I'm a big huge fan of Fluff Busting Purity. It lets you customize and hide a bunch of the FB extra junk. Apparently the latest update couldn't be worked around within the FBP tweaks, so the developer just created a standalone browser extension. I installed it and viola! No more new facebook! This is great. I miss the translation button. I have several foreign friends and sometimes they post in their native language and I could just hit translate and could read what they posted. This doesn't have that button, but the format is great!

They've changed me about 7 times and 7 times I've changed back. I'll keep this handy for when they don't give me the option to change back.

I've only seen the change on my laptop...is there hope it won't be changed on my phone and ipad?? Same. I don't use the app but log in on facebook. It is a standard version. Of course I hardly log in so |

They've changed me about 7 times and 7 times I've changed back. I'll keep this handy for when they don't give me the option to change back. That should be by Wednesday. They said in September the old one was going away permanently. Mine changed this morning and my option to revert disappeared. |

Mine changed this morning and my option to revert disappeared. My option disappeared too. But when I went into one of the groups that I'm the adm of, it asked if I wanted to revert. Of course I said yes! |

Thanks, @missjen. I hate the new FB with the light of a thousand suns. I keep sending them angry feedback every time they ask.
Here’s another hack for you all. Up until the last few days, I was able to switch back to old FB for a couple of days at a time, just by asking. Then that option went away. But I discovered that when I go into a group I’m an admin for (which I have a couple of), it offers me that two-day option for “admin” purposes. And the switch applies to all of FB.
So if you have a group you administer, try that and see if you get the option. Even an old, outdated group. If you don’t have a group, try starting one and see if you get the offer.

I haven't logged into facebook to see how it works though. |

The new extension works great. All it does is give you the old layout back (by tricking fb into thinking you're using an older browser). If you want all the bells and whistles of fb purity, use it instead. The author says they can both be installed too (the functionality of reversesite is in fb purity, you just have the 'old version' enabled by default with the new extension).

It took me less than a day to adjust to the new FB. I am determined to not be one of those old ladies who can't handle change! I even throw caution to the wind and move the icons on my phone. Not always on purpose, but I move them around!  Who Moved My Cheese! I also really like the Dark Mode, both on my computer and on my mobile. |

I realllly don't like the new Facebook, and it is SOOOO slow too!! I would like to know exactly WHO they give the beta-test version to who says 'oh yeah this is great' and then they roll it out....

The background is dark instead of bright white. I have it on both my FB and Instagram. Easier on the eyes.  |
