Good morning. Today I only have one video appointment and dinner is rechauffe. I will post the Sausage ragu recipe from last night. It was a huge hit and dh wants it for dinner tonight, too. It also makes enough to freeze. So, I plan to do some vacuuming and dusting and then spend quality time w/my puzzle. Tonight I'll watch the debates while smh.
What's on your menu?
jeremysgirl, I will amend yesterday's post. I hope that work isn't too terrible and that you can relax in the evenings.
Have a happy and wonderful day.

Hope everyone survived their Monday okay.
Tonight I’m doing Taco Salads with a little bit of everything. Ground beef, lettuce, Mexican rice, black beans, corn, shredded cheese, tortilla chips and guacamole. I usually top mine off with sour cream and some Catalina dressing.

Taco salad sounds good PolarGreen12. Maybe I will suggest that to Jeremy. I have no idea what's for dinner tonight because I told him he had to be responsible for it. I'm up to my eyeballs right now in crazy between work and prepping for the camping trip. He's got to do something to help. I really want to watch the debate tonight too. But it's past my bedtime and I'm worried I might not make it.

Today we had an all day public transport strike, so I was pretty much stuck at home. I was going to go for a long walk, but it has been drizzling rain all day - I don't mind that it was cold, but getting wet is too much for me.
Dinner tonight is chilli con carne - it is bubbling away on the stove now and will be ready when DH gets home.
I don't think I told you all our family's interesting news: My older son is running for election to his local council! He is running on a platform of 'Love where you live' and is particularly focussed on amenities for young families in the area. It is all mail-in voting, and that finishes late October.

I'm supervising a test right now so all is quiet My mum is buying a ragdoll kitten ... she gets him next week so we are going to the pet store after I get off work to buy supplies ... she is so excited I'll post a photo of him when he comes home I'm sure we will go out for dinner after we shop but I'm not sure where ... maybe Denny's which means a veggie omelette for me!

I’m thinking stir fry. I have a bag from Trader Joe’s. I have shrimp & chicken available so we’ll see.
For some reason my body feels like it’s Monday. When I get home from work I want to decorate my porch for fall/Halloween. I had to buy ornamental kale at the grocery store. The garden stores are sold out already.

Happy Tuesday everyone! It's been a busy morning, I took DH to the airport early this am, He's flying to ND to pick up a truck. The irony in this is that I am the traveler in the house and only have 2 states left on my list to see before I've been to all 50 states. one of them is ND. So it's such a role reversal that I'm home working and he's traveling! Ah well, I hope he enjoys and takes his time driving back.
Due to this, I'm on my own this evening, I'm thinking either leftover roast beef or a calzone. either way, it will include a glass of wine and a crafty evening!
Enjoy your day everyone!!!

Hi peas. I'm usually hanging out on the scrappy side but I always follow this thread. Thought I'd join in today. I made 15 bean Ham Beans soup in the IP this morning. I'll make cornbread later tonight.

I missed yesterday's thread...too busy at work! Our egg rolls were a hit again. Only about 5 leftover of 60 made. We had frozen pizza last night as I don't want to think about dinner. EOM time makes my brain mush. So tonight may be take out. I would really like some Chinese, but we will see. Welcome nicolep!

Last night I finally made the short ribs and they were very good! There was some prep work up front, but otherwise it was a quick and easy slow cooker meal. sundaysuppermovement.com/slow-cooker-short-ribs/Usually I get pizza for election nights and debate nights. We’ll see. We might just have rechauffe from last night. ETA welcome, nicolep!

Busy morning here. The weather is glorious! Our first real taste of a Fall morning. Electricians showed up at 7:30 to run the new sub-feed. Then the power company showed up about 8:30 to pull the meter and cut all power. Finally had power reconnected about 11:30 and now I wait on the power company to come back and put the lock back on the meter. So many steps for one job! While the power was out I started the summer to fall switch out of clothes. All the summer things are folded and put away. I just need to finishing hanging up the fall clothes and put the sweaters away. There were a few tops added to the donation bag that are just too big now. This afternoon I need to catch up on my ironing and then do some more eBay listings. Since the weather is so nice, dinner will be a grilled steak and potatoes baked on the grill. Tonight I will be avoiding the tv and internet as I am just not interested in watching the debates. It's not good for my anxiety and stress levels. I'm sure the news media will be more than happy to tell me all about it for the next few days. ETA: austnscrapaddict - ND is one of the 4 states I need to visit to finish off the list! Had plans to visit them all this year, but we know how well that turned out.

Rainy and cool day today, so soup is on the menu.
DH has not been feeling well for a couple weeks and went to the doctor last Thursday and again Monday. They did some blood work yesterday and his doctor called him at 8:30 this morning and told him to go straight to the ER for a blood transfusion. (Among other health concerns, he does have a blood disorder.) He wasn't allowed to drive; someone from work took him to the hospital. I've stayed at work all day because I can't get in the hospital anyway. We've been in touch via texts. I'll take off work right after dismissal and hopefully he'll be ready to come home by then.
I hope we'll both be home safe tonight.
Not watching the debate tonight; I've had enough stress and aggravation today!

Tonight we are going to have a rosemary garlic pork tenderloin, scallop potatoes, and a medley of roasted vegetables. If I feel “bakey” I might even make some bread. Doing a half day of work today and then taking the afternoon off to finish up with my painting project.

Hi Everyone! After starting to read today’s thread which I couldn’t find for a long time. I realized that I must’ve missed posting in yesterday’s thread. I went back and realized that I haven’t posted since Friday. I think… Yesterday I had a lady come to measure for all new blinds in my house. So I was crazy busy all weekend cleaning; because she was going into every room of my house including the basement. My knee got the better of me so it took quite a long time. ODS discovered Door Dash on Saturday. So no cooking for me Saturday, Sunday or Monday. Tonight, YDS wants to make Beef Stroganoff. I can have the beef but not the stroganoff. All of your dinners sound delicious! sueg Good luck with your son’s election.

PolarGreen12 ooohhhh that sounds delicious!! tuesdaysgone Oh no! Thinking of your dh. Hope they can get him fixed up. Super quiet day here as it was just me and the pups. I did the basics but mostly just laid around listening to podcasts and music. Dinner is rechauffe. Not sure what I'll have yet but there's rotisserie chicken, grilled pork chops, salad...i forget what else. But there's more than enough for everyone to eat.

I gave a small pork tenderloin in the crockpot for pulled pork sandwiches, corn on the cob(close to the end of the season, darn it) and apple turnovers.
