Here's my card for today. I just love this sweet bird image from the Free as a Bird stamp set. I colored them using Stampin' Blends alcohol markers then fussy cut them. Full details can be found on my blog.

CoffeeCrafter, your Heartfelt Christmas cards are beautiful. I love the red foil you used as a background. Lovely.~ I love the colors in the stripes of your Thanks card. You did a great job of blending colors on the sentiment.~ I am intrigued with the shape of your Faith card designer paper. I haven’t ever seen that before and it’s fun to see it used in 2 different types of cards. scrappyrabbit, I love all the papers you have used on your layouts. We don’t camp so I tend to ignore the camping lines as they come out each year, but these are gorgeous papers. I love the little fish and fishing pole and the sign post. Just really cool pages. schroema, I love the angles on your All Stars page. I am such a linear scrapper, but I love seeing what others do with angles. This is such an eye-pleasing layout.~ Your soccer pages are wonderful. I love that you were able to use so many photos and I love all your hexagons. Very cool pages. Linda, you have such wonderful animal photos on your zoo pages. I agree that the focus needs to be on those photos. Beautiful pages. I’m glad you used few embellishments and let her photography shine. Simply amazing pages. ~ I love your back to school pages, even though back to school has a different connotation this year. It’s still school! CoffeeCrafter, I’m sorry you are impacted by the smoke. We have fires around us too. My DD called to say they evacuated much of her town and to within 7 blocks of her home. They were told if the wind changed, they would have to evacuate too. I hope they get these under control soon. Wind makes it so much worse.

This LO idea was completely random. I had no real direction in where I wanted it to go. I was watching a Vicki Boutin YouTube video on ways to use art crayons. The background is from her mixed media paper pad. I stamped the black heart, then used the art crayons as watercolor. Then, I decided to try mixing the art crayon with her gesso and stamping textured hearts. Then, I tried stitching down the center with black thread. I didn’t like it. So then, I tried black and white twine and stitching down the page, and into the hearts. I also did some detailed cutting on the flowers. It’s quite busy, and doesn’t look anything like I thought it would, but it’s cute! Hand stitching is a PITB, though.

Wow, KikiPea that's some great crafty playtime! The stitching might be a pain but it looks really cool. It sounds like you got to try all kinds of things out on this page. Linda I can see how the patterned papers might be a bit much for you, but I think it looks great, and appropriate for the topic. One thing I learned how watching Kristie Marcotte's card videos (a lot of pp mixing) is that sometimes adding a mat layer between the patterns can help break things up and give everything its own space. Your page reminds me of one of her card designs and I'm imagining if each layer of paper had a white border like the photo, whether that would give it a little more separation and order. But hey, it's fun and it's done!! CoffeeCrafter those birds are delightful and I love the background color and pattern. Such a pretty card. I still have to catch up with the previous pages of shares, sorry!

I made some cards! (sorry the lighting isn't the best) I am running out of kitty cat paper - used up the last two sheets making two sets of 6 for my shop. They're my most popular item. September share by jo.blackford, on Flickr So I bought some new papers I hope will also be popular. Blushing hedgehogs! September share by jo.blackford, on Flickr Critters wearing flower crowns? They had big gaps between each line so I stamped some "kind" sentiments. September share by jo.blackford, on Flickr Diverse ladies! I loved this and immediately wished I'd bought a stack of this paper. GRL PWR by Damask Love. September share by jo.blackford, on Flickr Some of the next cards I might have already claimed as "finished" last month so I'll check that and only claim points for the time I took adding more to them if that's the case. (ETA: only the cat, who just needed die cutting and gluing down, so never mind). Celebrate cat September share by jo.blackford, on Flickr My ongoing mission to get the most use from this stamp. They're all stamped and heat embossed on Ella and Viv patterned paper. I just added some shadows and coloring with markers. Bottom right is my favorite - the coloring is all the patterned paper - I only added light grey shading. September share by jo.blackford, on Flickr And these cards which are part of a new thing I decided to do with older supplies (more coming soon!). Getting in the Halloween mood. (The lighting on these is a challenge and I did a crappy job today, sorry. The backgrounds are a slightly glossy coated night sky pp from Ella and Viv.) September share by jo.blackford, on Flickr Feels good to finally get some crafting done! I'm halfway through another 25 cards too Thanks for looking.

CoffeeCrafter, I love those sweet little birdies, especially on a best of friends card! Hoping you get lots of rain to drown out those fires! Linda, that valentine page may have lots of patterns on it, but you have used them very effectively, and it has a really cohesive look. KikiPea, that is a gorgeous photo of you two, and you have dressed it up wonderfully. Wow. You and Vicki Boutin make quite a pair! (and I know that is your hubby in the photo and not VB ) joblackford, I will catch you on Flickr.

Hoping you get lots of rain to drown out those fires! Sadly, we probably won't start getting rain for at least another couple of months. Most of our rain for the entire year falls in the months of December through February.

Your sketch made me think of Minecraft blocks, so I went looking for papers and stickers that would work with that theme. I love the primary palette of my little boy supplies. I see your page now. I love how you made nylene’s page design work for you! And I love that rich red.

Ooh, such pretty cards CoffeeCrafter and joblackford! The stamped ones are sooo pretty (both of you ) and your backgrounds are amazing too (both of you ) grammadee - your ripped edges are totally perfect on this layout! Amazing detail, great colours. I love how you used the sketch. I'm working on the same one, but mine feels much more static. Ironically - you'll see later - I also have black and white stripe on mine!

I took on AussieMeg 's first sketch. I'm not usually keen on birthday pictures. The photos are never great because they are indoor evening photos. But I *love* how this layout came out! PP is Paige Evans. Different thicker sets, a few I painted white then used silver ink on them. layout today is 12 by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Linda, isn’t it fun when a page turns out just like you wanted and you love it. Your Love page is beautiful.~ I love your page using the triangles at the bottom. The star patterned paper looks great with that maroon paper. KikiPea, another beautiful layout from you. I love that background with your colors. The stitching on the background and through the hearts is a fancy touch. Love it. grammadee, kitbop and joblackford there is love in the gallery.

This LO was fun to play around with. The Vicki Boutin premade background worked perfectly with the photo. Pretty much everything is Vicki’s products, with the exception of the distress oxides I used for the map stencil across the bottom of the photo, and the enamel dots by Gina Marie Designs which I LOVE. She has the best. I detail cut the flowers from patterned paper.

Linda - fabulous list pages! I should do some list pages - I'd probably do 4 on a page because I'm a 12x12 scrapper and I'd feel wasteful doing a whole page on 1 list. Your list of words you dislike is SO MUCH like mine. My Mom told me "you don't hate lima beans. Lima beans aren't your preference." and the lesson stuck. But can we add the word "literally"? I am SO sick of the current generation using that word so incorrectly. As "The Princess Bride"..."You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means"!!! KikiPea - that is STUNNING, the colours, swoon!

I was so busy yesterday I never got around to posting my card, so it's a two-fer from me today. Well, I guess it's technically a three-fer since I created two cards today. I'll start with yesterday's card. It was inspired by, and dedicated to, all the teachers who are struggling to navigate through the new "normal" of what teaching looks like for them this year, so I decided to go with the chalkboard technique for my card. All the details are in this post on my blog. For today's cards, I decided to use up some of my cardstock scraps. I got the idea for these cards from a Stampin' Up Demonstrator friend of mine in Australia. Since the backgrounds were so colorful, I left the little zebras uncolored. All the details for both cards can be found in this post on my blog.

I just couldn't get the scrappy strips idea out of my head, so I created another card using this technique. This time around I used a variety of different types of scraps (cardstock, copper foil, foiled DSP) for my card. This one won't be on my blog for a while because it's part of a swap I'm doing with some fellow SU demonstrators. The technique is exactly the same as the card I posted earlier, just different papers and sentiment.

CoffeeCrafter - more amazing cards. I'm in love with the zebras but it's your details - the background, the small scallop just peeking out, the stitched die of the shape - that give the card it's "Kapow". Here's what I laboured on yesterday - it took many hours because I struggled with cluster placement and cluster items. Today I may pick a 1 page sketch This was the Sept. 10 sketch. strathcona park by kirstendrew, on Flickr

I took a day off from crafting yesterday--went shopping instead--and while I thought I may be able to jump right back into it, my creativity has seemed to hit the Pause button. Have all my unattempted sketches printed and on my counter, have my new photos printed, and some new supplies (although they just got me interested in making Christmas cards rather than scrapping pages...), but no ideas this morning. Will need to head into the kitchen soon and deal with some zucchini I shredded Thursday. Maybe an idea will occur to me there... Hope I come up with something before Sunday morning's Hangout! I do have one page kit I put together for my sample for Tuesday, so maybe I can work on that while chatting. Great job with your book of lists, Linda. You make every page pretty to look at and interesting to read. This will be something you and your family will love looking back on in the future. Not sure if we ever quite remember correctly "the way things were..." KikiPea, another stunning LO! Love how you framed that photo with VB products, and the pop of gold in the perfect title. Also love that even though Vicki did the mixed media for you that you added that stenciled piece. CoffeeCrafter, I think you hit my favourite shade of blue in that "It's your day" card, and I love the chalky look of the flower and greeting. Your bd cards are so FUN! Love that little zebra, and of course the happy colours in the background. And that Grateful card is AMAZING!!! Love how those different pp strips look against that cs background. love how you cut them. Just love this CARD! What a wonderful way to use up scraps!!!
