out of the home. But, if they don't have children right away what will the parents have to say about that?!
I do think Jessa is a beautiful girl and has a wonderful sprit. I would love to see her and Ben make their own path in life.

I have a feeling - because of the dress that is NOT white and no televised first kiss....I think they jumped the gun and had sex before marriage. The church I grew up in, if the dress isn't white it's because of premarital sex. Hmmm.

They just buy what they like. I wore white at my wedding and since I had a 9 yr old son, that pretty much voids the virginity thing. On the other had I went to a wedding where the bride was a virgin, but chose to wear the most beautiful Champagne colored dress.

JimBob feigns concern about these things because as the Patriarch, he feels it endears him to his family and his viewers. However, his main priority is to get them married and reproducing asap, because his children walking their predetermined path, identical to their parents', is what validates his and Michelle's extreme choices.

And they've never been allowed to be alone with just the two of them, so they'd never have that opportunity. Besides, if they're going to "break the rules" and do the deed before the wedding day, why would she care about the color of her dress?

Like this? yes. like that. No "A" mind you, that would be considered a little over the top but... It's just...was this wedding all of a sudden? I don't follow the Duggars, just the threads here with morbid curiousity. How much of the courtship was televised? I don't care how much people are monitored and not allowed to be alone, unless lock them up, they will find opportunity. It is conceivable that it happened. (haha, snicker, pun intended). In the church I grew up, there was a thriving industry in hiding the pregnancy so that you could wear white. In one case, she had the baby 3 days after the wedding and nobody knew she was pregnant. Then they had to do confession of guilt in front of the church before the baby was baptized but whatever. It just strikes me that the Duggar religion is at least as strict as the one I grew up in. Notice she's sitting in that picture with flowers over her belly?

The article I read said that they left the public viewing to have their first kiss in private after their wedding. So they did wait, they just didn't do it in front of everyone. And really, something as intimate as a first kiss, I would not want everyone watching either. I think they are too young and he is not in a position financially to be a husband and father. I am really worried about this couple.

These two courted for almost a year before getting engaged, which is pretty long for that circle of people. Jessa and Ben started courting before Jill and Derick did.
Personally I think the dress was a blush color because it looks better on tv than blinding white. Jill's dress was champagne colored and no one was accusing her and Derick of doing anything before they got married. Even if they did have the *gasp* front hug at the airport in front of her entire family.

Sadly the other sister has been getting more attention with the courtship, marriage and immediate conception. Jessa got engaged the same time Jill found out she was knocked up. So jessa was in the limelight once more. Sadly her fiancé now husband is dumb as dirt. SMH
