He's a strange case. I lived in SC for many years, so am pretty familiar with LG. When he was 21, both of his parents died and he took on guardianship for his 13-year-old sister, which is a pretty decent thing to do. He joined the military and served his country. Obviously, there was once a sliver of a decent person somewhere in him, but something happened somewhere along the way to turn his soul into the dark, foul, convoluted mess it is now. It literally reminds you of one of those old stories about a person who sells his soul to the devil or something. I would vote for a bowl of oatmeal before I'd vote for him. Maybe if he's defeated, he'll have some time to figure out how he lost his way so absolutely. I remember hearing him speak and take questions at an event not long after he was elected and thinking - at that time - how he seemed like a bright light who might do South Carolina proud. Obviously, I'm a very poor judge of character. He defeated Alex Sanders for that Senate seat and how I wish our state had elected him instead. A very decent man who is both a gentleman and a scholar.

Yep, Lindsey. You’re right. It’s because we hate you. Now move along.

Jaime Harrison might be wondering why he’s suddenly receiving donations from middle-aged women from all over the country. We all should have labeled our donations “from the peas.”

Jaime Harrison might be wondering why he’s suddenly receiving donations from middle-aged women from all over the country. We all should have labeled our donations “from the peas.” I have LONG said that when the middle-class start donating to pols ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, we'll have a fair fight at the polls. If lobbyists can buy sorry, "donate to" politicians ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, so can the "little people". When you live in a place that's solidly blue, use your money in other parts of the country. For example, ActBlue's Senate Fund secure.actblue.com/donate/flipthesenatevbSince we have "the best democracy money can buy" it's time to start acting like it. You are a FINANCIAL constituent to ANY race in the country. Just like the big-money lobbyists.

I certainly hope the voters agree with the rest of the country.
The Daily did a podcast episode about Lindsey a few years ago and how/why he changed after McCain died. It was interesting.

I've lived in SC all of my life. And I agree with shessoaverage- something happened to him... With that being said, I still can see him being reelected. I definitely agree that he needs to go.
