I always thought the idea of a swap was a nice idea, but would never participate because of safety concerns. So, I just avoid the swap thread and don't give it a second thought.

If you don't use your real name how in the world would it be delivered to you? No way is our mail person going to deliver some mail to Peano podster to my house....?? you guys get random mail addressed to different people? we never have. Nobody here looks at names. Mail gets sorted and delivered based on address only. I’ve lived in my house for thirty years and to this day I still get junk mail with the previous homeowner’s name! My brother had the Fredricks of Hollywood sent to our address under our dog's first name. |

Small town and everyone in town has a PO BOX at the post office which I have key to. My son used only a first name as a nickname with no last name and was able to get the item delivered. Some peas have already said they have PO BOX for situations like this. Be more informed before you start assuming weird shit. |

My P.O. Box (post office) is very good or strict on the name on the mail match the name on the form I filled out when I got my box.
I do sign my pea name in the card .

We use both a street address at the house and a PO Box at the PO and, holy cow, I only *wish* the PO would be a little more picky about what was on the first line.  It's obvious mail gets delivered here based upon the street address/box number. The top line is anything goes. When my kids were little, they'd address cards & letters to Uncles, Aunts, and Grandparents using nicknames on the top line and the mail always got to the recipients. Some of the nicknames are pretty goofy and don't have the adult's real name, so the carrier definitely had to go by the street address! |
