I love paper piecing—whether it’s my own fussy cutting or using dies. I go on a week trip in autumn to meet friends to craft and I always make cards. I made 104 last year, all hand paper pieced. I also did a lot of embossing and water coloring to practice. I’m also very fond of coloring pencils. Your work is beautiful! Thank you! I love card making!

First of all, thank you for organizing this and being so responsive to the Peas input. I was really excited about this, especially this year when some happy mail would be a welcome event in my boring days. I haven't participated in the other exchange because of privacy concerns. But first I have to vent about the Post Office: I went on line and completed the application for my first P.O. Box. As soon as my local PO opened this morning, I went in to show the required two forms of ID and pick up the key. The clerk took a long time and then said that the number the computer assigned me was already in use and she wasn't able to assign another one since I had paid online. When I asked to see a supervisor she said there was none that could help me. So I left and called USPS customer service and had to go through 4 minutes of recorded messages and waited 40 minutes for a rep. The first rep was unable to help and transfered me to the help desk. The help desk said that they couldn't help and told me to go to my local PO! When I told her that I had been there she at least offered to send them a trouble ticket. She put me on hold while she wrote it up, but after several minutes I WAS DISCONNECTED. Thanks for listening to my vent. I hope I will be able to resolve this PO Box issue next week because I really, really want to participate! UPDATE: I am in!!! I just returned from the Post Office. I was able to cancel my online application and filled in the application in person. Fortunately, I there was a different clerk at the window that knew what to do. It took about 20 minutes and I felt bad for people that got stuck behind me in line, but it was worth it. I have already been making cards so I am excited. P.S. I never got a response to the trouble ticket I submitted on Friday.

Well, I said I wouldn't update until the end of the week, but we are up to 45 PEA participants and I thought y'all might want to know. I for one need to order more stamps We'll close this up this weekend, so if you've been debating joining in, nows the time to do so. If for some reason you have changed your mind about participating (I know sometimes we jump in with out thinking it through fully) please reach out to me privately and I'll take care of it and no one will be the wiser. ETA: if you joined the card exchange under the PEA name lvlybela would you please PM me? I don't see your name on the list of Refugees members. Thanks!

I've sent cards all years to everyone and have enjoyed it.
I am currently in the middle of getting ready to move the the thought of 100+ cards sounds daunting.
I think I will be in for this, the smaller one. I know I don't HAVE to mail to everyone on the list, but that's just me, I do.
I'll probably be sending bought for the first time ever, too. Not that that is a bad thing, it's just another not my usual.
Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to it!

Perhaps they’ve decided not to participate at all. I think it would be lovely for this thread to continue to remain positive, without complaints. ☺️ Thanks.

I hope everyone who joined this one realizes it’s not the original Christmas Card Swap. Some Peas might miss a lot of their regular card swappers from other years. Hope everyone receives cards that bring them lots of Holiday Cheer !

The second card exchange was created precisely because there are a good number of peas who do not want to participate in the swap that LEO is organizing. It would be lovely if those who choose not to participate in this card exchange could FINALLY accept that and simply move along. It’s starting to sound like sour grapes to me, and that is something you’ll need to deal with on your own. Please girls, just enjoy yourselves, and the card swap you’re involved with, and stop it. Ok? Ok. And thank you.

Not that that is a bad thing, it's just another not my usual. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to it! FWIW, I ordered a set of custom-made store-bought cards from Zazzle for this year. And they came in a week! They are actually less than buying boxed at the store, and I was able to customize the inner message from me to everyone. I will try to make some hand-made ones, but I have these to fall back on if that doesn’t happen. Although, I only ordered 40, so will need to make some hand-made, or order more, which is a great problem to have! eta: I’m quite excited that I just placed my first order for international forever stamps. 😀

If any of our international PEAS would like to send a packet to me with all of their US cards, and include $.55 for postage for each US card, I'm happy to mail your cards from Seattle. Just let me know well before time so I can make sure I have enough postage on hand! I will PM you. That might be easier.

I asked at the PO total and international stamps for 1 Oz is $1.25 Is this from Canada to other countries? Or other countries to the USA?
I'm in the USA and if I buy them on line, they are $1.20 which is good to 190 countries.
They are going up to $1.25 after the first of the year, I believe.
