His “I’m wearing a mask” photo op didn’t turn out so great LOL.

I believe both chants were use. "Vote him out!" and "Grant her wish!" Unless I was dreaming and/or hallucinating when I thought I saw. I'll see if I can find a clip or both.
It appears he walked away before "honor her wish!" erupted.

I’m anticipating a tweet from him later today thanking the record level crowds that came for him and their wonderful reception when he arrived.

I enjoyed the constipated look you could still see thru the mask when the obvious boo’s started up. I’d bet good money his aides are working overtime to print out good polls and articles for him today after that lovely serenade. Even the mask couldn’t hide how much he can’t handle anything, but open adulation and deference. honestly, to me, the booing was more delicious than the 'vote him out' chant. He can claim he mis-heard 'vote him out' into some other positive phrase, but it's pretty hard to mis-hear booing. lol.

I would have loved to see his facial expression. That is likely the reason he was wearing a mask... so people couldn't see the utter disgust on his face at even having to make an appearance. Not that he really had to, but you know what I mean. He certainly wasn't wearing it because of Covid. Why wouldn’t he pay respects to John Lewis? This is really odd to me that he showed up here. What was in it for him?

You could tell by his eyes that he heard it and did not like it. I hope he feels the displeasure of this country in his bones for years to come. He is vile.

I was curious as to what Melania thought as well. It looked like she turned and walked away before he did. Was it time for them to leave or did they leave because of the chants?

Why did melania and trump like, fade into the background after a few minutes of standing there during the boos? Had they planned to only stand there for a few moments to make an appearance, and then leave at a designated time? Had they prearranged a time period to slowly skulk away? We’re they wearing ear pieces and people were screaming into them to “get the hell out of there! But do it gradually so it looks ok”?
This whole thing is really fucking weird. Why was he even there? Why was melania there? Neither of them actually care about RBG and what she stood for and her legacy. And they KNOW she hated them. Was their appearance just to rub the “libs” face in it? To divert attention from RGB back on to the stupid trumps?

They forget that it’s been written about and shown by the media outside of America though. Yeah already seen it on the BBC news Do you have Sky gar ? There was an interesting programme covering the yes and the no's of his re-elecion on Sky documentaries last night titled America Interrupted. It was examining Donald Trump's impact and his chances of being re-elected.

I asked myself that question when they showed it here in the |UK - He's the biggest hypocrite that has ever walked a pair of shoes. It would have been far more respectful for him to have stayed away - he has no respect and never will have for what she stood and fought for.

I’m the one who would normally say that this crowd reaction, at this event, was inappropriate and awkward. But nope; this man reaps what he sows.
However, I don’t question the president for attending. Any other president would have. He represents the Executive Branch; he’s the leader of the country. Like it or not, he represents us. And should.
My guess is he grudgingly gave in to advice. It’s one thing for a sitting president to constantly deride Blue states and Blue governors...to marginalize Blue Covid deaths. It’s one thing to dis a prominent Black Democratic legislator and civil rights leader. (Don’t get me wrong: both are shameful and unprecedented.)
But to be a no-show for a Supreme Court justice based on her judicial stances might be a bridge even too far for the Lone Ranger.

Yes, I know in reality that he " had" to go but it still doesn't take away that feeling of hypocrisy seeing him standing there though.

To divert attention from RGB back on to the stupid trumps? He was there simply for a photo op and to create confusion as to how he feels about RGB. (He is most likely full of glee at the timing of her death but wants to be perceived as caring by his base so they can argue on his behalf as usual. But we all know better.) He was definitely surprised by chanting and slithered away after a few seconds. Melania just followed suit as always.

Sometimes I like listening to British news to hear the unbiased world view of our country's idiocy. He's the biggest hypocrite that has ever walked a pair of (lifted) shoes. added to this sentence for you, @dottyscrapper. Although I think your statement is probably correct- any kind of shoes, Donald Trump is the worst hypocrite ever.

Mitch & Lindsey give him a run for that prize and they just might edge him into 3rd place. We may have to check the judges panel for that

Sky is a pay to view satellite TV broadcaster here in the UK and some parts of mainland Europe. It's owned by Comcast now but used to be part owned by Rupert Murdoch 21st Century Fox until a few years ago.
