Well you two are no help whatsoever I think we'll hear from more participants over the next day or so. There's no rush. And yes, this new member did post to several threads today and by all appearances is a regular person. That said, I am making absolutely NO claims about her, I know exactly what you all do. I have heard from 1 PEA privately who has not yet signed up for the card exchange. She's been debating it, and says this is a dealbreaker for her. ETA: thank you for sharing your opinion as well "kids are brats." Appreciate it, it wasn't there when I started typing

I might opt out if a new pea joins in. I feel comfortable sending to everyone else and receiving from them as well.
But a new pea? Not at all...

Ok, decision made. I've heard from 2 more PEAS privately, and both are understandibly uncomfortable. Hopefully the new PEA will join in next year when her prescence has been established.
Thanks girls!

MichyM mind letting us know how many have joined so far? Going to get blank cards/envelopes so I can start making my cards and want to make sure I have enough plus extra.

As of yesterday there were 32 of us. I’m on my phone so I’m not able to check right now, but I don’t imagine it has grown much since then.

First of all, thank you for organizing this and being so responsive to the Peas input. I was really excited about this, especially this year when some happy mail would be a welcome event in my boring days. I haven't participated in the other exchange because of privacy concerns.
But first I have to vent about the Post Office:
I went on line and completed the application for my first P.O. Box. As soon as my local PO opened this morning, I went in to show the required two forms of ID and pick up the key. The clerk took a long time and then said that the number the computer assigned me was already in use and she wasn't able to assign another one since I had paid online. When I asked to see a supervisor she said there was none that could help me. So I left and called USPS customer service and had to go through 4 minutes of recorded messages and waited 40 minutes for a rep. The first rep was unable to help and transfered me to the help desk. The help desk said that they couldn't help and told me to go to my local PO! When I told her that I had been there she at least offered to send them a trouble ticket. She put me on hold while she wrote it up, but after several minutes I WAS DISCONNECTED.
Thanks for listening to my vent. I hope I will be able to resolve this PO Box issue next week because I really, really want to participate!

Ok, I'm now sitting with my laptop and there are 35 of us signed up as of this morning.
As far as who signs up and who doesn't. Again, I make no card exchange rules. That said, I think it would be lovely to remember that this is about each other, not about us as individuals. I personally am very hopeful that this thread remains light and fluffy, yes?

Ok, I’m in! I’m deciding between 2 card designs.
I added a note about formatting the address but if you have questions, just let me know. For Peas in other countries, it will go to the processing center in New York and then to our military post office in Belgium.
I'm so excited!

I’m pretty sure I’m joining! I love making holiday cards. Please do!! I am (in my head) trying to decide which stamp set to use. I love paper piecing—whether it’s my own fussy cutting or using dies. I go on a week trip in autumn to meet friends to craft and I always make cards. I made 104 last year, all hand paper pieced. I also did a lot of embossing and water coloring to practice. I’m also very fond of coloring pencils.

I just signed up. Not promising handmade cards because I'm not really a card maker. Also I'll most likely be moving house in November/ December so my craft room might be in boxes soon☺️. But I'm excited to send out some holiday cheer to the community that has kept me entertained throughout this crazy year❤️

There are 38 participants as of this morning. Unless there's a big uptick in sign-ups, I won't "report" numbers again until the end of the week

YEAH! I was wondering if we were still going to do this. Canadian here. Signed up. I'm going to start figuring out what card I am making this year and start on them. That way I can mail them out within the first 2 weeks of November incase we get really slow mail going over the border or across waters.
