DH and I are watching an incredible show on MSNBC, about Pete Souza’s years as the White House photographer during the Obama years.
It is a fantastic glimpse of the everyday job of being president.

I also liked that it told about Souza. I follow him on Instagram. I know who he is and that he is THE photographer but this gave a little insight into the man.

I can’t wait to see it! I have a couple of Souza’s books that’s are his pictures of President Obama and the stories behind the pictures. They are both such fascinating yet down to earth people. Totally the people you want to be around, hear their stories, and be part of their stories. They are both just naturally inspiring.

Depends who they sell the rights to I suppose. I have a feeling that it might be to Sky Documentaries or Netflix maybe? Sky I would be OK but I don't have Netflix

This. Exactly. I follow Pete Souza. The pictures make me so nostalgic. And sometimes teary. I missed the show. I really really need to find it, but I’m also afraid of how sad it will make me.

I watched the Pete Souza special last night too. So good, I cried during the part about Sandy Hook. I grew up in CT, dh did too, about 10 minutes from there. My kids started school post Columbine, so for a lot of reasons, that tragedy really hit home. The pictures of him in the snow with his daughters were really fun to see, too. The current political situation really puts into perspective what an incredible president Obama was. Even if you disagreed with him politically, he was intelligent, articulate, humble, empathetic, respectful, honorable and a role model. I’ve seen some of his posts on Instagram, they are very clever and convey so well the stark differences.
