AC to 66 at night. I might turn it up to 70 during the day.
We don’t turn the heater on at all unless it gets below 50 degrees in the house and then we set it to like 55.

I live in MA. In the winter, my heat is set at 60*. I like it on the cooler side where I can bundle up, but we’ll see what happens this year because I’ll be home (COVID). The only time I used to bump the heat up is if a storm was coming, we lose power ALL THE TIME. So in that case I’d bump my heat up to anywhere from 75*-80* so it would take the house longer to cool down when we lost power. Now that I have the whole house generator the heat stays at 60*
A/C, it depends if it’s humid or not. We had a very hot/humid summer. If I was in the office I’d probably set the A/C to 76-78* because I wouldn’t be home. However due to COVID, I was home all Summer. At night I’d turn the A/C down to around 63* then will turn the thermostat up to 74 when I get up in the morning (5am). Typically, the A/C won’t come on again until around 3-4pm and that’s with it being 85-95+* out. The front of my house gets the sun all day long but I keep the shades/blinds drawn to keep the heat out. The only time the A/C came on earlier in the day was when it was really humid out. Then you’d see it coming on around 1-2pm but I’d also bump the thermostat down to about 72* to combat the humidity.

SoCal. We cool off at night. When I run my a.c. it's set to 78 during the day and turned off at sunset. Heat is also only run occasionally, it gets set to 70 and is also turned off at night.

Heat 72° because we have dampness issues on my floor. It dries everything up.

The AC is set to 77 snd I start to feel cold at about 73. The heat usually gets set to 68 so I’m cold until it warms up again. During the summer hot flashes are horrible as I like the temp about 65 then lol. It’s still getting up to around 100 here and should be over that several days this week

We try to keep it at 72, but the AC struggles in the late summer late afternoons and it may get up to 76 no matter now we set it. Today it’s 86 in here because the capacitor died overnight! We woke up sweating at 77 degrees and it’s been slowly rising all day. The repair guy finally got here and is fixing it now.
We don’t turn the heat on that often in the winter, but when we do, we tend to keep it around 70.

Summer between 72-74 during the day...which is HOT to me, but, I am willing to live with it so that I can have 68 degrees at night, which is also borderline too hot, but, I am also a cheapskate.
Winter, I think about 65. My mom lives with us and is always freezing, so, we can’t go below that or I would never hear the end of it.

In the winter while we are at work it is set to 62. When we get home we bump it to 68. When we go to bed it goes back down to 62. I have a heating blanket to warm up the bed for a few minutes before I climb in. I turn it off before I go to sleep.
In the summer we keep it at 78 while at work, which means it really won’t come on as it stays well below that after a night with the upstairs windows open. If it’s a really hot day, we will turn it down to 72 to cool off the upstairs. Once it’s below 72 outside we turn it back up to 78, open the upstairs windows and turn on the ceiling fan. It cools off pretty nicely most summer nights.

South Florida-very humid. AC is always on, set to 77 most of the year. There are ceiling fans in all the rooms and it is very comfortable. In the winter during the few cool spells, the heat goes on at 72, hate being cold.
I try to be environmentally conscientious and and limit the amount of electricity used for cooling the house. Plus it is much easier on the bank account. I have a friend who's house is half the size of mine and keeps his AC in the 60's all the time and his electric bill is is like a mortgage payment.

We like it cool. Usually between 69-71. That's about where I have it when I'm running the AC. In the winter, I turn the thermostat down to below 60. But that's to keep my electric heat from turning on and heating my entire place. In the winter, I prefer to run my gas fireplace for heat. It keeps the open area warm (living room, kitchen, dining area home office) without overheating the bedroom.

AC is at 76 during the summer. We live in a hot, humid swamp but I won’t budge on that.
Heat is 70. Winters can be variable here but usually gets down to the 20s for December and January. Sometimes below zero but rarely.

AC is roughly 74. I don’t know how people live with it colder. I’d have to wear a sweatshirt or long pants. I had a friend growing up whose house was always set at 65. I kept waking up in the middle of the night when I stayed at her house because I was shivering.
I think our heat is set at 70-72, but I tend to have amnesia over these things so check back with me in a couple months lol.

I think our heat is set at 70-72, but I tend to have amnesia over these things so check back with me in a couple months lol. My thoughts exactly! I think we heat to between 65 and 68, but I can't recall. Whatever feels comfy in our cold, damp, dreary winters. As for A/C, we cool to 71 day and night. Our second floor tends to run hot (farther from the A/C), so at night, it's still warm up there. But we have to keep the A/C on from spring through fall due to my allergies. DH turned off the A/C last week when it got chilly outside, and the next morning, I woke up with a migraine-like headache from sitting out in the night air the night before and sleeping without the A/C. It's amazing what a difference the A/C makes in that regard.

Currently, I have the air conditioning set at 72 degrees. It's still hot here in Ft Worth. I have no idea when it will get cold enough to turn on the heater.

We have the ducted heating set to 20 C (which is 68 F). We have evaporative cooling, and you can't set that to a specific temperature, so we just put it on the lowest or highest setting depending on how hot it is outside.

Summer 71. Winter 65. Typically we don’t adjust for time of day, so they’re locked in. If we get uncomfortable, we remove or add clothes.
