I know we are localish to each other. I really hope that once this pandemic is under control I get to meet you in person. You always post the most thoughtful things and I always find myself nodding along with what you have written. Thank you for always having compassion, reason, and using facts to support your views. I think you are awesome! That is the nicest thing! Thank you. I’d love to get together someday. We used to have Bay Area pea get-togethers sometimes at the local scrapbook stores, but too many people quit scrapbooking and most of the stores closed.

Let’s not forget the environment - legislation about sustainability, alternative energy, water, etc. And soonly.
And legislation that supports small businesses and U.S. manufacturing.
And maybe outlaw comic sans font in any color.

Everything that’s already been said, but on a more personal level I just want serenity. I want to read the news without having my stomach in knots. I want to not be an embarrassment. I want to relax. Amen. I wake up wondering what embarrassing thing he will do next. What dictator will he sidle up to? What environmental regulation will he gut? Why don’t the Senate Republicans ever stand up to this clown? It is exhausting. And he is everywhere; his mug is on TV, he Tweets constantly, and if it’s not him, it’s his adult children.

This is a bit of a tangent, but I believe that it is critical. We MUST be mindful, going forward, of how important it is to pay attention to races in our respective states. State legislatures can do a lot of damage. In my state of Ohio, the Republican legislature is ridiculous; some of them want to impeach Gov. DeWine for insisting that we wear masks and limiting crowds in restaurants, etc. they have gerrymandered the state to absurdity.
State races matter. They matter a lot.
