I am in Melbourne, so if I want to go shopping its online! I love SB.com because they usually ship pretty fast and so cheaply! I was naughty last month and did 4 orders...3 arrived so far, the last one was going through Hong Kong! One of the ones before that went through Tokyo...at least our packages are getting to see the world because I am not allowed farther than 5km from my house!
The thing that gets me is because everyone is shopping online it takes aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages for even something mailed nearby to arrive. I am waiting on so many packages it isn't even funny. The highlight of my day is 2:00 pm because that is when my postie comes by, haha!
I hope your package is with you soon. Tell us how the inks are when you receive them.

That's definitely the craziest one I've heard yet. I know there are plenty of examples of stuff being posted here, being sent interstate for sorting, then coming back to be delivered in the same city. I'm convinced I live in some sort of mail black hole, I got two parcels from Sydney faster than I've been able to get a parcel from a suburb that is just outside our 5km lockdown zone, and which I could drive to in about 10mins normally.

I've had a SB.com order that came to France eventually (after a long time in the San Francisco international hub) and then travelled back to the US, someplace in Texas. It took another detour in the US before departing again. I can't blame SB.com, it was clearly USPS's fault. I hope your parcel moves quickly from Ireland to Australia! These are definitely frustrating times, especially 6 months into the pandemic when logistics should start adapting and moving smoothly again...

I feel your pain! I have also been waiting from from SB.com. Mine arrived in the UK at the beginning of September, but it's been sitting in a warehouse ever since. It needs a customs charge paid, but I've not recieved anything asking me to pay (email or letter) so it's just sitting there and I can't do anything about it. So frustrating! I hope you get your goodies soon!

Similar thing happened to me, I ordered a stamp set from Kelli stamps in Australia and it was shipped in June and I received it in September in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I can't imagine how much international shipping has been changed by all this!! So sorry, that sounds super frustrating!

International shipping to the UK seems to have picked up over the last few months which is fantastic. At one point it was horrendously slow.

Once it left the US for the second time and finally was registered as in the country by La Poste, it sailed to me in 3 days, I believe. It completely skipped customs. Phew! It's USPS I'm still struggling with. The rest seems to be going well. UPS USA is funky for tracking but hands over to La Poste (and not UPS France for some reason ) pretty quickly. Fingers crossed things won't regress with the second wave...

Yes, shipping routes and times are just crazy at the moment. I just couriered a parcel to the UK for my niece's birthday and it took about 5 days to get there, hopping around the world and ending up in Coventry of all places. At least it's better than it was back in March/April when it took about 3 months for a card to get to me.
