For those that listened what did you think? At the very end of episode Jen Gallacher mentions something about a possibility of 2 Peas doing something w/ the education side of the business. She was just speculating, not saying in fact, 2 Peas is planning something Will b interesting to c what happens to that component.

I think Jen Gallacher was just leaving it open that she might not get her videos back and be able to post them. I can't see two peas going into the education aspect but hey what do I know I didn't expect them to close down the message boards either.

I was very disappointed they didn't mention us here since almost 2,600 Peas are now here. I worry about some of the regular posters that don't know about us yet but would love to.

I must be doing something wrong - I couldn't get the video to play. Do you have to subscribe to them now? I'm pretty sure that I've listened to them before w/o having to do anything "join-y". They're always fun to listen to since there are different people on. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong? I so suck at techno stuff. Thanks. Maria

Amongst my group of displaced buddies, scrapping only / non NSBR fans have settled on scr...com, a couple of them are considering joining here. We shall see. |

OP, thanks for the link. I agree with Karensay about getting bored before the intro was over. They're like that on every show, which is a big reason why I rarely listen to them. The only reason I'm listening to this one is because of Two Peas will be discussed.

I plan to post my work there and maybe talk on the boards a bit but I just feel like I'm in the midst of strangers. There are a few people I know. I don't know....I almost feel like I'm intruding there!! I guess that's how people felt about us on Two Peas who were new. |

The gist of the episode was once Leisure Arts sold 2Peas back to the White's, Nancy Nally from Scrapbookupdate.com knew the company was in financial trouble. She said, "why would a company sell a cash cow if they were performing well"? Totally makes sense. The panelists mentioned how the MB talked a lot about other stores when the Peas should have been supporting 2Peas. A lot of us know the reasons why we chose to go elsewhere. I was a little disappointed not to learn much more than we already knew. The beginning of the podcast when they were talking about American Crafts purchasing We R Memory Keepers was a little more interesting, IMO, than the section regarding 2Peas.

i don't think anyone who is willing to share has access to real dirt on what happened, so the podcast wouldn't have much to add.
I think the reference was to the paperclipping message boards, not scrapbook.com

Does anyone else not really even remember when Two Peas was owned by Leisure Arts? I think of Leisure Arts as the company having all those great compilation idea books...I don't remember them owning Two Peas! When was that and was much said on Two Peas about it? I'm like, "How'd I miss that?"

It was discussed at length on the MB's about the new ownership. No, there wasn't a long discussion on the podcast about LA other than if they were making money they wouldn't have sold 2Peas. The discussion was more or less the history of 2Peas and how the White's reacquired the company. |
